I bought my XFX RX580 2nd hand a few months ago and for a steal of a price. It turns out that what the seller had thought were faulty fans was just the GPU set to 0-RPM mode. so with AMD Adrenaline software I turned off 0-RPM mode and went about my day enjoying my new GPU Fast forward a couple of weeks and I realize that 0-RPM will self-enable itself, every time I turn on the PC. Its not too much of a chore for me to turn it off but it gets bothersome and sometimes my little siblings game crashes and they blame the fact i didnt get a brand new pre-built Im not sure if this 0-RPM bug is baked into a custom BIOS onto the GPU or what but any help fixing this issue will be much appreciated

System Specs: Case: Lian Li Lancool 216 (2x160mm front intake and 1x140mm rear exhaust) Motherboard: Asrock x670E Pro RS CPU: 7800x3d CPU cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE GPU: XFX Merc 310 RX7900XT Black PSU: Tough Power GF3 850W AMD driver version 23.11.1 This is my second GPU. I had to RMA the first one for the same overheating issue, the hotspot reaching 110C while playing games and used to sound like a hurricane. While idling the GPU temps are at 50C and the hotspot is at 67C with 100W I used Baldur’s Gate 3, Stress test built into AMD Adrenaline, MSI Kombuster, and Heaven to put the GPU underload. All of them provide the same consistent results below. Under load, the GPU heats up to 65C and the hotspot is pegged at 110C drawing 350W. The GPU clock speed reaches 2400MHz (sometimes spike up to 2500MHz, but only as a spike). My first card at least used to boost past 2600MHz very easily. In some cases, while playing other games, I have seen the GPU draw 290W and still hitting 110C while the clock speeds are below 2200MHz I used HWinfo and AMD Adrenaline to monitor the clock speeds and temperatures. Airflow issues:- I measured more than 4 inches between the PSU shroud and the GPU fans. The bottom front intake should also provide ample air to the GPU. And since the GPU temps reported (65C under load) see fine, I don't think the airflow is an issue Sagging:- I don't know if GPU sag can cause an issue, but I am using the GPU brace provided with my graphic card I don't want to just RMA this again. The shipping cost for the first RMS was about 100 USD and I am not willing to spend that much again. Did I just get unlucky twice? Apart from this what else should I be looking at? What can I do to mitigate this and get some proper experience?

Like in the title, is there a meaningful uplift between "standard" MERC 310 RX 7900 XT vs MERC 310 RX 7900 XT Black Edition? Also, while I'm at it. Is Ebuyer a trustworthy place to buy components in the UK? Their prices often seem a bit too good.

Hello! i'm thinking of buying a new graphics card, i've been looking at some reviews and some specific models, i'm more inclined towards graphics cards with an amd chip. A brand that came up a lot in my research was xfx, I would like you to help me get to know this brand better, in terms of performance, reliability and aesthetics, what do you guys think of the brand's graphics and if you have had any experience with the brand, could you share your experiences? Thank you guys!

I just have a question, recently i bought a Be Quiet Pure Power 12M 750W power supply and now I just bought a xfx rx 6800xt GPU. My question is will my power supply be enought for the GPU. Thanks in advance.

So I bought a Power Color Fighter 6700 XT a couple of weeks ago and haven't had the time to install it yet. In the meantime, I've been thinking of returning it and getting an XFX SWFT 6700 XT or maybe the Sapphire Pulse instead. The main reason being noise levels. I was hoping with the three fan longer model, it might be quieter. Does anyone have any experience with any of those models or have any other recommendation for $330 or less for that GPU? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to decide between two graphics cards: PowerColor HellHound RX 7900XT VS XFX Speedster Merc 310 RX 7900XT People say that the XFX has much better thermals, but that the PowerColor has much better software and is kind of the EVGA of Radeon. If I could, I would go for a Sapphire card, but they are unavailable in my region. Both are the same price. I'm also going to do overclocking in MSI Afterburner. Which of the both mentioned above should I pick?

Hello! My English is not so good. But will try to explain my best what kind of problem I have. I have bought a used graphics card on December 26th an XFX rx 6900 xt. Already in the first week I had this problem. When I start the computer and log in or when I start a game. Sometimes it comes after I've been playing for a few hours too. When that happens, the screen becomes completely white or gray depending on the screen you are using or using Display cabel or Hdmi. and I can't use the mouse, the keyboard or that I can hear anything and I don't get a code or numbers. Only way to remove it. To restart the computer on the pc case. Even if I restart the computer, I can get the same problem when I log in directly. Have also given the computer to a computer repair shop and they could not find the problem. I have also used DDU and it did not help. I'm really tired of this. Please can someone help me. Should I get the XFX Speedster QICK RX 6650XT or the Sapphire Pulse RX 6650XT? Which one will be better for longevity?

