I'm going to play on a 1440p monitor..

I have a Gtx 1070ti to complete the build!!

it won't game without a GPU, but as for the other parts yeah that's a pretty damn good PC.

 

but i recommend you throw that PSU out and replace it with a lower wattage and higher quality one, even with an RTX 2080 Ti you won't need more than 500-600W

Looks quite good although it appears you forgot the gaming part: graphics card. Pop any good one in and you're solid.

Maybe get a 1tb ssd instead of two 500 gb ones, otherwise it looks good. You could also get higher mhz ram for not a lot more money. also another case depending on what you like. that ones looks to be more budget compared to the rest of the parts you have chosen

A cheap case presents its own set of frustrations, buyer beware.

But the RAM sticks are standard on all motherboards??

And I can go up in MHz and it's not going to crash with the motherboard?

Make sure you quote people so they know when To respond.

 

All ram is standard, most of the time it'll work in any physically compatible board. Ram speeds vary since Intel official spec says 2400 is max supported speed, but it's reasonable to expect your rated speed to run when enabling XMP.

So I can buy 3200mhz and just change it in the bios..

And then it works?

Ok,so buy higher MHz on ram change ssd to 1000gb and a gold power supply on 600w?? 

Then I have a good 2k gaming PC?

I think the ram speed is fine, and a "gold" power supply is one thing but there's more to quality. There's a PSU tier list on the forum for you to check out in the "cases and power supplies" section, worth a look.

As others mentioned get a lower wattage but better quality psu. Also, that cpu cooler is quite weak... if you want to OC I would suggest getting a better cooler or if you don't either go for an i5 8400 + B360 board or R5 2600 + B450 if you want to save some money or get an i7 8700 + B360 board for around the same price which would be better

Yep, standardized to fit common parts. (Unless it's extremely old or proprietary, which you should not even consider looking at)

I'm not sure about prices for you. Between an i5 8400+B360 board combo and an R5 2600 + B450 board combo I would just get whichever would end up cheaper.
