My PC works fine except that if you cut the power to it, it will always restart itself after a few seconds once you boot it again. I've enabled XMP for my ram, so it runs at 6600 MHz instead of 4800. I think the yellow light is for BOOT, but I'm gonna post pictures. Hello I'm building a new pc. Finished the entire setup, but it's not booting. Using: Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WiFi AMD Ryzen AM5 ATX CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600x RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB AMD Expo 32GB (2 * 16GB) DDR5 6000 MHz CL36-36-36-96 GPU: GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 WINDFORCE OC 12GB PSU: ASUS TUF Gaming 850W Gold As soon as i boot it up yellow qled flashes and boot stops there. but if i use any one of the two RAM sticks everything boots up normally. Have tried almost everything please help!!!

Ok so i built a new a PC yesterday and it's been working fine, up until i decided to overclock my ram that is..... I followed this YouTube video which told me to use dram calculator and all that, but after tweaking everything to the values I got from that my pc won't post.... And now this yellow light of doom is shining brightly inside my pc case.... Any suggestions as to how to fix this...??

Running into a bit of an issue with my new Ryzen build. This is my 3rd Build I’ve ever done, so still kind of new to all of this. I know my way around a computer decently, but I’m stumped. Upon initial boot, everything fired up fine. Case fans, AIO fans, and all RGB. The computer posted and I was able to get into the bios. At this point I got on my old PC and created a boot drive for Windows 10 installation. I was poking around a little bit into the bios settings of my (new build) ASUS TUF Gaming X570 mobo, and did something with the boot order that I’m unsure what exactly I did, (on the first boot). I then “saved changed and exited” on the bios. From this point, I could not get anything to display again. I flipped the power supply switch, restarted, and now I’m left with a static yellow light (indicating DRAM). I have tried multiple solutions including resetting of cmos and can not get anything to work and get me back into bios. These are the things I attempted with no solution: 1) Powered off, flipped switch, and unplugged power cable. removed GPU and cmos battery, waited 5 minutes, plugged battery back in, then gpu. Restarted, no luck. Still yellow DRAM light. 2) Tried with only 1 RAM stick in recommended slot (A2), then tried other stick in A2, then tried each stick in B2. No luck in any of those 4 configurations. Yellow DRAM light 3) Repeated all of attempt #1, but also used a screwdriver to jump the cmos reset pins (Or whatever they’re technically called) on my motherboard. I did this with power unplugged, no GPU, and no cmos battery inside. Attempted restart without gpu in and things got interesting. Lights kept blinking in following order: Orange, Red, White. Over and over multiple times until finally settling on static WHITE. (Of course, because no gpu was plugged in, but at this point I was ready to see anything different). 4) Continuing off of #3, I then plugged the GPU back in with no cmos battery installed to see if I had successfully reset bios, but was greeted with the same original issue. Power cycle orange red white, then settling on static yellow. Same as before. 5) Kind of an “out-there” attempt but I tried to boot without ram sticks in, no cmos battery, and no graphics card installed (more or less just to see what the lights would do) and the lights didn’t cycle through, it was static orange. 6) My final attempt before posting, I reinstalled everything, cmos, gpu, and both ram sticks, plugged in power, and turned it on, only to be created by the orange red white power cycle before once again landing on static yellow forever. At this point I have no idea what to do or try. I don’t believe I have any faulty parts because I DID have a successful first boot and got into the bios. a couple of important notes: -While inside bios the first time, I found that both ram sticks WERE indeed recognized (though not running at the rated speed yet), the cpu was identified, as well as both of my M.2 drives Identified. I don’t know how pressing enter on the boot order in bios could’ve totally messed it all up, but here I am. -I never had an issue with lights, ram, fans, or AIO during every boot attempt to solve the problem after doing something (clearing cmos, etc.). They would light up, spin, and act as if functioning properly, but the motherboard light always static yellow (aside from the instances listed above, in which the lights were Static white or orange). If anybody could help me out, it would be very much appreciated. I’ve never used a forum before so I’m hoping somebody out there knows my solution. Thank you so much.

