Hi there, I'm trying to run World of Warcraft at very standard graphics settings (see screenshots) and have been getting freezing and frame drops that are making it nearly unplayable. I've got a single stream of video open in Chrome that I'm watching on my other monitor while playing from Paramount Plus. I've put a few minutes of Afterburner on here as well just to show. Am I just simply trying to do too much for what my computer can handle? Happy to answer any questions about it. My computer is an "Aurora R11 Desktop - Intel Core i7 10700F - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER - 1TB HDD + 512GB SSD" Thank you!

Hi, I'm currently having trouble setting up a wake on WAN (WOL over Internet) with IPv6: I configured a DHCP, opened the right port with the firewall configuration of my rooter and my device starts as expected when it receives the magic packet from the "WolOn" app but only on LAN. I expected it to work on WAN but the WolOn app states an error occured without explaining anything. What can I do to make it works ? Is IPv6 allowing Wake on Wan ?

Budget (including currency): ~$2,000 USD Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I am a 3D developer working in real-time and 3D software like Unity, UE4, Maya, Houdini, After Effects, Nuke etc. and a lot of my work involves VR development (currently prefer Oculus Rift & Quest). Most of my work is real-time with some occasional rendering tasks. I also occasionally play some VR games, indie titles, and online games like WoW. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): - Extremely peripheral heavy for work. Ok so the game I play most these days is WoW (Legion). I have a brand new GTX 1060 3GB from Palit with dual fans which I overclocked for the sake of max-ing it out. As I was testing the performance I noticed I'm not getting very good FPS (39) even without any component of my PC being used 100%. So there seems to be a bottleneck that I can't locate. I think the screenshot I'm posting says everything. My CPU loads sits at around 50% and my GPU load even lower than that. Then GPU's memory is only at 70% and as you can see, it definitely isn't a GPU power consumption or heat throttle problem. I'm running the latest Nvidia drivers and I'm not infected with any malware that I'm aware of. Also the vsync is off and it gets confirmed everytime I get to smaller space in the game (where there is no distance graphics involved) and the fps are through the roof. Lastly, I'm clarifying that the pic is taken as one due to dual monitors, so the values you are seeing are simultaneous at the game's maximum settings (FPS are shown at lower right corner via Nvidia Experience). Here are my PC specs:Motherboard: H110M PRO-VDCPU: Intel i3-6100 @ 3.7GhzRam: Single 8GB DDR4 stick @ 2133MhzPSU: NOD 550 WattsStorage: Radeon R3 SSD 240GB + WD Caviar 1TB @ 7200 rpmMonitors: Dual LG 24" LED Monitors 1080p @ 60HzOS: Windows 10 x64Final thoughts are that the only component I'm not monitoring through this test is my PSU, but I don't think this would be my PC's behavior, if the problem was the PSU. I imagine the system would just shut down if it didn't have enough power. So I really need your help with this one.

I couldn't find alot of information on if I need a PCIE SSD drive, or use SATA SSD drives, or perhaps even my controller on the this is my motherboard could even handle my desire for maximum performance? http://ca.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=6027#ov My goal is to never ever see the windows wheel of indecision spinning on my workstation. I've got an i7-6900K processor, 32GB of ram @ 2133Mhz, Samsumg 950 Pro, and a 1070 gigabyte extreme edition on a GA-X99-Ultra Gaming motherboard running windows 10. For some reason it just never seems fast enough, I'd like to find the optimal fastest setup regardless of budget, time, or other factors. I've seen lots of recommendations for Raid 0+1 but would it really be much faster than my setup? I have a Samsung 950 pro SSD 256GB M.2 drive but it never seems truly fast enough. I would like to build the fastest responsive computer ever...attached is a performance measure from the drive. Is raid 0 my next option, and with raid 0 what is the maximum performance x how many possible drives?

Did LTT really get acquired by Nvidia as stated in the video release today? Don't really keep up with a lot of LTT news.

So, In the most recent raid in wow on ultra settings I am getting around 30 fps in high intensity fights. However, neither my CPU nor my GPU are maxing out. My 4790 is at about 50 and my 1080 is only at 35. What's going on? V-Sync is OFF.

So recently about a month ago, i built my custom rig. Nothing to wow someone who's got their nose deep into EVGA's newest launch, Its modest, and suits my needs perfectly. After i ordered my first part (which was the case) my little brother who is 14 became hyped and started building his own pc. After checking over his pcpartpicker list before he ordered which was incoherent with compatibilities i set him up with a modest AMD based budget rig. So after $800 of my money into his computer and god only knows why i went over $1000 on mine. Fast forward His rigs built, with my blood sweat and tears. Fast forward Seeing that his computer is always on when hes not home. His room is noticeably warmer than every other room, so i investigated. Need i mind you this computer was on for a solid 3 days before i found it. 4 Games running in the background, 2 games that were torrents, 3 Malware detections, and a cpu that is brand new that was idling at 60 C... because of all of this which i had informed him to take care of the damn thing. So needless to say, i have another computer that is having a fresh install of windows as i type this. After a destroyed laptop because he had to have CoD WaW which was a torrent with a cracked screen. His last straw is now my newest addition to my pc collection. In contrast, i take care of my pc like its the last one in existence. In summary who treats their computers, phones, tablets, tv's or any other electronic like this? Lets talk about it!

