Radeon 3080 vs RTX 2070 vs CPU rendering.

Comparing these three cards: RTX 2070, (anticipated) AMD Radeon 3080 and AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (12 cores at 4.2 GHz), how would they perform in 3D rendering in applications like Blender?

 

I'm mainly interested in how the two graphics card compare, and also how much faster they are than CPU.

What renders? How much ram does your scene need? Normally gpus will be much faster than cpus, but your limited in vram and features and compatibility.

 

The 3080 is gonna be a while, so its anyone's guess, but normally openCL has worse compatibility than cuda.

The 3080 hasn't even come out (if that's what it'll even be called), how the hell are we going to know how they do?

commenting on unreleased hardware is like predicting the lottery, those who say they can are liars.


Studying abroad, ditched the crappy laptop for a do-all laptop double. Dried factory CPU paste, long memory timings, cooler cools the inductors but not the mosfets and an inch of unused internal space on both left and right

The best thing to do is reading the clock speed that doesnt end in a pair of zeros. Software voltage readings are wrong if your motherboard's not a high end model

I seem to like any products who have the same software and hardware maker, as long as it's not Apple. Weird. I like the Surface Book and the Pixel phones, but most definitely don't want an iPhone (I'm not saying they're bad, though).

We have no performance numbers on the RX 3080 -- we don't know whether or not it will BE named the RX 3080.
Consideringthe current numbering system is at RX 500 series, it is more than likely to be the RX-600, etc.

We have nothing on the next generation specs, everything is
