Hi, I have got a Zalman Z9 Neo case with a windowed side panel. The title pretty much says it all, but When I clean the side panel it is crystal clear but then after about a day marks will form on it. I am assuming these marks are dust, as they come off with a cloth. Any tips on how to stop these marks forming? Thanks

Hey, Just picked myself up the XB271HU Acer Predator monitor - (IPS, 144hz, gsync, 1440p). Just wondering what type of screen mode I should play in for games? I only have a single monitor set up so I've always loved windows borderless - however I've recently seen information that the input lag is substantially higher playing this way? I mainly play CSGO and other competitive games at a high level (supreme rank for example).. so input lag is something that worries me as such. Should I continue to play borderless windowed or convert over to true full screen? Appreciate the help!

I usually play 2 games: CS:GO and H1Z1 KOTK. I have a dual monitor setup, both are 144hz BenQ XL2430T. Whenever I am playing any of the above mentioned games (in fullscreen mode) I can normally move my mouse to the second monitor just like when the game is in windowed mode. I don't want that, I want it to behave like fullscreen (when i move the mouse to the second monitor, the mouse should not be allowed to wonder off to the other monitor). Appreciate any help, i have been loosing my mind trying to find a solution to this but to no avail.

I guess you know what is the question me and my friend got into an argument about the windowed side panel since he bought a case that has a side panel and placed it on the left side. to me, it makes no sense to place it like that what are your opinion guys?

Normally I get ~200 FPS on games like League of Legends and CS:GO (maybe 100 for Overwatch) in windowed borderless. After (what I believe is causing this:) the new GeForce Experience update, I'm getting ~20 FPS in the exact same games at the same and even lower settings. Fullscreen mode fixes this problem I get ~200 FPS again, however I highly prefer playing in windowed borderless to alt+tab. I'm not sure why or how, perhaps something to do with the new nVidia shadowplay recording thing. Please let me know if anything comes up. Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I've been trying to find info regarding running games in a 24/27 inch window on a 32 inch 1440p monitor (AOC ag322qcx). Is it possible to run a game in that size window and benefit from higher refresh rates, or is it not that simple? Thanks

What is the best cheap Micro ATX Case which has a side panel window? Thanks!

So my gf's computer is due for a new case as the current one is breaking. We discussed it over and what she wants is a windowed white tower (So far within budget we've found a couple options, NZXT phantom 240, inwin 503, Deepcool tesseract, but if you have suggestions to add to that, that'd be cool. We're looking in the under $100AU range). But here's the real problem: she wants RGB lighting, but with the intention of having it set to pink for a lot of the time, but if she tires of it she can always swap the colours around. Before I go into more detail, I'd like to state : I have never done anything RGB before, My immediate thought was the Corsair RGB fans, HD120 or SP120. But when I researched, pink didn't appear to be in their colour list. So I googled around for more RGB fans, and all I could find was like RGB "rings" on fans, as opposed to the blades being lit. In addition to that I'd want to know the deal with RGB controllers with Fans and LED's. So if we went with a corsair HD120 kit, it gives us a controller and a hub and some extensions which seem like you can just hook that onto a LED strip. is that only compatable with a corsair LED strip or could I put that onto a Deepcool one? (as I can get corsair for $35 and Deepcool for $19). Her current MoBo I don't think has RGB headers (Gigabyte H170 HD3). The ideal situation would be we can get the whole setup for under $200AU, I think the only compromise I can come up with is getting the NZXT phantom which I believe comes with white fans, chuck in a pair of deepcool LED strips (which do appear to have a pink option). but I'd really not have to settle and actually find some RGB fans that would do the trick. Preferably the whole rig being able to use the same controller or UI. TL;DR: Do you guys know of any RGB fans that can do pink? Any RGB fans aside from Corsair? Or can you get corsair fans to go pink? Thanks! Sorry for going overboard with the explanation, it's my first time looking into RGB and I just don't want to make any purchasing mistakes.

