Does my IV Extreme board need both CPU power plugged in?

It has an 8pin + 4pin CPU power. Do I need to power both for the system to work, or can I just use the 8pin and leave the 4pin disconected? 
Asking because my PSU only has one CPU power connector.

You can, but it's generally recommended to use both. Also, how did you get your hands on a Rampage IV Extreme, yet you have a PSU that only has one EPS connector? I would recommend getting a better PSU. Judging solely on that, it's probably not a super high quality or high wattage unit.

Using a Corsair CX750M Semi-Modular. It's more than enough juice for my 4930K.
