Hello everyone, I'm trying to reinstall the world of tanks by wargaming after a clean install of windows. I've Malwarebytes installed and it's on a two week premium trial. When I start downloading the game using Wargaming game centre (which is required to download the game) Malwarebytes notifies me about a potential threat. This happens in semi regular intervals, like one every 15 to 20 minutes. They are about an outbound connection to a web server and Malwarebytes tells me they are trojans. The IP address of the server changes every time, so far I got 178.175.85.255 , 118.41.50.204 , 202.164.139.225 , 178.175.124.234 , 211.221.56.241 , 178.175.95.82. 117.247.202.254 , 119.96.69.154 and 73.138.6.36 . I've already run most of them through VirusTotal and almost all of them were flagged as malicious but only by a couple of antivirus softwares. Before you ask, Yes I ran a full scan of the computer too, and it came out clean. So I'm not sure if these are false positives or not and I'd really appreciate any help you guys could give to understand this. Thank you!

Hello folks, Hopefully I am in the right section as this issue appeared after my GPU upgrade from a RTX 2080Ti to RTX 3090. I am encountering an issue with one my most played games (World of Tanks), the client is crashing into a black screen at random times (sound and other programs still run in the background - can use TeamSpeak for example). This issue only happens in World of Tanks and is reproductible while in battle, does not happen while in idle or just browsing around in the garage interface. No other game I have tried so far gave me any crash - DX11 or 12. *Did notice a weird thing that went away after the last driver update (v.461.09), the in-game gamma settings were greyed out - so I thought I’d mention this anyways. I am at a loss here as I have run out of ideas and I can’t seem to figure out if this is an issue with hardware or is it somehow tied to the way the game works. The crashes began mid-November and since then I have contacted the player and technical support teams @Wargaming – the company behind World of Tanks creating multiple tickets that lead nowhere so far. My rig config – pc part picker link here. Age of the computer (hardware) ranging from new – GPU to 1 and a half years old for most of the system hardware. OS wise the system was installed around 08/19. Here is a list of things I tried after reading around on the internet on various forums and asking all my tech-savvy friends for help: § Updated/Rolled back the GPU drivers using DDU in Safe mode – Not connected to the internet / Windows Drivers Updates off > tried the versions (Studio and Game Ready): 442.74*did not recognize my GPU as expected* - 456.38 - 457.30 - 460.97 (beta) and the latest drivers as well - now running Game Ready 461.09. § Made sure my temps are low and there is no overheating - at an ambient temp of roughly 23-4 C degrees - I get to a maximum 71C on GPU and 68/70 CPU side during stress test or even lower temps when just under intense gaming (CoD – Cold War / Metro Exodus for example) - and high 50 C CPU / low 60C on the GPU. § Cleaned the registry using CCleaner. § Modified the page file system to a higher value and reverted to windows default (32 GB of physical RAM memory should be more than enough- but hey I gave it a shot anyway) § Updated the latest chipset drivers from AMD site. § Updated the GPU firmware and latest Aorus software. § Updated to the latest BIOS (now running F31j) § Disabled the XMP Profile in BIOS / and using all stock settings in BIOS. § Updated to the latest Creative Sound Blaster sound card drivers § Used the windows default recommended sound settings (suggested by the Wargaming Support team) § Rebooted my router & network devices for a few minutes (suggested by the Wargaming Support team) § In Nvidia Control Panel set the game to use Maximum Performance mode as some user recommended in a similar issue with Apex Legends. § Disabled G-Sync + gave it a go with V Sync on and off (Using a G-Sync monitor @ 1440p 165hz) § Downclocked my GPU using the Aorus tool to the reference RTX 3090 specs. § Enabled and tested Low Latency mode § Updated to the latest chipset from the AMD site. § Tried running the game with no Antialiasing / Off in NVCP as well. § Launched the game in Windowed - Windowed borderless - Fullscreen § Lowered the resolution from 1440p to 1080p and 720p § Tried to run the game with the lowest graphical settings in all the above resolutions § Since the game client has the option – tried both x32/x64 clients § Tried Compatibility mode Windows 7 & 8 § Launched the game in safe mode § Used both HD and SD client (lower end machines version) § Ran the game integrity check (suggested by the Wargaming Support team) § Added the game as a firewall exception (suggested by the Wargaming Support team) § Removed the Appdata WoT folder that contains all the game settings (suggested by the Wargaming Support team) § Reinstalled the game multiple times § Made sure the DirectX Suite is up to date § Uninstalled Easy Tune Engine Service/ Team Viewer (as suggested by the Wargaming Support team) § Disabled & Uninstalled iCue / Aorus Software / RGB Fusion 2 (suggested by the Wargaming Support team) § Clean booted - Windows Default Only § Deleted the cache Nvidia Shader Cache § Disabled onboard sound in Device Manager § Used a TDR Manipulator and disabled / reenabled it. § Updated my Windows 10 to the latest build 20H2 § Rather recently replaced my PSU unit (end of 2019) § Ran a 3D Mark benchmark (Firestrike Demo) while logging with Hwinfo64 * Sensors Only – Log here (3D Mark Results + Hwinfo64 Log) (advised by the user Greybear on Nvidia Forums) After the latest tests (here) advised by the user Greybear in my post on the Nvidia Forums the readings in the log file he points out there is an anomaly, you can see it in the Images in the 12v LOW column "" 0 "" . Open the Google Drive Link above access the .csv file and scroll across to column LV - MD - see all the 0 entries.... notice that the 12 readings appear in the wrong column on some of the 0 reading in the LV column. He recommended that I set the RAIL performance to SINGLE RAIL on my PSU. My knowledge on PSU’s is quite limited - Any thoughts on that? *I will redo the benchmarks and log the info as soon as I get home from work. * After digging for any leads in my crash logs, I found the following information into the game’s crash log and Windows Event logger: @Python Log here World of Tanks client: INFO: [Info] FATAL ERROR: RenderSystemDeviceAccess::genericInterfaceCallFailureHandler - device in unsupported state: The device has been removed.” This seems to be synchronized time stamp wise - with the report from the Windows Event logger that points to the nvlddmkm file stopping to work: " Event id - 1062600691 in Source "nvlddmkm" cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display the message, or you may not have permission to access them. The following information is part of the event: \Device\Video3 Graphics Exception on (GPC6, PPC 0)" I have tried capturing a screenshot right after the black screen crash to see if it pops any information put the screenshots are black. I am aware that this is a long post, but I am still having hope that there is a way to find a fix for this. Thank you very much for your time and patience. Any help is highly appreciated.

