So i purchased an Asus Strix DLX 7.1 Soundcard as my Asus X99 E WS was having compatibilty issues with my Soundblaster ZXR, and i couldnt have regret my decision more. The problem with my ZXR was that most of the time it wouldnt detect in device manager upon boot, and after a month of testing and research learned that this was likely due to Asus intentionally causing some conflict between other manufacturers components to encourage people to buy their own soundcards. So anyway i purchased an Asus Strix DLX 7.1 thinking it would pair well with my Asus X99EWS. How wrong was I. Upon installing it I realised I couldnt find any Suite software. The only thing I could see installed is this software called sonic radar II. However upon loading it the entire UI is blacked out and bugged? I then did some searching online to find the software download page only to discover that Asus dont host the drivers online and the only way to install them is to plug in a soundcard. Then i found out that only ASUS ROG mobos are compatible with the soundcard, meaning my X99EWS wont work with it. So all in all im a little pissed at Asus for selling this misleading product, but also screwing people over by limiting them to buying products from themselves with the hope that they will maybe be compatible.

So recently I had bought a new Samsung GalaxyA20, everything was working fine on it until one day my bluetooth and wifi suddenly stopped working, I’ve tried a soft reset, factory reset and a hard reset to no avail. Can anyone help? I can’t find anything online related to this.

I have just bought 2x8 Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2666MHZ Ram sticks but for some reason they wont work together, Whenever i put them both in the ram slots i cant get into BIOS at all, but when i only put one in it works. EDIT: My motherboard is a ASUS PRIME Z370-A Appreciate all the help i could get.

So, I recently upgraded from an Intel based system, an i5 4670 with a z97 asus Maximus 7 Ranger, to a Ryzen 2700x on an asus x470 Crosshair 7 Hero. I had a RAID 0 array set up on my intel system,with Windows 10 on it, and it worked fine. Before upgrading, i cloned that array to a 1TB HDD, just for safety in case something did not work. After upgrading, I noticed that I will not be able to boot into Windows if i changed the SATA mode from AHCI to RAID. I have tried wiping and rebuilding the array, and after that, I have difficulties booting into Windows even if the SATA mode is on AHCI. Any ideas?

Hi! I follow LinusTechTips since a while on youtube and here I am subscribing and posting my very first message on the forum. I am building my new rig, right now. My motherboard is a MSI 970 gaming with an AMD FX 4300 processor cooled by the Noctua NH-D15. I did plug everything and I think I did it rightfully. But when I first turned on the system, the following alert appeared : "USB DEVICE OVER CURRENT STATUS DETECTED SYSTEME WILL SHUT DOWN IN 15 SECONDES". I tried everything, mounting the rig inside and outside the case, plug in and unplug the USB keyboard and mouse, I looked for everything wrong but couldn't figure it out. Now I just want to know if this is a common problem on MSI motherboards, on the particular 970 gaming, on motherboards in general, if someone of you had it on this model or a similar one... I will try to return it next week, but if it is something I can fix myself, I would rather do that instead of waiting for the retailer's support to check it for me. Thanks in advance guys and sorry for the poor english, i'm (obviously) not a native english speaker.

Well, I'm posting for someone else. He says that his browsers doesn't work. He uses IE and Firefox. IE is so slow, it would take a hour to open a page, and Firefox won't even open, it isn't a internet issue, because he can play WOW on his PC. Any suggestions?

Ok. It all started when I left the PS2(planetside 2) launcher on for awhile while I wasn't using my computer. When I got back, I tried to launch the game, it got to 12% and closed outl. I try again, it stays at 6% for awhile, so I close it out. Here is were things get bad. I restart my pc, so when it turns on, my mouse won't show up(Yes I tested another mouse). The DPI button won't work, kinda like the pc was off and the mouse was plugged in, but if you replugg the mouse, the DPI button will work, but there is still no cursor. Also, the keyboard will work, but if you unplug it while its on, you have to restart it for it to work again.. So I try to update it, it can't find updates. So that process repeats for awhile. Here is were it gets serious. I go into the ASRock "Restart to UEFI" Then I apply, and make it restart autmoatically, so it takes forever to restart, as always. So I just turn it off with the button. I turn it back on.... And it frezes at the ASRock Fatal1ty screen. It will do that every time I restart now. I'm as of now stuck in a hole right now, tried uplugging it, restarting, everything. Won't work.

