I'm configuring Windows 10 22H2 Machines with a Powershell script over several Reboots. A Part of that is the Configuration and Installation of several Languages appx and cab Files, after that the Windowsstore develops a bug where it finds Updates for 17 Apps and wants to update them but just skims over them as they are already up to date. It does that everytime I click Update. It does actual Updates aswell if it finds any. Has anybody an Idea how to fix this? I already tried everything in the typical Blogs from wsreset to reregistering the Store App itself and ofcourse I rebooted the Maschines several Times. Edit: the 17 Apps it loops over do not include the Language Packs

Hi, I have a question about the Nvidia Control Panel Windows Store App. Upon first installation in 20H2, automatic with a clean install, it asks to accept a EULA when first launched, but when I installed it on another PC without an MS user account it is the normal app without the license prompt. Does anyone know why? Does resetting the app via Apps & Features will prompt it again besides removing all of my custom settings?

I just put together a new build: 16GB Corsair LPX 3200 Sapphire Pulse 5600XT Ryzen 5600X Corsair RM650 MSI B550 A-Pro 1x AOC Monitor Several games (so far, exclusively games from the Windows Store/Xbox game pass service) will only run at full frames if they are set to windowed mode. Fullscreen and sometimes even Fullscreen Borderless will result in the game chugging along at 5 FPS, as if it's been alt-tabbed. The only solution so far is to set the game to windowed mode, and then back to 1920x1080 in order to get it to fill the entire screen, but not all games allow you to do this so I'm at a loss. Could this be a problem with Windows 10 "Apps"? Any ideas?

I was trying to download The new Minecraft Dungeons game from the windows 10 store when I noticed my speeds are in the KB/s - 5 Mbps/s I am installing this game on an SSD with half a Gig of bandwith hard lines so I did some digging on my Netduma router and found a few things out. My primary download was coming from peer to peer connections and it was skipping around all over the place all over the USA (my location limits I set) So Step one Disable updates from people on the internet. Next set hard values in delivery optimization to just a bit below your internet speed I get an average peak speed of 567Mbp/s download so I have it hard locked to 400 Mbps/s just incase I get an update while I am gaming or watching something. I downloaded MCD 3x back to back and downloaded forza while switching downloads from internet users on and off and can confirm as of now that it does indeed work. P.S. must have windows update May 2020 or later for the option to populate as you see here

In what can be looked at as a great way for trying out new games through the Xbox One and Windows Store, Microsoft is rolling out a program for a new Self-Service Refund policy. From an article on Hexus: http://hexus.net/gaming/news/industry/104593-microsoft-offer-xbox-one-windows-digital-games-refunds/ So the terms of this appear to be that gamers would be able to change their minds on games purchased within 14-days and having a total gameplay limited to less than 2 hours across devices. Of course, DLCs, Add-Ons and Season Passes are excluded from this policy and if Microsoft feels that someone is abusing the program, they reserve the right to restrict access to the Self-Service Refund system. Hot Hardware's Article stipulates that the program is currently only rolling out to 'select Microsoft Insiders' for the time being, however, this may be a great way for Windows to follow Valve's lead and create a system for people to try out new games as well as expand their online store. http://hothardware.com/news/microsoft-offers-self-service-refunds-on-xbox-one-and-windows-10-games EDIT: To expand onto this a little bit further, I guess the program can't please everyone, especially some of the smaller Game Dev companies... According to a WCCFTech article (so of course grains of salt may apply) the group at The Chinese Room (Dear Esther, Amnesia) feels that the self service refunds should not be based just on the number of hours played, but should instead operate on the games completion. http://wccftech.com/the-chinese-room-xbox-refunds-bollocks/ This does raise an interesting point/question, should your refund be based on whether you enjoy the game or not or does it make sense to compensate the game devs a bit as well for their development time and costs.