Does anyone know if the XFX RX 5700 DD ultra is a good card in terms of cooling? I know that the XFX 5700XT THICC didn't do well in terms of cooling. I'm planning to buy one used at my local store because they are selling it for around 145-150 USD.

I have to choose either one, but I can't decide. Any recommendations?

Hello. I have graphic card XFX RX 580 GTS XXX Edition 8GB. I want to open it and clean but I don't know which thickness for thermal pads I need. Some YouTube channels told that 1mm would be good. For chip I want to use MX-4 thermal paste, I think that's good enoguh, but for thermal pads I don't know. I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance. best regards, acmilan2

Good day to you all! I need some advise. I have one week ago ordered a Gigabyte RTX 3080 (rev. 3) for around 1435 USD. But I just found out that I can get a XFX 6900XT Merc 319 Black LTD for around 1750 USD. I know the prices are high but considering the taxes we have in my country it's a very good deal. But my question is what should I choose? I will first get the 3080 in around 8-10 weeks. The 6900xt I can get right away. And to be honest I have grown quite impatient of waiting to get a graphics card. Further what would be best for me? I'm gaming and editing videos. I'm not streaming. Based on this what would be the best choice of the above two mentioned graphics card considering price and availability? I hope you can help me a bit on the way in making my decision. Wish you all a good day! Brgds Christopher

So I have an XFX Radeon R7 260x that I think is dead, but it makes computers act strange. I've tried it with 3 motherboards now, none of which have integrated graphics. Without any graphics card, they give their beep code for no graphics card ,but when I put the graphics card in, they don't give any beep codes. The fans just run at full speed and they never POST. What could be causing them to do this and is the graphics card dead?

System Specs CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X Ram: 32 GB DDR4 (Same speed/same everything) MB: ASUS ROG Hero VIII WIFI PSU: 1300 WATTS OS: Windows 10 (Lastest build) Video Card: XFX RX 590 I have two games by two different companies that cause the same problem. I can play a game for 10 minutes or 2-3 hours, but it ends the same. The video feed dies, and the sound keeps playing. I press reset the computer doesn't recognize the video card (via beeps on the MB) so I need to do a hard reset to get it to work. Here is what I've done so far. The video card was RMAed to the XFX, repaired for free The ram was checked out, one of the new sticks was bad, repaired The motherboard was damaged, that was RMAed. The two games are on two seperate hard drives. Is it a bad setting in the BIOS, or the drivers for the video card and or monitor?

Hi everyone, been a long time since I posted anything here. First of all my PC specs: AtomicHood - Saved Part Lists - PCPartPicker This is my first PC build. I'm very satisfied with my choices but I still haven't got a new GPU. I have around 300 USD saved up and was planning to save more and buy a GPU around Christmas. Planning being the key word. I'm okay with the bottleneck and can wait before playing newer games but my GPU is straight up messing with me. First of all, this old XFX R7 250 1GB stopped getting driver support and I currently have the 21.5.2 driver version installed. Windows 10 is all up to date. Last week I noticed my PC restarted when idling. I panicked of course and when it booted up again I saw a message that Radeon Wattman settings have been restored due to system failure. I checked Event Viewer and the error is: Event ID - 41, Source - Kernel Power. At first I thought it was a one-off but it happened a few times more during the following days. Today I ran OCCT CPU, Memory, 3D, VRAM and POWER tests each for half an hour and no errors came up. Then another peculiar thing happened. When starting a game it crashed and AMD Report Wizard said a driver timeout has happened. I tried searching for why that is but couldn't find anything concrete. I also tried downclocking both the GPU Clock Speed and VRAM Clock Speed for 100 MHz but to no avail. I also downgraded the drivers but for some reason the games just black screen and don't even work. TLDR: My GPU is giving me problems with my new build. I know its old but I wanted it to last for a bit longer. Should I troubleshoot more or buy a new GPU? Also sidenote, in the OCCT POWER test my CPU temp was max. 75 °C and my GPU temp was max. 65 °C. The CPU seems fine to me, maybe a bit high I don't really know, but since the fan speed for my GPU read out like 750000 RPM I'm not sure how accurate the GPU results were. That is all, thank you.

Specs : CPU Ryzen 5 1600 AF GPU RX 580 XXX MOBO B450M Pro 4 RAM Teamgroup T-force 3200 Mhz Cl 16 PSU Thermaltake 700 Watt smart Hi there, I've had this system for about a year now and have recently had problems with it. I had a no display issue for 2 months or so, sent it to the manufacturer and got it back, that was solved. But now, whenever there is only 1 monitor/screen connected, I'll get an error message, " Driver timeout" This happens after I get weird patterns all over my screen, and it goes black. I've done clean reinstalls, and tried different versions of Radeon Drivers. I'm stuck in other ways I can solve this. Thanks in advance if you guys figure it out.

