Windows 10 Pro 64bit 1803 HELP!

Hi all,

 

I was starting my PC, booted up to windows, and it started initializing update from 1803 to 1809, while I see 1809 has many problems.. I cant stop it from downloading it.. I want to just cut my Internet connection but I'm worried..

 

What should I do???? please HELP!

Nothing really you can do, if it is already downloaded and waiting for reboot to install it cannot be stopped AFAIK.

Many of the issues have been resolved as well.

You can in the settings app under update and security delay all updates for up to 30 days, but once that expires it will immediately install all missing updates.

I need to be convinced more that 1809 is now good to have. I'm still have some worries if my files are deleted by it and the other problems are still potentially remains there..

 

I just paused it until next 35 days..

deleted files bit is from Known folder redirection that has been fixed awhile ago

No. It is still shit. Since you have the Pro, you can delay Windows 1809 upgrade for a year max.

How to extend the delay period? I thought it's only 35 days max

You have to look into Windows Update Group Policy where there will be an option for deferring upgrade.
