So the board will show post numbers?

If it has one of those post code displays, yes it will.

What motherboard do you have?

Hi everyone

A few weeks back my corsair cooler blew inside my case spewing liquid over everything. So I cleaned the motherboard and it worked fine for about 2 days after everything happend but I went to buy myself a new cooler. As soon as I went to install a new cooler and switched my pc back on nothing worked. The motherboard showed that there was power.

After about 3 weeks I would like to test the mobo but I don't want to disassemble my pc just to check.

Thanks

Nope. It'll power on like usual but it will not pass POST without those things installed. Especially without the CPU.

The mobo will light up, but will display a post code that signals "no CPU" or "no ram". I have never encountered a motherboard that actually has to have a CPU inserted to recieve power.

Got the Mobo running. Gonna let it run for a few hours just to make sure everything is good before I switch. Thanks for all the help
