If they're already working on the next Xbox, it had better be at least three years out. It's far too soon for the next generation right now.

And they better not be thinking about omitting a disc drive; they can go screw themselves as far as I'm concerned if they're going to force us to use digital download for everything!

I mean, granted, current gen Xbox One and PS4 don't handle digital downloads particularly well but also no one uses optical media for PC gaming anymore. I'd argue if it weren't for Steam and digital downloads, PC gaming would be no where near as popular as it is today. As long as prices for the digital store are reasonable and there is someway to play older backwards compatible titles, I'm fine with it.

I'd be surprised if this console doesn't come with some form of optical media, but there's no denying that in a few generation's time, it's going to be all digital.