Setup is Corsair hx1200 roughly 3 years old Evga 3090 kingpin hybrid kit installed early 2021 Intel 11900k on Corsair 3fan aio 64gb trident Z 3600 mhz Rog maximus hero 7 or 8 I don’t remember So basically I was ripping world of tanks for like 9 hours, I have a dual monitor setup and both monitors went no signal on me so I’m like wtf. Can’t get them to get it back so I try to restart the whole computer, when it turns back on I head a loud pop. Pop has not reoccured but now there’s a plasticity burning smell and lots of coil whine from the gpu. Unplugged gpu and removed it from mobo aside from the pump in the gpu which remained plugged into the mobo, and turned on the computer and it made no noise from psu, cpu pump or gpu pump. Plugged it all back in and noise came back with smell. I’m stumped any ideas? FullSizeRender.MOV

Hey there, I'm wondering what I should upgrade to play games on max graphics at 1080p. The games I play are Vanilla World of Warcraft (low demanding), World of Tanks and Overwatch. I can already run World of Tanks at medium on the non-HD client and can play WoW comfortably at max. My rig consists of an Asus gtx 650 ti boost graphics card, an AMD FX-8320 CPU, 8 GB of DDR3-1333 RAM, a Samsung 850 pro SSD, an Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard, and a 650W psu, I have a corsair RM750x psu and a 1200W as well. I want to know if there are any easy upgrades I can make to play World of Tanks and Overwatch at max graphics, 1080p and know if I'll have any bottlenecks from any parts of my current build. I was thinking of buying an AMD RX 480, because of the great price in canada right now, and gpu to keep this build AMD, but am open to any suggestions. Thanks, I'll be happy to hear input on this.

I have the Gigabyte GTX 1060 Windforce OC 6GB, and I recently began tuning its overclock. I've pushed it to 2100 MHz on the core, although due to temperature it usually settles around 2088 MHz. The memory is what I'm having problems though. I've managed to get the offset to +450, giving an effective 8.9 Gbps memory data rate, but everyone else online seems to be getting at least 9 Gbps, sometimes even 9.4. Everytime I try to get it higher, its stable in Unigine Superposition, but not in World of Tanks. It either crashes when trying to enter a battle, or freezes up in the set-up interface (the garage for those of you who play) I have my voltage offset to +75%, would increasing this help? Any help would be appreciated. I realize it might be a little anal, as this is a great OC already, but the memory is just bothering me. I hear that on the 1060 memory OC's make a significant difference. Thanks for any help. I'm using MSI Afterburner V 6.5.0, and I'm using the latest Game Ready driver 381.65.

