Another 2 + years wait for new nVidia card ? wrong section

We all know how nVidia for a couple years milked the 1080 and 1080 Ti to follow.  If they follow this schedule then the 3080 RTX is 2 years and then some away from coming out.  If you cant wait 2 years or more then grab the 2080 RTX ..and what not.

IMO there is a LOT they can do with these new cores. Currently they are used for RTX. They might be able to get other stuff out of them (as we do with CUDA cores). May not all go into gaming, but there is tons of headroom here, the silicone is practically double the size now.

Truth be told, people who bought the 1080ti when it premiered have won the goddam lottery and came as close to "future proofing" as it gets with GPU's.

Yes the 1080 is still a beast, just not for 4k gaming.
