The stutter last anywhere from some ms to several seconds. (Couple of instances where the stuttering have lasted 20+min) The amount of stutter is proportional to the length of time after power on. The stuttering starts to become noticable after 6 ish hours. (While typing, and a stutter occur, the typed word takes a second before it shows up on screen.) Now, I have had this issue for a looong time, and decided to buy new components since im sick and tired of the really anoying bug/issue/fault, but to my surprise, the bug/issue have transferred over to the new system. What was brought over from the old setup: PSU: Cooler Master V1000 RAM: 2x8GB Trident-Z White/Black (F4-3200C14D-16GTZKW) GPU: RTX 2080 ROG Strix OC M.2: Corsair 970 EVO 500GB (Boot Drive) SSD: Kingston 480GB and a Kingston 240GB HDD: Western Digital 10TB Note: The ram is not on the motherboard qvl, but the motherboard is on the ram qvl. I did a fresh install of Windows on the new M.2 (Patriot Viper VPN100 512GB). The new ram 2x8GB Trident-Z RGB (F4-3200C14D-16GTZR). CPU/MOBO: 11700K and ROG Strix Z590-F The bug is still present without the ssd's and hdd. Since there is only 3 components that are the possible causer,(RAM, GPU and M.2) I can now try ruling out one after one to find the faulty hardware. Any knowledge and or discussion of this bug is appreciated.

So. This is pretty odd. But this pc has had problems before. Like not booting, suddenly shutting down on idle etc Specs: Asus b550-A Ryzen 7 3700x 2x 16gb tident z rgb @3600mhz Strix 5700XT TT toughpower Grand rgb Gold 750w psu So lets go back a couple days. I got my motherboard extension cable on mail. But it was already night, so I decided to get it the very next day. I unplugged the psu from the wall and took out the motherboard power cable, so the next day i could just plug the extension cable in. The extension cable in question is the Lian Li stimer V2 RGB 24pin. Fast forward to next day. I plugged the extension cable in, the pc was not booting. Sometimes this exact problem happens, when i have unplugged the psu. Mayby mothebroard capacitors drained and caused problems?? Wierd. but this happens 25% of the times after the psu have been unplugged for sometime., So usually the problem goes away after couple reboot attempts. But not this time!! The dram led was on, but the beeper was beeping video card issue. Hmm Wierd i thought. So pulled gpu out, still the same led and beeping. Well, pulled the ram out, still the same!! wtf i thought??? Tested the ram, and gpu on my testing rig and worked fine. Also tested a different psu, ram and gpu that I knew were working. Still the same dram led and beeping. I was pretty tired, So I took the cmos battery out for the next night and unplugged the pc. Well fast forward to second day of torubleshooting, after the cmos reset still not booting. Wierd i thought. Well I ordered a stock cpu cooler, since I was running an AIO. Im still waiting for the cooler. Well decieded to use my test bench to play games, and left my pc unplugged to wait for the stock cooler, So i could rebuild it out of the case. Well not it gets even more interesting. Fast forward to third day, just casually plugged the pc in and it booted!! Well with onyl 1 stick of ram. Dual channel would nto work, So i had to put the ram on slots b1,b2. Well booted fine. Tried 5 different bios version, still no dual channel. hmmm. XMP worked So I just thought ok then, not a big problem. But more probmels arise!! The rgb of anything else than the gpu and ram was not working. Douple checked all the wirings, they were all good. Pretty odd. Well after I updated windows, the "cpu fan error" warning message comes. Very wierd i thought sicne the AIO pump and the fans are connected, never had this problem before. Also there is a slight smell of mayby burnt electronics? cant really tell. Anyway ordered a new motherboard, will use the pc until it comes Also motheboard reports my cpu temp as 9C. and cannot see any of my fans so they run at 100% and very loud all the time. At this point i was convinced that the motherboard somehow died? but how tho? After I mroe reboot the case RGB kinda works, creeps me out. Just flashes different colors or 1ms. Pc haunted? Mayby a short somewhere since all of ths acting up started about a year ago. It started as soemtimes i have to boot my pc twice in order it to work. Then there was those random shutdonw. Just straight shutdowns. Well those happened alwasy at idle, and mayby 2-3 times a week. Did not bother to troubleshoot. Then happened the ram lights. 25% of the time my pc would not boot, until, well many tries, then a lot of memory management blue screens. And now all of this bs. wtf is going on? Most likely will receive the cooler tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. Will keep you updated, if the pc fully works outside of the case. Anyway the motherbaord will take 5-7 days to come sadly. Hope that my pc does not explode while I wait for that. So what do you guys think that might have happened to my motherboard? All o these problems do NOt happen, when I leave the power cablew plugged for the night. But I have ti move the pc 1-2 times per week, and everytime after the psu is unplugged problems start to arise. Mayby @--SID-- has knowledge of this, mayby not, worth the shot.