Is there one? I play on Stormrage typically in the AM, though at nights on weekends. Looking for some like minded fellows to have some fun with. I was unable to find a recent thread discussing this. So i apologize if this is a repost.

Hey all, I've Found this Channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCC4aKfogke2QVvDZFKnLm8g/videos He's playing with an Intel Pentium G4400 , GTX 750TI, and 8GB RAM. His G4400 is not Overclocked. He's playing New games on nearly a solid 50-60 FPS! Planning on building something similar for a brother. Thank you!

Hi guys! I've recently built my first server and put freenas on it. In the near future I will probably go with ESXi and virtualise freenas on it but for now i've only got freenas. I'd like to run my own WoW server on it so I can play around with it and maybe play with some friends. Do you guys know if I can make it run in a freenas jail? Thanks!

Blizzard has officially announced at Blizzcon 2017 that they will be adding a classic (Vanilla) World of Warcraft server. It seems Blizzard has been listening to its fan base and is going to be adding classic wow server. Then have not given any timeline as to when they will be available but only that they will be adding servers. This is good news for people that miss the old vanilla wow, however it is yet to be seen to what extent they will stick to the original gameplay. I think this will be fairly successful but we wont see extremely huge numbers as most that played vanilla wow have moved on to other games. https://youtu.be/TcZyiYOzsSw http://www.pcgamer.com/this-is-how-blizzard-plans-to-finally-bring-back-vanilla-wow-servers/ http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-11-03-blizzard-is-officially-doing-classic-vanilla-legacy-world-of-warcraft-servers

I have a male to male fitting stuck and overtightened on a 240mm radiator. Haven't tried wd40 but it hasn't worked in the past on other overtightened and stuck wc components of mine. My last resort is that I am going to buy an angle grinder from harbor freight and cut in half part of the top and hopefully it will be easier to take the fitting off so I can dispose of it and reuse my radiator.

This is a bit random, but here we go.. In a bizarre twist of events, World of Warcraft gold is now worth more than the real-world currency of Venezuela, the Bolivar. Source: https://gamerant.com/world-of-warcraft-gold-venezuelan-currency-value/

Hi, I'm based in Australia and looking for people to play some games with. I play mainly Counter-strike: Global Offensive 1600hrs (DMG). Alot of Grand Theft Auto V Online (600 hours, Rank 134), Just a little bit at the moment: Dota (500 Hours) Player Unknown Battlegrounds (played like 11 games so far) Also keen to revisit borderlands 2 and the Pre-sequel. Paladins - I'm liking this more than Overwatch I have Magicka 1 and 2 on steam, been wanting to play these for a while.. Some Wow (5 level 110s, 19 100s, just levelling atm). Killing Floor 2 (got all my perk classes on 25) Saints Row 4 - I've beaten this a while ago, but I want to try the co-op, I have the original version, not the censored Australia version though. and a little bit of Overwatch Just let me if u want my steam. I'll be happy to play any of these games when i'm not at work.

So, I follow many of LTT videos and love both the insane state-of-the-art-over-the-top-builds and the completely budget ones. The different test also give me so indication of what middle-range PC’s can do, however, despite watching the videos I’m a bit scared of throwing myself into a build. Both because I don’t want to completely overdo the PC but at the same time have difficulty finding out what I need. As the title suggest I mostly play WoW and LoL as a casual gamer to relax in my spare time. I know they are not the most demanding games by any means. I want to play them on high/very high/ultra or whatever the highest settings are to get the best experience of the games. And this is my problem. What kind of system do I need to fit this without going over the top? I currently play the games on my work laptop (Lenovo Ultrabook X1 Carbon) with the following specs: - Intel core i5-6300 CPU @ 2.4 GHz - 8 Gb ram Intel HD graphics 520 1. Budget & Location My budget is 5000 DKK (app. 800 USD) which should cover everything including the case and monitor. Location is Denmark. 2. Aim Play WoW and LoL at maximum settings. 3. Monitors A good one for WoW and LoL ? 4. Peripherals I have mouse and keyboard, but need a monitor and a Windows license. 5. Why are you upgrading? Not upgrading, building new from scratch to substitute my laptop. Any help is very much appreciated!