F2P System (Wargaming, Lol) and little Steam.
ZlDarkAngel6 posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hello, I would like to request assistance in order to select the proper components to upgrade my current system. My main target is to make the Best use of my Motherboard since I don`t plan in building a new system and will be using it only to play some F2P games, so, let's get started. 1. Budget & Location As for my location, Mexico; and for my Budget roughly the equivalent to 100 - 150 USD. I will explain more thoroughly in Point 5 why I have such a (maybe) low budget. 2. Aim This system is mainly intended for Gaming, and the kind of games I want to play are specifically World of Warships, World of Tanks and League of legends. Other than that it will have to do light multitasking, that is, having Web browsing tabs/Game/Other light programs. 3. Monitors Dual monitor Set Up. Currently I use my system on a proper 1024x768 PC Monitor and a 1360x768 TV. I don`t mind all that thing about latency/input lag in TV's for PC Gaming and having a proper 1080p monitor, nor I plan on buying one for this system. 4. Peripherals None of that, I'm Ok with my standard Keyboard and mouse, and I run Windows 10 32 Bit. 5. Why are you upgrading? I want to get the very best of this Motherboard since I don´t plan on building my ideal system just yet. I like to think of it as a Scrapyard wars Project, where I have this given PC and I want it to perform the best. Currently I can run League of Legends and World of Tanks roughly at 30 fps in medium/low settings, with no shadows and after processing effects, but for World of Warships it runs barely at 10-15 fps, I have to close everything else in order to play some matches before it inevitably crashes due to a lack of RAM in my system. So, the objective of the components upgrade is to run this games at the very best my Motherboard can offer. I don't really know how far I can go with it, but I would like it to properly run a dual monitor set up for light multitasking, like having my WoWs client open while watching a 1080p YouTube video without having the whole system to slow down. The reason for the Budget is because I can get the 8 Gb max of RAM my Motherboard supports and the CPU for a cheaper Price if I go used, which I`m totally ok with, and spent most of the Budget on upgrading the GPU and maybe the PSU if needed, otherwise I can upgrade only the GPU and RAM, If my current CPU is ok. That`s where I need help, in knowing which of my components are ok and how to get the best of everything (Definitely add more RAM). Finally, I will list the details of my current system (Data obtained via CPU-Z): Motherboard: MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 (MS-7309). Chipset and southbridge: NVIDIA MCP61. LPCIO: Fintek F71889F. Socket: AM3 (938). PCI-Express Max Supported and Link Width: x16. CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250. Core Speed: 3.0 GHz. Cores: Dual. RAM: 3 Gigabytes (2 and 1 Sticks). Type: DDR2. Channels: Dual. PSU: R500 (Edge Systems) Non Modular 500 W. GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS. Clocks Core: 459 MHz. Shaders: 928 MHz. Memory: 266 MHz. Memory Size: 512 Mb. Type DDR2. Bus Width: 64 bits. I was thinking on uploading the report generated by CPU Z or Screenshots, and links to the components page, but I`m not sure if that goes by the rules of the forum. If everything goes well, the motherboard remains the same, CPU may remain if it's ok, 8 Gb of RAM, and GPU/PSU Upgraded if needed. Thank you for taking some of your time helping me and if I missed anything I'll be right here, thanks again.- 19 replies

I am looking to build a rig that will play Rift, War Thunder, World of Tanks, and Eve Online on max settings. Also most steam games like Prison Architect, Reassembly, Factorio, and others of that nature. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4kPRwV Also note that I chose the motherboard I did so that in the future I could move to an i5 6600k of i7 and OC if needed. I believe I have choosen pretty good parts. I am not worried about cheap as much as I am future expansion and longevity as I tend to keep computers for 5-8 years before replacing them.

I play world of tanks regularly and i just bought a brand new Monitor that can go up to 144 Hz. I found out that i can set the resolution to Dynamic Super Resolution at 3840x2160 (4.00x). As soon as i switch to that Resolution, the game loads in for five seconds and then closes. I will change it back to the Native settings but the game still crashes at the same point and I have to uninstall the launcher and game and then reinstall it to fix it. If someone could help me figure this out then that would be awesome. And I can play other games at that Resolution (Doom)

If you are a World of Tanks player, you will probably know that the new graphics engine is coming in March of 2018. There is a program that is basically a benchmarking program put out by Wargaming called Encore. Have any of you tested the new graphics on your PC yet and if so, how did your computer perform? There is a number displayed at the end of the test but I have no idea the scale or how the number was calculated.

