I think maybe you've been watching too many people who just slap a mic down and don't know what they're doing

maybe they use some filter to equalize the gain, idk. I just though it is weird. Also i have seen the http://bit.ly/2GVgiJe post. so they should have it in the first place. I know it is their choice in all, but it is just there, and it honestly doesnt sound that great.

You mean the mic? I don't think blue yetis are the answer as they could afford something higher end but every single radio, news, podcast, and so on all use different mics. This helps too if there is someone who talk louder or they need to mute it for some reason

That could be said about any mic. USB is nasty for mics and I know they already have an XLR setup so they could easily get two good mics
