Ultimate Dream Build For Free (Hypothetical)

This is my current build http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ The drives are in raid 6. All told it's about 4.6k USD

It will be pretty dream-tastic when I upgrade the ssd to something bigger, like the crucial m500 when it comes out, but for now I can't really ask for much more... though I might be getting more drives soon.

my computer room would be in a 3 bay 2 story loft style garage.

the computer would be housed in an old lamborghini countache large monitors would replace the windshield and of course the steering wheel and pedals would act as controllers.

i know it's a dream build, but i wont build something i won't fully use. so here's mine

FX8350 oc to as high as stability goes

corsair H80i

MSI 990FXA-GD80 or a Asus 990FX Sabertooth R2.0

8GB of Hyper X memory at 1600MHz

Plextor M4 120GB SSD boot drive (i have a home server so i dont need a storage drive)

HD 7770 Twin Frozr

Silverstone 600W

Corsair 300R

CM Storm Quickfire Rapid MX Red

Steel Series Sensei

nothing flashy.. im a fps gamer, runs virtual machines and i fold.. so this is a pretty good build for my usage

Nothing expensive, I want a PC build into my bureau.

Something where you have a glass plate on top of it, so you can see the parts.

Allso would like a portable screen with touchscreen (so like a tablet-pc combo).

Proud to be from Belgium.

This is my current dream build. I like to keep it somewhat modest, not picking all the most expensive items. Nice to keep our dreams a little bit within reach, don't you think? Something to reach for...

CPU: Intel 3960x, but bought after Haswell is out, which should lower the price of admission.

MB: Asus Rampage IV Extreme.

GPU: Dual MSI GTX 680 Lightning.

RAM: GSkill Ripjaws 2133, 4 x 8Gb.

Sound: Asus Xonar Essence One Muses Edition.

Boot/Games: Samsung 840 pro 256Gb x 2, RAID 0.

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 7200RPM x 6, RAID 10.

PSU: Seasonic SS-1000XP Platinum.

ODD: Asus Blu Ray burner.

Cooler: SwiftTech H220.

Case: Silverstone Fortress FT04, black, ? still not totally set on this choice.

Speakers: AudioEngine A5, REL Stentor III sub.

Headphones: Grado Labs PS1000.

Display: Dell U2713 27" monitor.

Keyboard: Logitech G710+.

Mouse pad: Mionix Enisis 320 Luna.

Fans: All Cougar Vortex, with two Enermax Vegas 140mm up front.

As you can see, audio is very important to me; not just clean, crisp graphics and gameplay. PC would do double duty as gaming and video/photo editing rig.

'Stop your grinnin' and drop your linen. Found em' (little Aliens reference for ya'll).

Anyway, its true. I found my new, for real, dream mouse. And its all because of, you know who, Linus.

The Leetgion El'Alduin RGP Gaming Mouse. And, no I didn't just pick it cause it was featured in his lastest mouse vid. They also make another mouse, the Hyperion, but I like the El'Alduin better. It has adjustable size and texture palm pads, custom led and dpi configs, excellent mechanical switches and great styling. I'm sold.

I've always preferred modest builds, so here is what I'd actually consider a dream build .

CPU: FX 8350 overclocked to 5.5 Ghz on Water .

GPU: 2 HD 8970s in Crossfire, OCed & water cooled .

Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z

Storage: 8 Samsung 840 pro 512 GB Solid State Drives .

PSU: Seasonic 1250W 80+ Gold .

RAM: 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Beast .

Watercooling: Custom loop with one 3x120 rad @ the top and one double thickness 2x140 @ the front with clear tubes and UV red dye .

XPSC Raystorm (RED LED) Waterblock for the CPU, & XSPC Razor (RED LED) GPU blocks.

Case: CM Storm Stryker, custom painted dark red .

Nice that is pretty much my dream build :)

i went with 3 x 780's to push a resolution of about 12,000 x 2,000 :)

a 480GB SSD in RAID 1 with an identical drive.

2 x VelociRaptors in RAID 1 for a total of 2TB

64GB of 2133Mhz RAM so i can have a 40GB RAMDisk (and well, because i can)

EVGA 1500W SuperNova because I need UBER power.

i have Watercooling at $1200 and that might or might now include cooling the GPU's. they look so perfect as they are already...

Win7 Ultimate because i need RAM recognition

Your turn :D

We dont want to have some jumbled mess of random chaos that states "an SSD"

that one is extremely disorganized. i thought maybe a cleaner one would be nicer to have.

if a mod wants to delete it then by all means. i already searched and saw that thread i just wished to improve and make a better, cleaner one.