Hi, I just spent wildly on an XFX RX580 (€100) and the card seems OK, until I plug in the 8-pin connector. Then the system decides not to boot. When I only plugin the card it boots fine. The card lights up etc, but of course it doesn't do anything else because it doesn't have enough power. Now it could be the power supply, which is a lowish 450W unit from beQuiet. Could the power supply be the problem? Or is it the RX580? The beQuiet has driver en 980 ti which I unwisely sold for an upgrade that never came. But... yeah... 1st world problems here.

I'm finally upgrading myself from a RX570 to a 2070, but, I wanted to have a little fun as I had a spare XFX RX570 laying around. It's bricked though but I was wanting to try out some stuff with AMD Crossfire as my current main GPU is also a RX570 (Though it's a MSI, but exactly same specs.). I have the bios to flash to the card, but what would be the best method to flash it? I don't want to accidentally flash an incorrect bios to my good card. I have an r5 3600 on an msi x570 and an XFX RX 5700 running on the 20.11.2 driver. The only game I'm really playing atm is World of Warcraft, which is not very gpu intensive at all. But I just started having this issue last night where I was getting BSOD after playing WoW for only a couple of minutes. I did not have enough time to see the actual error code, and Event Viewer is very unhelpful, with Kernel 41 errors saying that the system shutdown unexpectedly (duh). I tried swapping RAM modules first because I had spray-painted my heatsinks and thought maybe I'd killed something, but that turned out not to be the issue (also ran mem checker and received no errors). Thinking maybe it was just a corrupt version of windows I "reset my pc" - keeping my files but basically started over. That didn't solve the problem either. WoW just stopped giving me a BSOD and just reboots my computer after a short freeze. (I turned off the auto reboot, and the system just completely freezes so it told me nothing). So basically, I play the game for roughly 5 minutes, CPU and GPU temps are steady and low, CPU is around and GPU 50-60, and then the computer crashes and reboots. My character is just sitting there waiting for the crash, because it's pretty consistent. I ran Furmark for a good 10 minutes at least - it crashed at first because the memory temp was getting up to 92 and the fans weren't working hard enough according to GPU-Z. Reinstalled MSI Afterburner and was able to run Furmark for a while... and when I was satisfied that it was fine, I shut it down, and then the computer crashed. I decided to swap my card with my BF's, which was my old Sapphire RX 580, and have no issues so far!! Am able to run WoW just fine so far (crossing fingers), and as the icing on the cake, he's running my 5700 without issue. I'm SO CONFUSED. His system is an Intel i3 coffeelake i think, with a z370 gaming 5 mobo. I had him update to the 20.11.2 driver and is still fine. i just don't know what could suddenly cause instability on MY system but not his, even after running a fresh copy of windows and have barely anything installed on it right now. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears! I would really like my 5700 back, especially since graphics cards are impossible to come by right now.

Made an account just for this. Any kind of help will be appreciated. Back when Haswell was released, we got a new PC with no GPU. Later on we got a Sapphire R9 280 3GB DUAL-X to game on it. Weeeeell it's still in use now and I actually got my hands on a "mined to death" XFX RX 580 GTS 8GB to try and revive. I know how a dead card behaves, so I wanted to try installing it in my PC to see what to do later. There's an LED above the 8-pin connector which glows red when no 8-pin power is inserted, and blue when everything is working as expected (found that out in the manual). Whenever I plug in the 8-pin into the 580 and turn the PC on, the LED on the 580 blinks red for a split second, making the same sound a power cycle makes, and then nothing happens. No post screen, no fans running in the PC, no peripherals running. As if the PC had no power. My suspicion is on the PSU, which I will explain how after I state my specs: CPU: i5-4460, Motherboard: GIGABYTE B85M-DS3H, RAM: 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz, Storage: 1x Seagate Barracuda 1TB, 1x Seagate Barracuda 320GB, PSU: An included Cooler Master RS-500-PCAR-I3 Now the power supply only has 1x 6-pin connector on the 12V rail, and the other 12V has three Molex daisy-chained. I run the R9 280 by plugging in the 1x 6-pin and using a molex to 6-pin for the other 6-pin. It works fine. For the 580, I had to get a 2x 6-pin to 8-pin which in theory should work. And afaik, the 580 has a lower TDP than the 280. I don't understand why that could be an issue. Also both 12V rails have 20A support so that should be fine too. Weird problem, so any kind of help is fine. Sorry for the long post and no formatting.

I was able to get my hands on a XFX MERC319 Radeon RX 6800 and the card length is advertised at 340mm. I'm trying to find a Mini-ITX case that supports such a massive card. The CoolerMaster Masterbox 200p says it supports cards up to 330mm and I'm wondering if I would be able to squeeze it in. If anyone had exact measurements that would be fantastic! Thank you!