Alright, In full screen mode, I'm running 40-50 FPS on a Insignia Roku TV(I know it isn't the best for gaming, will upgrade later.) However, when I run it at native while in the windowed borderless modes I get the full 60 FPS. Any ideas why? From what I read, it's supposed to be the opposite of this.

Hi, so i am not 100% sure if i am in the right section for that, so sry if not. here we go... it is not my computer but i do my best to explain the problem. this is how the setup looks like: http://imgur.com/hk8qXf1 when he is streaming, he use a second computer with a capture card (AVermedia ExtremeCap U3). to be able to use his main display at a high refresh rate (144hz) and use the capture card, he has to clone his main display with the capture card rather than use pass-through. how the problem looks like: http://imgur.com/7ts7hGP game in fullscreen (left primary monitor 1920x1080) extends into the monitor on the right (secondary monitor) game: miscreated the problem is, when attempting to play miscreated in fullscreen mode with the capture card enabled, it sets the game to this strange resolution that overlaps into the second monitor and leaves all the menu options or UI in game unclickable. having the game in windowed mode is fine, but that's not an option due to how poor the performance in windowed mode is.

So... im having a bit of trouble deciding on a case that i like........ yeah. this is the current parts list i have: PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/CK98r7 Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/CK98r7/by_merchant/ CPU: Intel Xeon E5-2670 V3 2.3GHz 12-Core OEM/Tray Processor ($200.00) (es off ebay. idc about rules, bite me) CPU Cooler: be quiet! PURE ROCK 51.7 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (Purchased For $0.00) (temporary, and i have this) Thermal Compound: ARCTIC MX4 4g Thermal Paste ($7.38 @ Newegg) Motherboard: ASRock X99 Taichi ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard ($221.98 @ Newegg) Storage: Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($187.93 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($93.49 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For $0.00) (already own, permanent) Keyboard: Corsair K65 LUX RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard ($109.99 @ Best Buy) Headphones: Kingston HyperX Cloud II 7.1 Channel Headset ($99.99 @ Best Buy) Other: Asus RX 480 Strix ($300.00) Other: G.Skill Trident Z 3200 MHZ 32GB (4x8GB) Black/White ($179.99) Other: AOC I2777FQ ($199.99) Total: $1600.74 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-08-27 18:48 EDT-0400 I really want a case that is >$200 usd, and there are so many options. the main two requirements i have is that it has watercooling support for 360mm radiators, and it has a side panel window. currently i have a define s, and it is a really plain looking case (not to mention the side panel window is of awful quality. rainbows everywhere!) im not opposed to having plain looking cases, but i just dont like this case for some reason... currently i am getting really interested in tempered glass side panels, but it isnt a requirement to have, i just think they look amazing. (like on the lian li pc09) the case i was going to get, but decided to not go for was the AI-Crystal, but they ripped the design off of rosewill (cullinan) or vice versa.... and since i am not getting this case NOW, i dont know if it will be around for 6 months! my color scheme is black with white accents. i will be painting the gpu to have white accents and a white backplate as well, so please pick something that matches!

I am thinking about upgrading my case for something quieter. I currently have a Corsair Carbide Spec 02 which is nice, but its time for an upgrade. My budget for this is the $60-100 range. I have been looking at the P400s and the define S because they are both cases that are marketed as quiet, but also have a window. While I know a window certainly doesn't help silence anything, I would like a case that has both as components are pretty and nice to look at. I will eventually be adding an AIO water cooler(likely 280mm), but from my understanding this is not a problem in either case (front mount on p400s). While I do recognize that the Define S is favored to this point, I have fallen in love with the idea of the leds on the P400S. This is not absolute though, and if the Define S is drastically quieter than the P400s, then my decision will have been made. If you have other suggestions within my budget, I would appreciate them. In short, I am looking for a case that must... have a window be quiet cost under 100USD support radiators up to 280mm In order of importance to me, here are the factors I am taking into consideration. 1. Quietness 2. Budget 3. Level of turnip 4. Appearance 5. Cable Management I don't think that it is really necessary, but my parts list is linked here. *I really don't care about the ODD and do not mind excluding it from the system if the case does not have a 5.25" bay. thanks for the help

