Rode PSA1 arm questions

Hey Guys,

I have some questions regarding Rode's PSA1 boom arm. I couldn't think of any other place other than this forum to ask, this is my first post ever. So here's my query: I have a Rode NT-USB and I want a boom arm to go along with it, my choice is the rode PSA1 boom arm as it holds good reviews. So, I was wondering- Do I need to invest in a shock mount in addition to the boom arm?

Cheers

depends,
it would be a nice to have for sure, and would prevent any vibrations from the mic arm from being heard in the mic itself.
but from my experience it's not too bad without it.
so it depends on what you want/need