So long ago I had a Asus k53e. It broke on the AC adapter. I tried fixing it, but it broke.. never solder yourself Now I'ma refurbish my laptop for a friend with a really slow one. I got a new Asus k53sv motherboard, so he can actually play games. I also got a cooler for the k53sv so it can keep that 2nd gen i5 mobile CPU and the gt540m graphics cool. I tried powering the k53e board.. even tho it had solder on it. Idk if it fried t he CPU.. I wouldn't think so tho. I put in 4GB of ram from a Inspiron notebook that I have. This ram is temporary, my friend will just put 8gb in it. Its using all K53e components except some screws(which as of this moment I'm only using k53e screws, but then I'll start throwing on screws from another laptop). The only k53sv components is the mobo, and the cooler. To the point.. Idk if this has to do with it, my battery to it is lost.. so I own't turn my house upside down until I find out it either works, or this has to do with it. When I plug in the laptop(without a battery, using the power supply from the k53e, and the cmos too) It tries running. But I don't hear the HDD or Opitical drive, when I see the fan, it is trying to start, but it doesn't, eventually it will try harder to start, and get a bit more consisan't... but it only stays trying.. and nothing shows on the display... Does anyone know how to make it work? I do know I didn't remove the thermal paste, the mobo feels hot when I open the case back up, just a bit hot on the cpu cooler/backplate and GT540m backplate/cooler. The cooler on the 540m.. one of the screws WILL NOT GO IN all the way. I don't think that has to do with it tho. I did not do the best job on the thermal paste either.. but it was good enough seeming, I put a bit on.. but I didn't do the line trick on the gt540m. I accidently spreded it a bit. If the thermal paste did get on the PCB of that graphics chip, would that hurt it? If not... does anyone know what is causing this? Laptop: k53e/sv mixture 4gb of ram(temporary, will be removed and have a diffrent set of unmatching 8gb added later). 500gb Seagate 2.5" HDD. Win 7 home premium 64 bit. 720p display. A few days ago.. for 50 bucks I got a Dell Poweredge 1850.. for 50 bucks. Its a really old server. When we got it, the seller was showing it working fine with a monitor before we picked it up. I believe on the HDD bay a light is supposed to show, and a blue light is supposed to flash blue without any on/off repeats, just steady light.. from what I have seen on youtube. It has 2 PSU's... for redundancy. Plugging in one should be just fine, I don't have a spare nearby outlet near the testing area to plug both at once. Problem is... when I plug it in(the fan is meant to spin when it's off, just the psu fan or fan's thats plugged in) the psu fan spins like its meant to. Thing is, a blue light that is meant to be steady on doesn't stay on steady. Also, some light that shows a pic of what looks like a battery as if it was on a laptop palmrest. But that shows a orange light for 3 seconds. When I power it on, all the fans spin, and the powerlight is on. I hear the HDD, but there is no HDD light. Also, I have a 50 foot ethernet cord going to it.. but idk if it has the drivers for it yet, I plan on reinstalling the OS to somthing that supports the drivers. But I have a 50 foot ethernet cord going to it just in case. So the blue light with a I symbol next to it. I have to press the button next to it for the light to show.. but when I do that, the light blinks for 1 second on, 1 second off.. and that repeats. I have a working monitor plugged into it.. this is the second monitor I have tested with it. On both VGA outputs(Well one of the monitors are huge and heavy, and it fell the other day, but still powers). Those are some unusual things, and the server doesn't show on the display. When we brought it, the seller had it running with a display working. I have opened it.. but that shouldn't be a issue. Idk whats going on, please help me! i just got all of my computer parts for my system today and the power supply worked great out of the box but now that everything is in it and plugged in it wont turn on it is a corsair cx750 and i also have an evga 500w power supply and when i plug THAT into the motherboard the fans get to full speed and then stop running and the corsair one the two top fans just twitch and nothing else happens. in the system i have a core i5 cpu, one 1tb hard drive, and one 250gb hard drive (boot drive), 4 fans (including cpu fan), and then my msi motherboard.

I think this is important. Many companies made accessories, mostly headsets, that worked on X360 (and PC at the same time) and now we are hearing they won't work on Xbox One. Nice waste of money I'd say.. And I was getting ready to buy one. Nice dodge.. Microsoft confirmed to Joystiq only Xbox One controllers and accessories are supported by the new console. The new system won't support the Xbox 360 controller or Xbox 360 Kinect. Hello, I recently cleaned out my computer using a hair dryer. When I plugged everything in and turned it on, all I get is a blank screen, not even the bios will popup. I need urgent help I need to finish my work.

So my brother has a laptop with a broken screen, today he got a new hd tv for his birthday, and when i connected his laptop to it, it worked! Then i updated the graphics driver and BOOM! it says no signal and won't work, and doe'snt work on the old vga moniter either.
