get a feeling this would quickly get outside of the guidelines

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

"Here is some advice that might have gotten lost somewhere along the way in your life.

#1. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

#2. It's best to keep your mouth shut; and appear to be stupid, rather than open it and remove all doubt.

#3. There is nothing "wrong" with being wrong. Learning from a mistake can be more valuable than not making one in the first place.

SEO sounds like an extremely niche section, surely an umbrella section such as 'Business' would be a better fit so the whole section can be talk regarding the entire business spectrum which includes SEO?

As others already covered basics, let me say this. We get new sections when there's clear need for it. So when some discussion topic is overwhealming and covers multiple other areas. As you may have noticed (or not since you listed subforums that already exist), we don't have subforums for 3D printing, VR or smart devices. Thats because there aren't that much interest that it would be beneficial to have them divided. Just look at how many other OS' Linux or macOS have to share their subsection with.

From your points:

  • Making money - ? In terms of what? I'm learning land survey engineering and GIS, would that be good place for me? Nope as what I know about these things are very niche for this forum. Most of the time I know more than others. If you have questions, they belong to GD as they have in past. They are so rare (once or twice a week) that they really don't require anything.
  • Websites are under Programs or programming. Depends on how deep you are going with it. If its HTML, CSS or anything deeper than that, its programming. If its using SquareSpace, then its Software.
  • SEO... I've heard that term once or twice on these forums. Looking at search its thrown around a bit. But looking how it ties so generally around, there probably won't be need for dedicated section
  • White-hat hacking. I have general understanding of what this would include. And as such this forum is not best place for it. But I'm sure you will find proper folks under programming or hobby electronics. Because there sure are folks in here who are willing to help one to bypass school/workplace restrictions even when they are aware that CS prohibits such discussion.

As future note. Read Community Standards before posting. Also browse around to see what is already happening. The fact that you suggest already existing forums tells much. Also use search. Its not Google, but works well enough that I can verify most of my claims by just using it. Otherwise, welcome to forums.
