Corsair K55 Firmware Problems

I recently got a corsair k55 rgb keyboard and downloaded corsair iCUE to set macros and led colors for it. However it tells me that the firmware is out of date and this I should contact the manufacturer. What should I do?

Edit: the direst quote is " K55 RGB is using incompatible firmware and cannot be updated. Please contact our techinal support to resolve this"

Make sure iCUE is set to run when Windows starts. If Windows assigns drivers to the keyboard before the Corsair software does it'll create problems. After changing that (it's in Settings on the bottom right) do the following:

1. Open Device Manager

2. Locate and expand "Human Interface Devices"

3. Look for "Corsair Composite Virtual Input Devices"

4. Right click on it and select "uninstall device" and check the box to delete drivers

5. Restart your computer

I got it working:

1. Try to update firmware (will probably fail and keboard will not be visible in iCUE anymore)

2. Leave iCUE running

3. Unplug ang plug the keybord back to USB port on motherboard (while the iCUE is running)

4. Keabord should appear in iCUE

5. Run update one more time

I hope it helps.
