I can not find my unraid server when connected to my router

jake765111

Hi. I have a network setup that is not working for me very well. I have a modem that then goes to a network switch. Attached to the switch is my server and all of my other wired devices. Also attached to the switch is a router for a wireless single. When connected to the router I can not find all of my devices such as my server.

What should I do?

Did I fix your problem? Please feel free to donate to me at <Link Removed>

Any donation is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

What should I do?

Connect the modem directly to the router, then connect all your devices to the router.

Is there any to do this differently? I need more ports on my router and I will not have a gigabit connection on my network

connect the switch to the router and use cat5+ you'll have gigabit internally.

I assume the modem is a modem router combo?

Did you disable DHCP and NAT on the router you're using for wireless?

I would suggest first try disabling those two bits in the wireless router first and see where that puts you.

So wireless works but wired doesn't?

I would try an IP release and renew on the wired adapter.

How are you connecting the switch and the router and the PC as well?

Via one of the four black ports on the router to a port on the switch and one of the same black ports to the PC?

Input from ISP is to the modem and then to the router. I have an output connection on the router that goes to the switch. All items are on switches such as server and pc.

I tried to access the server on a different pc (Win 7) and it worked. It is just my current pc that will not access it. I have had this issue before.

This PC that refuse to browse to Unraid doesen't happen to be windows 10? In that case i'd check windows features for "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support" Just tic on that feature. If that is the case i had the same problem myself :/

I was having other issues so I reset my network setup. I can now access it on all devices except through my modem. I have no clue what I am doing wrong!