Windows Store is Shit i have downloaded 56GB in Gears of war 4 then the windows store app updated now my download restarted is there a way to recover my downloaded files?!?!?!?! that took me 6 Days to Download non stop now it's at the Delevery Optimization files

Hey guy! When i try downloading Forza Horizon 3 it keeps saying downloading but no more information about how fast the download is and not even refreshing the megabyte count. Sometimes it's an error or it's just not downloading. I tried to repair the store with the store repair tool and a tried deleting the cache manually but nothing works. After i had 4-5gb's it said error. Yeah my internet is slow but other games worked just fine by downloading them in the store. So what the hell am i doing wrong? How can i start the download without a red head and a exploded brain?! Damn i hate Microsoft... im sorry.. but this is really frustrating... the game isn't that cheap and i hate Microsoft even without the store so please give a good solution And maybe someone know how to really contact the Microsoft support per e-mail or something where i can give precise informations to them without giving them all my information i ever owned in my life. (Im sorry for my english skills if there is something that really confuses you. I come from germany and im just a man who hates problems like these ) -Icefly

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is currently on sale in the Windows Store. I'm thinking of buying it, but the reviews were giving me second thoughts. However, those were from 2016. To anyone who owns the game, did the performance improve?

Idk how but the windows store doesn't show up when i search it on the start menu or when i look through installed apps, yet Skype preview and all my other apps still remain on my pc. How do i get windows store back? Will doing a Reset fix this? (I'm on windows 10)

win10 1809 x64 asus z97 deluxe i7 4790k 4.8ghz 32gb ddr3 3ghz rx580 8gb 1500mhz core, 2k mhz mem clock, +6 cv C:/ samsung nvme ssd i highly doubt overclocks have anything at all to do with this issue, but wanted to get it out there incase it does. im having the same issue i was having a few days ago when i posted the original question to this forum.. ANYTHING windows store related does not open.. i have reset all the apps, and now the apps will not download, they are just sitting in a downloading mode with the white bar in the app list in the start menu and they arent downloading.. i cant use photos, windows store, game bar, cant take screen shots, cant do anything at all that relies on whatever it is that runs the primary windows store apps. including the windows store itself. I have used cmd and power shell (admin) to do every single suggestion that everyone has suggested and ive followed every relevant suggestion iwas able to find online.. ive ran the troubleshooters multiple times, NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! short of a windows reinstall, i have no freaking idea how to fix this and its extremely annoying.. The screenshot process i used dozens a time a day.. looking at photos i used every single day for work.. My productivity is being extremely hampered here.. someone please help!!!!!!!!!! I really dont want to reinstall windows and lose a year of settings and configs, etc..

Messenger (beta) on the Windows Store was just updated. The old Windows Store app was lacking quite a few features. Now, it's much better. Looks similar to the Messenger Web App except it uses a 3 dot button the top right instead of the information button. Small news here but I thought it was interesting enough to share. Microsoft released there own File recovery software. availible for versions of Windows 10 2004 [my build: 19041.423] Its called "Windows file recovery" The product you can find it in the microsoft store. This is a command line based software. the UI of the program is on the screenshot below. I tried running it ones from my downloads folder to a other disk. The data was there. At least the names. The text within it was completly encrypeded. And it recovered 2 photos. I tried to recover it from a m.2 nvme SSD [no bitlocker]. Can u guys test this out for one of your files. And we will see if this program is good or not.

Hey everyone, This is a bit of a loaded question; but I am interested to know if anyone has gotten this to work. My end game looks like this: Play a Windows App Store game from Steam client, and also be able to use steams In-Home Streaming functionality. I recently purchased Forza Motorsport 7; my very first Windows Store game. As you know, this library does not install like most other game clients like Steam, Origin or uPlay. Windows has the filesystem locked down tighter than fort knox, and even if you do alter permissions to access game files, you cannot simply run any executable. I feel like I've probably tried a better part of the solutions online, but to no avail have I had any success. Starting to wonder if this is at all possible. Does anyone know if I am beating a dead horse surround this situation? Thanks dudes and dudettes!

