1 monitor and 2 connections from a single PC

Hello!

 

so I just got a new gaming rig with the following specs:

 

Asus z270 pro gaming

Intel i7-7700

Gigabyte’s GTX 1080Ti

32GB DDR4 ram

ssd nvme....

 

so quite a powerful machine I think.

 

And the monitor I bought is Samsungs super-ultra-wide chg90 49” with 144hz refresh rate.

 

My question is, can I connect a single pc with 2 cables to this one monitor so it will act like it’s 2 separate monitors and I can run half of it fullscreen some game (PUBG ie...) and the other half can stay clear for anything else...??

 

OR how can I set the same game (PUBG) to stay in the 2560:1080 (but not windowed!) resolution while the remainings of my screen are clear?

 

I really hope anyone understands what I am trying to achieve

Sell it, buy a regular ultrawide and a second monitor, then take the left over money and buy a better GPU.

LMAO I'm blind af. Still... That monitor is a waste of space. Might as well get triple 1080s. It'll still be like 60% of the total cost.

Many games actually do support 32:9.

Funny enough, CSGO doesn't have it's 21:9 problems on 32:9.

any game that does HFoV+ will run 32:9.

Almost every MMORPG will support 32:9 because almost all of them use HFoV+.

I used to play on 32:9 so here's games that I've tried that support 32:9 that I've played.

i mean I get what your saying, but if you can afford it why not go the best for that extra millimetre of enjoyment.

 

 

its like comparing a Lamborghini and a Bugatti. A Bugatti could be 5x the price but if you can afford it even if it’s 1.01x the happiness why not.