simple analysis of World of Tanks API switch from DX9 to DX11
zMeul posted a topic in Graphics Cards
about a week ago, popular multiplayer team based tank shooter, WoT, got an engine upgrade that switched from a DX9 render path to DX11 I took a quick look of the performance changes gained (or lost) from this engine upgrade system specs: Intel Q9550 2.83Ghz 8GB DDR2 GTX970 G1 from GigaByte W7 x64 GeForce 365.19 drivers game settings: resolution - 1080p maximum detail preset 3D render resolution - 100% dynamic settings - off AA - off tests were conducted in the battle training tutorial - yes, I know that might not representative of actual live gameplay, but having a similar run after game patch is not possible CPU usage with DX9: CPU usage with DX11: while there is a lower usage of core 0 and 1 in DX11, the overall CPU usage across all cores is negligible: let's move the the graphics performance starting with GPU% utilization: on average, WoT's DX11 API implementation shows aprox 20% increase in GPU usage over DX9 and the most important part, framerate: DX11 render gains roughly 34 FPS average over DX9 and ~40FPS gain in minimum FPS: the solid gains in minimum FPS that DX11 render offers are quite substantial and welcomed; it makes for a much smoother play experience- 8 replies

Looking for advice. I play a game that pulls mostly CPU proformance a very basic graphics card is required. However the game is only optimised for one core, it leaves the other cores mostly untouched. So I'm looking for a cpu with a really high clock speed. Which cpu would be most suitable for this. Don't really mind if it's Intel or amd.

Hi all i've found my self in a difficult position with having to change my monitor. I am currently using a 4k 42inch LG tv with an IPS and 4.4.4 chroma rating. my panel is 60Hz and all the HDMI 2.0 ports are rated at 10bit. when using my GTX980's in sli i get a continues green flashing lines going down the screen. I have swapped out my GPU's and still no fix so i believe it to be the panel its self. now I wish to change my monitor for one of the following two Asus PG278Q or Acer Predator XB280 now there both Gsync panels but the Predator is 4k which is mainly the resolution I wish to use. I mainly play World of tanks competitively and with my current 4k display I am getting between 60 to 45fps @ 4k. Now I feel im going to be kicking my self with what ever one I choose out of these two wonderful monitor's the drawing points for the Asus is its good looks better than 1080p display and the high refresh rate. the drawing points for the Acer is its 4k res and its the worlds first Gsync 4k monitor now the question id like to no is would I still benefit from Gsync playing world of tanks @ 4k on such a low Fps avarage of 40fps or would I benefit more by losing the extra image quality from 4K and dropping down to 1440p with the swift.

Hi guys, two months ago my power supply crapped out and took my gpu out along with it, having fried a number of capacitors on it. It has taken until now to get both parts RMA'd. Once reassembled I tried to run a few games, namely The witcher (original one) and world of tanks. The problem that I am having, especially with world of tanks, is that as soon as I try to run the game at 1440p both of my screens go black, the graphics card ramps up to max speed despite having been idle seconds ago and then the computer completely locks up, requiring to be powered off before being able to restart it. Nothing else has changed hardware wise. This problem also happens when gaming at 1080p although it takes a little longer for the lock up to happen, around a minute or so. I have tried reinstalling the game, graphics driver and this morning tried a fresh install of windows to try and resolve this issue but the problem remains. Is it possible that the motherboard or cpu were borked aswell? {edit} The 780 has a theoretical max draw of 300W and the 4670k is running at stocks speeds, i have found figures for its power draw when running cinebench which should be much more demanding than world of tanks saying that the cpu draws 79W. Even allowing for HDD activity and fans this is still well below the 500W rating of the power supply even under absolute max power draw. {edit} Here is a video of the crash. Specs: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit MSI Z87I gaming AC (BIOS: V1.0) i5 4670k 8GB ram Nvidia GTX780 Boot Drive: 256GB 840 EVO SSD Storage Drive: 1TB WD Blue {edit} PSU: 500W EVGA Hadron Air included power supply ADAM-PC.txt Cheers for taking a look, let me know if more info is needed. I have a attached a speccy .txt with full system specs.

I received a code for World of Tanks that gives some goodies for anyone making a new account (or for someone making an alt) the person who posts the best picture of a cat will get the code. The code gives 350 Gold, 7 Days of Premium time, a Pz.Kpfw. S35 739 (F) Premium Tank(http://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Tank:S35_captured) and a free garage slot. Hi there, I'm looking for people to play in platoon mode with since I'm rather sick of the random battles being mostly garbage because of no strategic play. So if anyone wants to join for a friendly co-op action voice-chat or not whatever suits your fancies. I have a feeling most WoT players can get rather agitated and hateful sometimes, not me though B) Just thought I'd put it out there user name's: NaughtyBoy most used vehicles are: St.Pz.II Hetzer StuG III in that order, personal rating 3,891 whatever that means and for what it's worth I'm not a premium player. feel free to add me, bye!

Is it just me or is War gaming's game engine really that bad? A gtx 770 can go from 28-60 fps... WTH That is a big difference between min and max... It must be their game engine and I don't think its worth it to play their game after building a really expensive rig... Hopefully they implement the Havoc engine in so we can make use of multi core processors instead of single cores pshhh..
