Well, I'm looking for a phone not for right now, but idnk in like a year I want some specific features on my phone which I found mostly in this 2 phones if you find another one with the same I would appreciate it if you would send me. XPERIA 5 ll and ZENFONE 7 PRO were the closest to my needs after months of searching, but still not sure if they are really good enough for the price I say this because the Xperia has literally all I need but its a oled idnk if the screen still burns if kept on the same image for a really long time like movies with a logo or something and I'm not sure about the camera setup its triple 12mp it is sony but I really would like another opinion. The features I NEED to have: 802.11ac High Refresh Rate 90/+ Minimum Battery 4000 Mah Good / Great camera Quality Video and Photo Dolby Atmos SD expansion 512gb or + Bluetooth 5.0/5.1 Really want as well: I really would like 3.5 Jack cause im looking at gettings some "semi-audiophile" headphones for daily great/amazing music experience. The Asus Zenfone AR was announced at CES this year and I was wondering if anyone had any news as to what carriers the phone might show up on? I know Asus has their Zenpad Z8/10 tablets with Verizon and I was wondering if their kickass (spec-wise) phone will be hitting the red map? Google was not my friend in this search for information but if any of you lovely people know anything about it, let me know. Thanks in advance.

I have both simcard slots occupied on my Asus Zenfone 2 Laser. One operates on the T-Mobile network while the other one operates on the AT&T network. Seeing the 2nd sim is the one running on the AT&T network, it's stuck in 2G mode. I know AT&T recently shut off 2G support. Would there be anyway of forcing my phone to run in 4G and 3G simultaneously? I am willing to root my phone and flash custom rom.

Currently unsure with buying the Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom phone, your word on it would be much appreciated, is it good, is it bad, is there any other phone in it's price range that's better. Also, is the camera good?

I've been eyeing new phone to replace my very dated and slow Sony Xperia XP at about 300€ price range (Can golittle bit over that.) OnePlus2 has gotten my notice. I have been looking at other options such as ASUS Zenfone 3 and LG Nexus 5X but OnePlus2 looks most convincing right now. However, since this is quite a bit money for me, I wan't to know that my purchase can stand the test of time for next couple of years and that the product will be supported and not just cast aside in couple of months. I'm not looking for anything especially amazingly special in my phone. I want it to be snappy, customize and reliable, you know, something that won't go up in flames. Feel free to recommend anything that comes to mind in the aforementioned price range and do mention all negative things you can say about OnePlus2.

Hi, I've got a Zenfone 5z with 6GB of RAM and it randomly slows down almost like it's interface is running at 15 fps, even when I got no apps running. When I use the "Optimize" app from Asus it starts running smoothly again, but sometimes only a restart can solve the issue. This issue is frequent and drives me mad that a 6GB phone runs like crap with only Instagram running at times. Does anyone know why this happens or how to avoid it?

Sources: Dave2D | Engadget | Android Central Asus has officially come out with the newest addition to the ZenFone lineup, the ZenFone 6, which looks to offer another option to Android lovers around the world with its arsenal of high-end hardware and stock Android to boot. The most notable things about the phone are the internal specs, boasting a Snapdragon 855, 8GB of RAM, a headphone jack (wow), and a huge 5000mAh battery. Additionally, it's notchless. That's done through the flip camera. As for price, the ZenFone 6 will launch at €499 for the 6GB RAM variant. It seems Asus has really taken the time to make a phone that strays away from the bloatware-infested old iterations of the previous ZenFones and introduced a package with amazing internal specs and an equally impressive exterior with no notch and a unique flip camera, similar to the likes of old Oppo phones.

I can't decide on which phone to buy.my budget only allows me to go up to 500 dollars or so and considering this restriction, I've got 3 options 1.one plus 7 2.asus zenfone 6 3.redmi k20 pro/mi 9t edit: I live in India so my options will be limited to that region. camera/video, audio, ui is a bit important to me I don't like Bluetooth earphones and due to the notch one plus is out of the options both Asus and k20 pro are value-flagships, good construction, etc Asus adv -good ui -good audio -good camera -bigger battery(5k vs 4k mah) -micro sd slot, dual speaker k20 pro adv -better screen -faster charging confusion -I prefer stock android and would love to go with Asus however Asus has an LCD whereas k20 pro which is a bit cheaper has a Samsung AMOLED screen with hardware dimming (NOTE: both have 600 nits peak brightness and are hdr) -I could possibly root k20 pro but that's not something id prefer to do as I'm not sure about warranty. I need the phone now and currently, there are no custom ROMs for it on xda that can be used as daily drivers! which one should I buy? any help is appreciated!

