144Hz monitor

Manzanero96

I haven't used this monitor but it seems decent. The main things you want to consider are Refresh Rate, Panel type (IPS,VA,TN), Response time, and brightness.

I usually look for an IPS or VA panel because they have better colors - but they have slower response time. As long as the response time is in the single digits it should be fine. Also I look for a brightness of around 300-350 lumens on the low end.

If you want good monitor reviews go to Rtings website

well, as long as you have no problems with having a tn, both are good choises imo

Right now I have this really cheap IPS.

What do you think about upgrading it to the HP 144Hz?

Do you think I will notice a downgrade in colour on a low end IPS??

not by much. a good tn is better than a cheap ips. I think it's a safe bet, but I don't have that much with refresh rates personally.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a AOC g2460pqu. The blur is not the best and the plastic pops and crackles all night unless I massage it.

The screen is pretty bright and vibrant for a TN panel.
