About as high-end gaming PC as it gets. I've always had the vision of a dominantly-white build with black as a secondary, and other small accents. I particularly like Aorus and I'm not sure why myself.

It's was a 1080ti rather than a 2080ti so I would have to disagree. Also the cpu cooler is pretty underwhelming compared to the 8700k and I wouldn't pair it with the 8700k even if I was buying all the parts myself let alone in a hypothetical situation where I can make my dream pc without monetary limits.

2080 Ti is far too power-consuming for me that logistically, the GTX 1080 Ti is better for me.

The cooler is fine, it's one of the best air coolers out there, I'm not one for liquid coolers.

It's not one of the best air coolers around. It's a midrange air cooler. If I went air cooling I would get the dark rock pro 4 or nh-d15.

Best for price per dollar, but I dunno about total performance. I'd probably choose the new Noctua U12 wih dual NF-A12x25 fans (they're coming out with black fans next year so it wont trigger your OCD ;)

Also the 2080ti isn't that power hungry tbh.

A PC that can do at the very least 1080p 144Hz
On that note, my dream monitor is 1080p 144Hz.
(900p 75Hz FTW)

dream

I would get a pc unit that has 2 or 3 motherboards in the custom case, then of course the most expensive everything just so long as I can sell it and get the maximum money back from the Dream Fairy. Or better yet, a whole closet rack full of the most expensive components, that closet rack would qualify as a "pc" so I could probably get back $50k-$100k easy.

Atm my dream PC would be pretty much the one I have except with a 9900K and an ASUS Maximus XI Formula board with a 360mm+ custom loop system.

Due to monetary concerns I ended up with what I've got.

Next year my dream PC will be a Zen 2 16 or 24 core Threadripper build and this time I'm going to make sure that dream becomes a reality.

New Build (The Compromise): CPU - i7 9700K @ 5.1Ghz Mobo - ASRock Z390 Taichi | RAM - 16GB G.SKILL TridentZ RGB 3200CL14 @ 3466 14-14-14-30 1T | GPU - ASUS Strix GTX 1080 TI | Cooler - Corsair h100i Pro | SSDs - 500 GB 960 EVO + 500 GB 850 EVO + 1TB MX300 | Case - Coolermaster H500 | PSUEVGA 850 P2 | Monitor - LG 32GK850G-B 144hz 1440p | OSWindows 10 Pro.

Peripherals - Corsair K70 Lux RGB | Corsair Scimitar RGB | Audio-technica ATH M50X + Antlion Modmic 5 |

you are looking at the Genie in a Bottle question too literally. You should be asking for $100,000,000 in pc components to make a running pc, then sell it all and get a regular pc to suit your needs.

I love to day dream, but reality is what reality is. Most people do not need the latest and greatest, so a used pc from a gen or two before is sufficient. Sure there are gamers that like AAA games at supersonic graphic settings and try to gain every last fps, but its just a game to waste 1000's of hours of your life with. Which reminds me I came here to post a question and for me not to dick around, hence ergo, I digress.

You can keep that build, it's awful and I wouldn't use it if you paid me to.

EDIT: Did you even look at the build? 13 USB devices for 10 USB ports? No NVMe drives? Software RAID? 3 copies of Microsoft Office? 802.11n in 2018? Not even a Blu-ray drive? Only 2 case fans? Come on, this is just insulting.

Just look at the price 😛

I don't like the price. It ends in .82, not .55. 😉

I've been using computers since around 1978, started learning programming in 1980 on Apple IIs, started learning about hardware in 1990, ran a BBS from 1990-95, built my first Windows PC around 2000, taught myself malware removal starting in 2005 (also learned on Bleeping Computer), learned web dev starting in 2017, and I think I can fill a thimble with all that knowledge. 😉 I'm not an expert, which is why I keep investigating the answers that others give to try and improve my knowledge, so feel free to double-check the advice I give.
