I need help

Ok, so Long Story short my Pc consists of a Zotac 1060 6gb Mini, i5 7500 (4C/4T) @ 3.4GHz, a MSI Z270 m6 ac, 16GB 2400MHz Ram (PNY Anarchy DDR4), And an EVGA 750G Supernova PSU. Ive realized my performance has decreased since i got my PC and I'm just wondering what the Issue is. I have all my Drivers Updated/BIOS Updated, The last time i did a clean install of windows was about 5 Months or so ago. I noticed the problem when i Play CS:GO and my Frames/Frametimes aren't what they used to be, Another problem I'm getting is When i play Rainbow Six Siege (lowest possible settings @ 1440x1080) and i have Discord open, For some reason my Keyboard is heavily delayed, My Discord Stutters/Skips (This isn't an issue with Discord we tried Different Programs The same issues happens there). And another Weird issue im having is All the Delay from my keyboard is just completely gone when i put my game in windowed mode. I really don't know any other solutions besides just buying new parts. Id just like some help with this problem. If you have any solutions just reply to this Thread and ill see if that solves my problem. :D
If you need to ask any questions Concerning getting any other information on my Situation ill try my best to help.

Could be some weird virus or something, I'd try running malware bytes and windows defender to see.

How are temperatures and usage from the cpu and gpu?

I forgot to mention that I know for a fact that its not a Virus or whatever possible like that because before i redid windows i benchmarked and then benchmarked after a Completely Fresh installation of Windows The Performance numbers were basically the same. My temps are usually fine because i never go above medium settings bc of this problem in the first place, But if id test GTAV On Max settings i think my 1060 would be 75+C and my i5 7500 would range around 50-60C but at an unplayable framerate

I have no clue, I've never played Rainbow 6. What about other games? Can you send me a pic of the actual system and screenshots of the problems (maybe not the screenshots)?

Just message or quote me if you have questions! I might not be able to answer them, but I might be able to help!

Current PC

Way too crappy to even say.

You're still running a mechanical boot drive?

Try defragmenting your boot drive. Better yet replace it with an ssd.

Thank you for the screenshots, and I agree with @markr54632, it seems like the problem could be the drive, but I'm not the most prominent expert on this. I DO know that it might be solved with a replacement drive but don't do it unless you're absolutely sure that's the problem. Try running more free tests. How long do the userbenchmark tests run? Try it more times and see if you get the same results. That's my uneducated advice.

The userbenchmarks usually take up to a minute or so, I was going to say that I appreciate the advice anyways because all the other people i asked were left clueless with what the problem could be. One says Motherboard, the other Says BIOS, And the other group would say the CPU/GPU. I remember 6 or so months ago i did a benchmark and the test scores told me that my GPU was the problem, Couple months later i do the same test and it says the problem is the CPU. But I will keep this into Consideration for my Next purchases, I wasnt Planning to buy anything GPU/CPU wise anyways because on paper the specs should be able to handle any game at Medium-High and maybe Ultra on Non Triple A Games. What else do you think i could do that help me tell if the Hard drive is the problem?

Try running different tests. https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskmark/

Like that. Also run more UserBenchmarks and see if it's the same.

So i ran the CrystalDiskMark program on my Main Boot Drive and heres the Results: https://gyazo.com/504a6143a21c0d36bac1f3a711e10370

(I ran my Other Hard Drive, Just in case you need to see it) : https://gyazo.com/4c1a577a0055b2c9959614d4157d697a

And then i Ran Userbenchmark and here are the Results: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/12736360

It's really not that hard to use the full 100 mB/s bandwidth that harddrive has to offer. Also the more data that drive has on it the slower it will perform.

Even a 20 dollar ssd should make a significant difference.

You can run task manager or other monitoring software to monitor resource usage. Anything that shows real time hdd usage will work.

It also shows that you have alot of background processes eating system resources. Go through task manager and close any unnecessary processes.

i was going to mention that im so confused on my CPU usage %, most of the time the actual monitoring software is taking up all the usage. And sometimes "system" will constantly be at 60%

So the problem Solution is a new Boot Device?

So, the problem seems at this point to be your boot drive. I'm not saying replace it, just to run more tests. If you really need to, you could back up all your programs on to a portable hard drive and replace it (I might do the same), but that's because it's a full drive and running like yours is. Bizzare as it may be, it can be fixed! Hopefully with no replacement parts though.

Not really, but a new boot device will make a world of difference for your system. Seriously a 20 dollar ssd would make it feel like a new system.

You need to find out what is using those system resources. I can virtually guarantee it's not monitoring software. Not sure what you use, but cpuid hwmonitor is a good one. I can run it on a single core atom processor without it using that much.

It sounds like you have a virus or a program running in the background. Run task manager and see what program says it is using those system resources.

would a good virus detecting software help? because i just did a full scan on my PC for malware and stuff with malwarebytes and it detected some and i restarted my PC and there is no difference in performance and the issues are still there.

I mean im down to lose everything for performance back, honestly but I'm only going to buy a new Boot drive when i know that the Boot drive is the problem, The only issue is that i dont know any other Tests to do to see if my drive is the problem.

Honestly do a clean install and slowly install the programs you use one by one until you find the program.

There really isnt a "good" antivirus software. Once a system is compromised, it is permanently compromised. The only real solution is to format the drive and start anew.

Would a Proper Plan be to buy a new Boot Drive (Preferably a m.2 or ssd) and then Wipe everything on my other drives completely and just install what i absolutely need? Even though im pretty sure that It wont do anything because the last time i redid windows and wiped my hard drives there was no difference in performance.

SOOOOO! Back up your important data, stuff that isn't in the cloud (online games), to a mass storage or even the other drive, and pull up the uninstaller, so it's just time being sacrificed. Hopefully. Sorry if I'm slowly destroying your computer...

Just message or quote me if you have questions! I might not be able to answer them, but I might be able to help!

I mean i dont Have many important "data" the only thing important that i would say is maybe my Photos and stuff but i can just fit them all into a .rar file and grab them back. But i get your point. Its all worth it in the end if it fixes the problem trust me. If it is possible can you send your friend the link to this forum so they could find any solutions? If so Great :D

I did, but he also has no clue. Sorry for getting your hopes up a bit. He's a Linux person. I may have an extra McAfee for you (MIGHT I may have used them all) if you want some virus detection stuff. Otherwise, just empty the drive.
