Laptop upgradability

HI

I want to add an m.2 ssd to my laptop, specificly Samsung 970 Evo M.2 250GB. But I have a few questions. 

1. How do I know if my laptop is compatible with this ssd cause I know that it needs PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 1.1 ( My laptop is an Acer apire 5 with an intel core i5-7200u and nvidia 940MX)

2. Does opening your laptop remove your warranty?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

1. Aspire 5 has x2 PCIe lanes M.2

2. No unless you damage something

 

Also, why 970 EVO? Value wise it's a terrible choice. Most users won't benefit from high speed NVMe SSDs anyway since many tasks depend on 4k write/read speeds not sequential
