This Gigabyte AB350M-DS3H has a X370 chipset but it's not listed as such because it lacks some features of X370 boards. I know that because I own this board.
Not nitpicking, just pointing out for people who might be interesting in buying it.

i can seen why it is so open to what option i have right now a 2600x and rx580

since some people may want a lot more gpu  a lot of the game i have are cpu boudn  limit to 60 and when you get going  the fps can drop while the gpu do not do much  it is alwasy the ram and cpu is the limit

Overall ok builds, i'd probably toned down and swap out some weird picks and move the money somewhere else.

Game On build:

1. 32GB of RAM for gaming is overkill, if you game you don't need 32gb of ram, never, and that RAM Kit is ludicrously expensive, i'd probably settle for 16gb (2x8gb) of Corsair LPX ram at 3400mhz since it's much cheaper and the black matches the motherboard theme, if you want RGB ram G.skill rgb ram kits are much cheaper and look a lot better (imho).

2. That Noctua Cooler is ugly as sin, just get a Corsair H100i v2 with the money you saved from the stupid expensive RGB RAM Kit.

3. That RTX 2070 price it's not bad, but overall performance it's going to be between a 1070ti and a 1080 so if you want to save some money get a 1070ti, RTX it's not going to make a difference for a long while. But just know that even if you want the newer card it's not a terrible pick, go for it.

4. I don't particularly like Seasonic PSUs, had a couple and all ended up making lots of noise after 2-3 years due to the terrible fans they use, get a EVGA or Corsair instead if it fits in your budget.

i5 6600k@4.6ghz (1.31v) | Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1@2.05ghz | Corsair LPX 16gb (2x8GB)@3.2ghz | Asus ROG Maximus Gene VIII | Corsair H100i v2 | Samsung 850 PRO 512GB | WD Caviar Blue 1TB | Corsair Air 240 Black | Corsair CS650M | Corsair ML120 (3x) | Link

Are these results with OC? it seems that 2070 is (by a bit) better than a 1080

Those are not OC. Mind you, many tests put them literally on the same page but in general, 2070 is better. And those are both FE and 20 series founders is better with cooling. Should probably take that into account if you wanna think about OC results.

Might be better bang for the buck which shifts things completely to 1080 corner.

Eh. Shoulda gone 8700K in that case, or a 9900K with 16GBs of RAM

Not sure about other places, but here 8700K is a few $ more than 9700K while being worse for gaming specifically. By a small margin that is. 9700K is very close, sometimes even better for gaming than 9900K which is interesting, but also by a small margin, while being significantly cheaper. All together 9900K is better but for much higher price.

Or those glorious $400 1920X s

Also the RTX 2070 only has the same performance of that 1070ti(with OC)?

Depends on what you are using the PC for.

I dont know if the highest clock speeds in the 7th gen intel

oc any higher then the new stuff, but the reason and purpose of oc is meaningless.

I mean spaceheater

AMD FX-9590 (OEM/Tray) 4.7 GHz

or

Intel Core i7-7740X

4.3 GHz

 its LGA2066

Not apart of the conversation above really, but for those looking for the Ryzen 3 pc, the Amazon link is wrong. Someone accidentally used the wrong link. image.png.dd77cde2cb552f12b726dcad2a81aebf.png

The 8700K is just like $50 cheaper depending on sales and has basically the same performance factoring in OCs, also the 9700K is a cheap shot to customers because it lacks hyperthreading, but that's a side note.

Not sure if there's an added motherboard cost either for a better VRM for the 8 core.

Hey how can you trust a person who's only in it for the dollar and does whatever it takes to maximize the profits for each and every video.

That is a cheap card!

Looks legit!

Too bad no international shipping :(

Package forwarders would work though :)

The depleted stock situation actually makes me feel REALLY GOOD about picking up two 1080Tis right now. Even if my SLI experiments fall apart--and I'm expecting them to--that just means I have an easy second system to put together right there, because the pricing on some of these boards and CPUs is superb right now.
