my laptop is drowning in viruses

so my computer has so many viruses that it won't turn on and I'm trying not to ice my hard drive, and I'm trying to scan the hard drive with anti malware software And removed a lot of the threats but it still won't turn on.

so I'm wondering if I could reinstall windows with out losing all my files, can any one help?

What do you mean by "turn on"? Are you including powering the device or just Windows starting up?

I wouldnt transfer any files from a virus infected PC. Anything could be infected. as to your PC, youre better off reinstalling.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

It’s possible that the said antivirus removed them but the damage done by the virus is irreversible. You’re best bet is to reinstall Windows and after that, run an up to date antivirus to prevent damage and practice proper computing hygiene.

It is possible to retrieve your personal files, but there's a chance that what ever computer you plug that drive into will also become infected.

damn even my photos because I used a sata to usb dock and opened my photos and they seemed fine

They would seem fine, thats the point. They may be infected and spread the infection to anything they touch. It's a gamble

Not always. If your system is that infected a clean install is the best option. That's why important items are copied to my external HDD immediately so I always have a spare copy.