I have a strange problem with my PC, a few hours ago, I just started seeing random elements disappear from my discord, (profile pics etc), then I tried opening chrome but that wouldn't work, nothing in the task bar would function, moving and resizing opened programs worked but nothing else did. Win+X didn't work, restarted, same thing, did this a couple times, then I just waited, and somehow windows explorer managed to slowly load up (5-10mins). List of things I have tried that haven't worked: Restarting Safe mode Sfc scannow

Ive seen nearly the same problems on all sorts of fourms but never the exact same and a "solution" that didnt work. 2 weeks ago i upgraded my prebuilt. I bought a new gpu, power supply and case. It was fine for a couple days but then wouldn't boot. It would power on, LEDs and fans all work but the USB ports weren't powered. I did some searching, couldn't fix it but then one day it decided to turn on! And then it didn't again. It then decided to be bootable completely randomly. One night I'd turn it off and it'd be a gamble if it'd turn lon the next morning. I thought the problem was the Mb. After that i bought a new Mb, CPU and RAM. worked fine again for a couple days. Now has the same problem. This time around however my Mb has EZ Debug LEDs on the board. 1 lights up and that's the CPU. But everything is completely new from the ground up except the storage. So how the hell is the CPU causing this problem? I've checked wires, repluged everything, tried to boot with 1 stick of RAM and no USB connections, tried different power outlets, And YES I've turned it off and on. Specs: Gigabyte Rx 5700 Ryzen 5 3600 Corsair vengence LPX 2x8gb ddr4 3600Mhz Msi MPG x570 gaming edge Wi-Fi Motherboard Corsair vengeance 750 watt PSU Cooler master mb530 Case I'm desperate here. Spent so much money just to get it too work :(

Hello i recently decided to water cool my PC, so i did my research and went on and bought all the kit i needed to water cool my CPU and my GPU So i bought A D5 pump a Frozen Q res and CPU, GPU Ek water blocks. I also bought two 360 radiators one 30mm thick and the other 45mm. And of course i bought proper coolant and all the proper fittings, tubing etc. I also flushed my radiators properly. I then put the fullcoverblock on the GPU and mounted the CPU block. This all went far easier than i expected lol Then it came time to start filling, so i filled the ress up a decent amount and made sure the pump (which ofc is directly under the ress) had water in it then i powered the pump alone and i heard a sharp banging noise followed by some scraping coming from the pump then it started quietly humming like i would expect. But the problem was that it didnt didnt seem to push any water D: So i then disassembled the loop and build a trial loop outside of the PC. This loop only consisting of the pump, the res and one 360 radiator, so that i could rest the pump again. So i did this and filled it up again then tried to give it power. and it appeared to push water fine, all be it, a bit slowly but i assumed it was just air in the system causing it to be that slow. Then i reassembled the loop and started filling it again, this time it went a little better as it managed with some help tilting the PC i managed to get it bleed and got most of the air out. Then i checked all my paper for leaks and luckily the was none. So i then let it go for 24 hours in order to be sure there was no leaks, and it was all fine. Then i took the PC back to its spot and plugged it all back and put it to use. Then i took a look at the temps i was getting, and it was way higher than i expected. I have the CPU idling from 40C with each core getting up to 60C randomly. The GPU was better but still idling at 40C and being stable at 40C. Then i tried Cine bench and Heaven running at the same time and it wall almost went to shit. The CPU peeked at 87C and my GPU jumped to 67C before i cut it off. These temps are all wrong right? like I have two 360s cooling these so my question is, wheather the pump has gone bad and not circleing the water fast enough to actually cool the coolant? Any help or advice from more seasoned watercoolers would be greatly appreciated.

