Blue Screen BUT it goes away

YobB1n

Hello,

Unfortunately, when I booted up my laptop, it encountered a blue screen of death :( (stopcode MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (I've had this one before)). I was preparing for it to restart, but then the screen simply vanished and was replaced by my normal sign-in screen, I logged-in, and now it is functioning fine.

I've never had this before, even for the same stopcode on different machines it always restarts automatically.

Does this mean that, perhaps, the memory issue was solved before the PC had to restart? And is it anything serious to worry about?

Thanks!

if it has 12gb of ram does it have 3 separate sticks?

in any case one of the sticks probably has a bad area which is why it bluescreened but i guess it wasn't bad enough to need a restart

recovering from a bluescreen is a thing that can happen , but i havent seen it much since the windows 98 days

I agree, it is an interesting configuration. I think it might be 1x8 gb and 1x4 gb