Friend of mine bought this laptop: ASUS R420SA-BV038T And asking my what the F is with software install limitations. You see this laptop was pre-instaled with Windows 10s and it restricts user from installing software from other sources than M$ store. As i already googled there is a solution to bypass this limitation when you upgrade from 10s to Windows 10 Pro (maybe free) So he wondering do worth upgrading to 10 Pro or downgrading to Windows 7? Expected driver issue when using older OS>. In manufacturer website i can't find listed this laptop, so no drivers here.What i understand asus isn't using unique parts so it should be available to download by searching by hardware ID's. What would you suggest in this situation? Edit1: Ha i found specs, real name appeared when managing acc from M$ website

Hello, out of the blue somehow my windows store stopped working and said that there is no network connection despite the fact that it is connected. It gives the error code 0x80072EE7. Apart from the Windows Store none of the other apps are working either and even windows's own Feedback Hub doesnt work and i am also not able to connect my local account with a microsoft account. I have searched and postedd on many forums and they gave me many solutions but none of them have worked yet. My Laptop's Specs: Nvidia Geforce 1050 4gb vram Windows 10 Home x64 intel core i5 7th gen 8 gb ram I would appreciate if someone helps ASAP.

I bought Forza Horizon 3 today and I was really hyped to play it but after I installed it and pressed play it onöy displays a picture of the cover. This happens both if I launch it in the store or the xbox play hub thingy. I bought it as a digital copy via the Windows Store and the installation went fine. It's just when I press play that the problem occurs. How can't fix it. I've searched for a bit and don't see to find a solution.

Hey Guys, I'm having an issue with Forza Horizon 3. It downloaded like 15-20GB (I can't recall the exact number) then it just stopped and when i tried to download it again it shows: "Try download again" ; "Something happened on our end" I have the Ultimate Edition if you guys are wondering.

This morning, Quantum Break developer Remedy posted a status update on Quantum Break, outlining what will be fixed and what won't. I've typed a summary of important issues below. General Performance Issues & Stuttering - This will be fixed in an update "coming in the near future". Most likely within a week or two. V-sync, G-sync, and Freesync - Microsoft will be enabling UWP support for Variable Refresh Rate Technology "in May". The update will likely be in 3 to 6 weeks. Graphics settings - Many users complained about the mandatory film grain, and now Remedy has confirmed they are adding more graphical options in "a future update". Render Technique - For those who don't know, Quantum Break uses a non-native render resolution. Simply put, This will remain the only option for rendering, much to the disappointment of the many players hoping for the ability to render in their PC's native resolution. Non-native render resolution results in the game appearing hazy and unrealistic. Below is an example image demonstrating this issue. Multi GPU Support - Remedy has announced that there will be no Multi-GPU support, stating that due to the engine architecture described above, "the work needed to support multiple GPUs would have been significant and out of scope for Remedy for Quantum Break." Opinion - This is just another example of a developer, Remedy, being held back by their choice to develop for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP). I doubt that after this news, coupled with the game's poor launch, this game will do well on PC. What Microsoft is trying to do with UWP and the Windows Store is holding back developers without giving them any benefits. Unless Microsoft makes major changes to UWP, it will remain restrictive and unadvantageous, and will fail. It looks to me like the UWP is just Games for Windows Live all over again. I am encountering the error code 0x80072EFD when i open the windows store, i have tested other computers on the network and they are able to access the store. i have used system restore to go back to the last critical update that was installed, I have run WSReset.exe and i am still encountering the issue, i have rebooted the router multiple times as well as my computer. I Have tried multiple wireless adapters and had the same issue.

Looks like Microsoft's hard push for quantitative build up of its app store is causing some pollution. I don't have access to the store, so can anyone confirm the situation? The Windows Store is a Cesspool of Scams — Why Doesn’t Microsoft Care?