Just a second ago I booted up my rig to play some r6 siege. It was running beautifully last night, but today when it booted the CPU fan then pinned at 100%. I checked my settings in the Bios and my settings were normal (level 1, target temp 50). The CPU temp was at a cool 28 C. Visual inspection showed nothing wrong with the MOBO or the cooler . So I don't know how to fix this problem. Yeah my PC is usable, but I keep my rig on my desk right next to my monitor so as you can imagine now. The noise gets very annoying, very quick.

So i had this coolermaster seidon 120m, i kept my cpu (i5-4690k @4.4ghz @1.32v) under 70c while gaming. It never got past 68c. And for the good looks i bought a Deepcool 240m. And wierdly enough it cant keep up. My cpu is going 74c while gaming, not synthetic tests. Anyone have any suggestions ? I still use the same fans on the Deepcool as i used on the seidon (noctua 120mm)

So I get a strange one for all the techies out there. I recently upgraded by computer to Windows 10. (Clean install, I wiped my Windows 7 drive and installed Windows 10 on top of it) I've got a Logitech G700 Wireless Rechargeable Gaming Mouse. Now for some reason when ever I hold down the Right Mouse Button for any period of time I get multiple mouse events being recorded by ... the OS(?). I don't know exactly where the multiple events are bring inserted but it mostly happens when I release the right mouse button. So in my attempts to troubleshoot this problem I've Googled multiple things to try to get this issue solved but I think I've run into a road block. I found the following forum post and tried the solutions listed there. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-other_settings/w10-right-click-doesnt-work-on-all-items/11698aee-9413-49c8-8277-995568eb4818?auth=1 I also found a page recommending me to Uncheck "Allow computer to turn of this device ...." in the device manager. But the problem persists. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks

So, when I turn my PC to sleep mode, pushing the sleep button on my keyboard, in the morning when I go to turn in back it will not post properly. I hit a button on the keyboard, and the keys light up for a moment(Razer Cynosa Chroma) and then turn back off(ALSO the LED on the AIO lights, and the fans rev). I can do this as much as I want. THEN, I hit the reset button. The PC turns off for a split second, then starts to post. I do a CPU post, then DRAM, and then NOTHING. It does not even try to do a VGA code. Might I mention that the post codes go way faster then they should. SO, I reach over and hold the power button, regretting that I will lose some of my GR:W progress. Once it turns off, I turn it back on and it posts, VERY slowly, the boot time is like... 1 and a half mins maybe. I'm using NVMe m.2 storage as well(as boot drive). I'm used the major delay of booting being the hold f2 or del screen(which it is the screen it stays on for a while). Other things, I have the 8700k OC to 4.8 ghz, it will do 5.1 but why temp GR:W to be even MORE unstable. I also have EVGA PreX software OCing the gtx 1080 by about +125 mhz, something like that(so I can strain to hit 60 fps on Ultra, 1080p). ANYWAY, if anyone knows wtheck is going on, please help. If you need more info tell me.

I just found possibly one of the weirdest CPU Blocks ever made. I'm sure it's heavily used but it looks weird and is also LTT Style. Black and Orange = The way to go!

first of all i want to thank you if you can help me.so here is my problem. 2 weeks ago my game crashed , frooze my computer and showed some wierd artifacts on screen. so i manually shutted my pc down ( pressed the power botten for a couple of seconds ) after that my computer would show wierd artifats when i started any game, even when i started windows. So i did my research and i found that it would be likely a dead or a faulty GPU. I bought a new GPU today and putted it in my pc. everything worked fine for a hour or so and then the same problems accured againI tried to bootwith integrated graphics, no wierd artifacts where showing then even when playing games on it ( could not get more then 5 frames but still no wierd artifacts ) .could it be that my PSU is killing both GPU's ? My specs CPU = i5 4770kGPU = GTX 1060 6GB ( the new one ) GTX 780 ( the old one ) PSU = Cooler Master B700 ( 80 plus bronze ) Motherboard = B85M-E ( Micro ATX ) RAM = 16 GB DDR3 ( corsair i think ) i have to note that everything is around 5 years old ( except the new GPU ) thank you for your time and wisdomhere are some pictures of the artifacts https://imgur.com/a/yddrF( taken with screenshot via computer ) https://imgur.com/a/qXMpN ( take with cellphone ) https://imgur.com/a/yanTJ ( taken with cellphone )