When I play games in windowed (fullscreen), I get over 60fps, though it feels like I'm looking at 60fps. Is this just the sad fact of windowed (fullscreen) gaming, or is there a way to fix this? Can you guys see all of your frames in windowed borderless as if you were in fullscreen? I feel like I'm not making the most out of my 165Hz monitor when playing anything but CS:GO which I play in fullscreen for the extra performance. For example, I play World of Warcraft in windowed (fullscreen), I get 120-170fps though it feels like I'm looking at 60fps. If I switch to fullscreen I get the exact same fps, but it is much smoother, I can clearly tell the difference, I'm seeing the frames I should be. This is the same for all windowed (fullscreen) games I play. I still play WoW in windowed (fullscreen) though for the convenience of hopping between monitors at will. It would be awesome not to have to choose between performance and convenience. Win7 home Asus ROG swift PG279Q 165Hz (Had the same issue on my old BenQ XL2411T 144Hz) i7-3820 @ 4.4GHz 12GB RAM GTX 970 (looking forward to my free $30) Sorry if this has been posted before, I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere. Cheers, James

So I'm trying to figure out Windowed Borderless or Fullscreen Borderless modes.. I mean I'm not having troubles with Fullscreen but it is annoying to alt tab and check things out, always bothers me .. But, when I try Fullscreen/Windowed Borderless mode, it works.. but uhm.. micro stutters? and there's fps lag I think? sometimes it's smooth but not really... it feels choppy aswell, maybe? Im not sure tbh, but there are microstutters.. it's annoying, yet I love it. So what's up? is it my 60Hz monitor? Because my friends say it's completely fine with their 120/144 Hz monitors.. and Im all like "u sure?" Specs: GTX 980 Ti i5 3570k 16GB RAM Windows 10 pro

I am going to be building my first pc soon and I was wondering how many case fans I need. I am going to get an msi r9 270 and a g3258 both of which I will overclock. I am going to get a hyper 212x to cool the g3258. I have the cooler master n500 case which comes with 2 fans - how many more should I get?

So, I'm planning on getting the new windowed green BItfenix Prodigy. I will probably be using all of the fans that come with the case, except I will be switching out one of them for the H60's stock fan. I will be using a reference EVGA card and the windowed side panel, so the air holes for the gpu will not be there, so I have to draw air from the front of the case. I want to know where the optimal place for the H60's fan should go and in what configuration (push/pull). Any suggestions will help.

So I have been looking around for some things to make my build in my bitfenix shinobi look more red and awesome. So far i have decided to go with some nzxt red cable extensions and some red leds lights off amazon. I just need help finding some red mesh to replace the black mesh that come on the case. Also I would like to get the windowed side panel or possibly make my own out of the side panel that came with the case. WARNING! I am a complete newb at modding cases and have never done it before!

Hello LTT forum members. I have a question. Would it be possible to run some linux distros in a window within windows? I don't feel like dual booting and i would like to see if there are any options like this. To clarify. Is there any way of running linux in windows as if it was a .exe file? So i could resize the window and minimize/maximize it too? And close it down when i get bored. I'd like to try out some various versions of linux before my inspiron 7737 arrives. I plan to run linux on my Hp G62-453TU after that but i'd like to try them out on my desktop first. I apologize if there already is a post like this.

Hi, It would seem as if I need some help. While watching YouTube videos in windowed mode on Chrome, I get really bad screen tearing and low frame-rates, and when going into full screen, the same effects, only worse. I have tried updating my flash and checked the option to use HTML5 when ever possible but it still happens. Nothing is taking up any un-necessary amounts of system RAM, (unless you include Chrome). To rule out Chrome as being the problem, I have tried Firefox, Internet Exploder, and Safari, but the problem still exists. If anyone else has experienced this or knows of a solution, it would be extremely aprechiated if you could share your opinions. Thanks for all your help.