Hi! I bought upgrades for my computer, but the yellow light keeps flashing. It's stuck in POST at ram check. I've tried with 3 sets of ram, changed motherboard and tried with another psu. Of course, it could be the cpu, but it seems the check doesn't get as far as cpu check. Have you guys been through this?

I have build a pc with an Asus Prime a320m-k Motherboard and AMD Athlon 200GE CPU. According to the Asus website the CPU is only compatible from BIOS version 4400. When i turn the pc on the fans goes on and a yellow light at the PCI slot flashes (1 - 2 sec interval) and also on the motherboard near the Audio outputs at the back. There is no screen output when i connect to my monitor. I have one Kingston 4GB DDR4 ram 2400 mhz. I still need to check what BIOS version it is but was hoping i could turn on the pc and go to the BIOS setup, but i can't (blue screen) I also dont seem to find the Light indicators reasons for this motherboard. Hi all, I've just built my new PC and chosen the Asus x470 Gaming-F Motherboard + Ryzen 7 3700X, combined with Corsair Vengence RGB Pro RAM (4*8GB sticks DDR4 3200Mhz C16) and the compatibility is proving to be an absolute nightmare.I've spent a week troubleshooting the issue of the Computer not always posting, landing on the yellow DRAM LED when it decides not to post. Whether it does post or not is entirely unpredictable, which is weird.I have two reddit threads about it where my full explanation of what I have tried to do to fix it, without much luck, linked here:https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/commen...gf_yellow_led/https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport...o_and_corsair/In summary I've: Reseated the RAM and Power cables + other components on the Mobo besides reseating the CPU. Tried one stick of a RAM at a time (Problem persisted at least once on all four ram sticks Ran mem test 86 on 3 passes with 0 failures with the DOCP Profile enabled and the system decided to post. Tried the XMP readouts from CPU-Z and enter them manually 16 18 18 18 36 54 (The last one being tRc), with 3200Mhz selected + 1.35V. This proved the most problematic, 2 BSOD's + Many issues in HCIDesign Memtest. Tried the same as above but with 56 tRc (had seen this suggested on another thread). This proved the most stable with 3 full cold boots being successful (with PSU Being switched Off/On too, which has always made an impact at some point in all this troubleshooting), but after shutting the system down later on it took 4-5 attempts to get it running again else it would just sit on the Yellow DRAM light. Used Ryzen Master Calculator's safe settings, (I entered the XMP correctly as a HTML output from "Thaiphoon" software. These settings caused my computer to just boot loop until safe mode was activated. Finally, when DOCP is not enabled and the ram sits at 2133Mhz, it seems to be completely stable (as far as I can tell) Despite this, when the system posts WITH DOCP Enabled (Or manually entered the DOCP timings of the Ram, (16-18-18-18-36 + TrC set to Auto as DOCP profile doesn't set this even though it should be 54 according to Cpu-Z XMP Profile) will eventually post after cycling through power numerous times, and once it's in the OS, the Computer is completely stable with no BSODS or anything. For reference, I am on the latest BIOS Version available, 5406, with updated chipset drivers (Which I have reinstalled).Any advice on what to do would be greatly appreciated as I am completely out of ideas. Welp, turns out the xbox one power supply has a nasty habit of not showing when it is absolutely filled with dust. I eventually noticed the fan making a god awful noise and went to work cleaning it from the outside using pipe cleaners, but the fan was still making quite the racket. I took it apart and it looked like the fan's lubricant had been replaced with dust. Compressed air got some out but not enough and the fan still made noise so I started totally powering the console off and unplugging it when it wasn't in use (with always on mode enabled it still made a huge racket and it made me worry for the condition of the power supply). Now though my xbox one won't turn on and the light on the power supply stays yellow. If it helps, the fan started making awful grinding noises when it was fully powering down. Could this be because of the fan, or might it be that the xbox was unplugged during an update and now it's bricked?

So I just built my first PC a couple of days ago and everything was running fine with no issues. Three days later in the middle of me using it the display cut out and I got the Yellow Led on my motherboard indication an issue with my DRAM. However I know my Ram is compatible with my motherboard and It was working in the first place. I switched the slots of ram and pulled the power from the motherboard. Doing so my display cut back on, however it would only do so for a while before the motherboard gives me the yellow LED again. Please help me. What could be the issue.