So i had this funny/weird dream last night and i thought you guys might be entertained by it so here it goes so there was some kind of apocalypse, i presume a disease or something, so i was in a house in what i presume was California with most of my family, but they all had left to go scavenging and stuff except me and my cousin Kevin. So than a cult that we had never heard of comes into are house and kidnaps us, they bring us to this weird cult called the sleeping dogs where they kidnap people and treat them like dogs, one of the rules is unless you are a camp leader you have to wear an eye-patch over one of your eyes, and only camp leaders can take there eye-patch off, they also don't allow you to talk, the camp was split between camp A and camp B, I went along with the cult and was a really good cult member because i knew how to scavenge because i watched many movies and read many books about post-apocalypse, they sent me to camp a and my cousin Kevin to camp b, of corse we could not communicate between camps, eventually after a few scavenging missions they made me the leader of my camp and took my eye-patch of, the light hurt my eye so much i could barely see, and i convinced them to combine the camps because i really wanted to see my cousin Kevin, but when they finally combine the camps i learn that my cousin Kevin has escaped, so i wait until we are about to do are doggy yoga and then run away (BTW if you didn't catch on they literally treat us like dogs) the first time i run away they catch me, then next day at yoga i try to run away again, they catch me, the day after that at yoga though i manage to escape, meet this guy who i kinda know named Getz running around, i would have made friends with him but i was running away, so i run into a YMCA and then they cant find me, so when i find out the cost is clear i start searching the ymca for food, when i was younger i was at the YMCA all the time so i knew my way around better than most, i go into this supply room that barely anyone knows exists and there is very little food left in there, like two boxes of gram-crackers, there is a little girl and her older sister in there, i let them have the boxes although i am so hungry, i am so hungry in fact i pass out while standing in the dream then i wake up IRL and thats where the dream ends

So, recently, I have been playing a lot of Overwatch with no issues whatsoever. Running smooth 90-100 fps on my 980 Ti. However, last week, I started having a framerate issue. I cracked open my PC and re-plugged in the power cords going to my GPU and that did the trick. But now, today, I am having the same issue again. I once again opened up my chasse and re-plugged in my GPU cables, as well as ALL the cables going to my power supply, but that hasn't done the trick. My GPU gets a little warm when playing Overwatch, but not overheating (No pun intended). In the MAIN SCREEN of Overwatch I was having this issue. I also lowered down the graphics settings, and restarted my computer multiple times. This has effected all of my games, some more than others. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. Any ideas? If needed, here are my specs- i7-5930k Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti WINDFORCE 16 GB Kingston HyperX Fury Black ASRock X99 Extreme4 Corsair H100i GTX EVGA SuperNova 2TB SeaGate Barracuda 120GB SanDisk SSD+ Fractal Design Define R4 Please help. If there is anything I can do other than buying a new graphics card (Don't have the money right now to buy one), I will do it.

Backstory: I'm getting my A+ and storage+ certification through a technical college in my state. I repair/build custom PC's on the side and I've had some pretty wacky stuff happen to me. Old Lady Who Owns a Bakery This sweet old lady emailed me about getting a computer fixed that she used daily for her bakery, she usually logs stock and stuff like that so she knows what to buy for the next week. Issue # 1 She couldn't drive to me as she only has 3 employees and she has to keep things running smoothly so I went to her. She told me her PC was overheating and kept crashing. I thought it was a simple dust issue or some old thermal compound (something easy to resolve). I was wrong... For some reason that rejects all common sense (sorry but its true) her pc was under the "doe station" as she called it.... As flower goes dashing through the air her pc collects it all up like a damn vaccume. I opened up the case and their was flour everywhere.. Places dust would never be you can bet flour would find itself there. Most of it was resolved by 3 cans of air but the power supply was trashed so I had to replace that. Got paid 80 bucks for it and that was that, overall nice experience since I got brownies made for me also.

Hello guys, im new to the LinusTechTips Forum and i have been having a bunch of strange internet problems lately. It suddenly has gone from 10mbps to 2-4mbps. But the wierd part is when i reset my internet it goes back to 10mbps and stays for about 2 minutes. I will start up battlefield 4/Speed Tester and use them for about 2 minutes then my internet goes to crap. I have tried seeing if something on any computer in my household is using up all the bandwidth all of a sudden and none seem to be doing that. Besides that i dont know of anything else that could do effect my internet that much. I am a gamer and love to watch youtube videos/twitch streams while i game. I have been wondering if im being throttled by Century Link because i have used so much data.If so could this be a sign of being throttled? I could sure use some help and would love it if you helped out. Thanks- KruNight