I was trusting asus all this time to provide a good stock android experience, but my god their inadequacy as a good oem has baffled me. How hard can it be to update a stock version of Android to pie? They delayed the update and security patches so many times, and finally when pie alpha does drop, it still has all the bugs from the pie beta. I still believe, that they can fix and redeem themselves, but in case they don't, i would like to install a reliable custom rom for asus zenfone max Pro m1. My main requirements will be dark mode, dark notifications, dark everything, near stock experience, reliability, and easy and quick updates. Which will be the ideal rom for my case? I havent had any experience with installing custom roms as well so i would also appreciate a simple to follow guide. Thank you

I'm planning to buy a new phone and after some time I have stopped between these two. I want to ask which one is going to be better performer in games, apps. The Asus have 4 GB of RAM but does its quad-core 2.3 GHz Intel atom is going to be enough, and the Nexus have Quad-core 1.44 GHz & dual-core 1.82 GHz but only 2 GB of RAM. So what do you think guys ? Also which one will be better overall for the price, like quality and etc.

I just switched from an iPhone 4s to the Asus Zenfone 2. I am having trouble receiving text messages. I can only receive a text if I have recently (like in the last 2-3 minutes) sent a text. Otherwise I receive no texts. I have been to the local AT&T store 3 times, they have, updated the device, did what they called a hard reset, made sure the device was listed properly on their servers, and replaced the sim card, all with no results. I have tried switching off 4g, different messenger apps, and every setting I can think of. Still can't receive any texts unless I was just texting. Any ideas???? Thhanks.

Are the quality of Asus phones any good?
-
Ok, I'll try to keep this short... I may have done a stupid thing...I may have uninstalled the Google Play app. "But wait, just download the APK from the interwebs" Tried that, it just booted to a white screen before crashing. I am completely open to suggestions since my phone is pretty much unusable at the moment. I have an Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML if that's of any help And don't forget, Vote For Turnip

Hey guys! So I've been trying my best to do as much homework as humanly possible on the Zenfone 2. Currently I have a Samsung Galaxy S5, and it's pretty well fucked. -excuse my language- but I have Verizon for one more month, then I'm switching to AT&T, but I'd like to purchase the Zenfone 2 now. I've seen a few things that said people could get the Zenfone 2 to work with Verizon 4g, but no other bands, and from the looks of it the phone supports all the Verizon bands in the US. Does anyone have a Zenfone 2 that could try this? Has anyone tried this and know the result? PLEASE help me out. I'm ordering it no matter what, but I just wanna know if it'll work here on the Verizon 4g bands! Thanks. Hey guys, so I have the Asus Zenfone 2, and I also have Verizon for the next month. If I put my Verizon sim and adjust the APN settings to this: https://apn.gishan.net/settings/1167_13_verizon_apn_settings_for_asus_zenfone_2_laser.php and it now says it's Verizon, and I have 4g LTE, but I can't call or use the Interwebs. I know that it doesn't support CDMA, and verizon 2g and 3g bands use CDMA, but their 4g doesn't use CDMA. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Plus not sure whether to save a few bucks and get the 720p screen one or 1080p screen one?? N.B. both are 2gb with 1.83ghz clock speed and the same gpu! have a look at the variants list if you are not sure...

Hey guys, so I have a quick question that I'd like to discuss. The Asus Zenfone 2. Do any of you guys think it's a interesting thing that Asus is bringing a competitor to the mid range, and affordable Android Market? What carriers do you think it'll run? Which carriers do you thing it won't run? I'm from the USA, but I'm sure things are similar in Canada. Thanks for your, hopefully good, feedback!
