I have just built my new gaming pc and after checking all my cables were all in place and connected I had plugged it in and powered on, I was met with no display( I did plug my hdmi cable into my gpu) but I had seen LEDS on my mobo light up, it ran through orange first then red and then stuck on white followed by a green light after a couple seconds. I have tried reseating the gpu, I tried a different gpu and had the same result. I am also no using the plug that came with my psu because it was a 2 prong plug and I need a 3 prong plug so I used a plug that came with a different psu. Another thing to add is that approximately 2-3 seconds after booting I hear a click from my psu, idk if this is normal or it’s my psu that has a problem. Here are my specs Mobo: asus rog strix b550-f gaming cpu: r7 5800x gpu: rtx 2070 super gigabyte windforce ram: 16gb ddr4 3200mhz Corsair vengeance case: nzxt h5 flow cpu cooler: hyper 212 halo black psu: Corsair rm750x update: I was able to post by reseating the cpu and using a different gpu but can’t get into bios with my gpu

Hi all, I’m setting up my old pc (as I’ve upgraded) for my girlfriends birthday. It’s not been touched for about a month or two but never had any issues, I just wanted an upgrade. I added some storage since I transferred the old to my new build, but have now encountered an issue. When attempting to install windows at first, everything was fine - until windows needed to restart. After this, it tries to restart and I have no display output and a white VGA light. I can fix this with a menial restart (holding power button) and it comes back to life into the bios. However, every time I attempt to do a windows install now, I face the same issue. Every time the computer restarts, it won’t display and will give me the VGA error. specs x570f ROG STRIX Gaming ryzen 7 2700x Gigabyte 2070 32gb (8x4) Corsair vengeance RAM PSA. I have switched between monitors and hdmi/display ports and still the same issue. I have also cleared the cmos. EDIT: I have attempted flashing the bios now as well, with still the same issue. I have also checked to see if the GPU is detected by booting it connected to the pcie slot but with no power, my computer prompts me to plug the power cable into the GPU suggesting it is detected. growing ever confused about this, as the gpu clearly still works and is seated correctly, but unless it’s a manual restart, it won’t display anything. The biggest concern is that restarting from the bios also causes this issue. Would really appreciate any help because I want to get this sorted!

Hey all! First time posting here me know if I missed anything. TLDR: No post. Asus b450i gaming motherboard White VGA LED + Green LED Specs: - Windows 11 pro 64 bit - PC case: Phanteks evolv Shift - Motherboard: Asus B450 -I Gaming (not sure but latest bios install was BIOS 4602) - CPU: Ryzen 2700x - Ram: 2x 16gb Kingston hyper x 3200 mhz 32gb - Graphics card: AMD Vega 64 Liquid cool. - PSU: Corsair 750watt Problem: PC started up with RGB firmware update. Never seen this before and seemed to take some time. I googled it and found out that people said it could take 45 min, some took over 8h, some people just turned off their PC and worked after, mine took 2+ hours and continued to be on the same screen. Despite the warning I turned the PC off as I had to work that day with my pc from home. Ever since then I am having boot issues, as the warning suggested. I once was able to post into that American Megatrends boot window with the message I had to reset bios for it to boot but I did not have a keyboard attached as I was trying multiple things to repair this problem. Ever since then It does not boot / post. All the motherboard is showing is the white VGA LED but after some time the green LED turns on too at the same time as the white LED Things that do work: All the LEDs on my motherboard are working, also the RGB on the side of the motherboard. My keyboard is turning on its RGB lights. Fans are spinning and the lights on the graphics card are on as well. Things I have tried: Starting the PC without GPU Starting the GPU without GPU and then with GPU Reseating Ram One Ram stick. Ram stick in different slot. No USBs attaced. Different HDMI Cables. Tho they are working as I am using them on my older machine to work. Clear Cmos pins. Clear Cmos with battery. had it out for 3+ hours. I feel I have the motherboard in some update state where it does not know what to do any more. I am running out of options I feel and I am unsure what to do I hope I have not bricked my board! PS: I have updated bios for updating to windows 11 literally a week ago for the security enhancements. It was working perfectly fine before the RGB update. PPS: Image from reddit but same update message on my pc

Hi guys, The white Q LED (VGA) will stay on only after a cold boot. If I just restart the PC, it goes through the normal checks and all the LED's go off (as they should). Other than that, the computer works fine. Everything shows up and works as it should. I have reseated the GPU and the Memory a few times. nothing helps. Do you guys have any fixes or should I be concerned at all? Thanks.

Hello guys I am thinking about building a PC with a white theme, but i cant decide if the white colored Corsair Vengeance LXP or the Corsair Whitr Led rams would look better on a Tomahawk Arctic mobo. Would appreciate any point of view. Thanks.

Asus Z270I, White / VGA LED always on.
Antony Leung posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hello LTT forum users. Problem: So as you can see in the title I have a small problem with the asus z270I motherboard, The white or VGA_LED is always on after wake up from sleep state. All system works as expected after last bios update, and that led shouldn't make any sense, Since I updated the bios to 0812 version, this small problem always haunted me. It never happened on the 0704 version. and raises my concerns about the durability of the led, by common sense that led isn't designed to stay on for long periods of time. however this doesn't happens when the system is turn on from a complete system shutdown. Try: And I tried to rollback the bios with the normal methods and the bios says “selected file is not a proper BIOS”. Then I researched about methods to roll back the bios, since this motherboard doesn't have the USB flash back feature, and really I found these guides 1. 2 and 3, tried 1, It doesn't work for me, says " [FPTw64.exe] cannot be run on the current platform. Please contact your vendor." Either I'm missing something or the page don't explain well. 2... Nope it seems sketchy and old, same with 3, is old. I haven't tried those ones because I'm afraid that they won't work and make my motherboard a useless brick. Anyone knows a method to rollback this motherboard or any Z270 asus motherboard. ah! almost forgot, this pc dont have a dvd burner or reader, so the crashfree 3 thing of asus. nope.- 5 replies

So I'm in search of a white led, backlit membrane keyboard with standard key layout. I don't want extra or programmable keys. It can be any color as long as it is not mechanical. I know it's a weird query, but I hate hate hate mechanical switches. Any suggestions?

Hey guys, we're hopelessly stuck on trying to fix my buddies build. here are the hardware components: Motherboard: Asus RoG Strix z390-h Gaming CPU: Intel i7 8700k GPU: RoG Strix AMD Radeon Rx Vega 64 The issue: When trying to boot the system with the GPU we get stuck at a white LED on the motherboard indicating a problem with the GPU. When we take the GPU out the system boots normally with no problems. Now to try and troubleshoot this problem we have switched out the power supply. We tried switching the GPU out to an RX vega 56. And we tried the configuration out with an EVGA z370 ftw with no success what so ever. Both GPUs work in my build. (Ryzen 5 2600x, Asus prime x470) This has to lead me to believe that maybe it's just a compatibility issue with the CPU Motherboard and GPU in general. Although we did research compatibility to the best of our ability we are not really experts in custom pc building. Any help would be very appreciated.

Hello all, Introduction / Description: So this is my first build, I bought an Asus Tuf Gaming X570-Plus and everything was working great until after I had installed windows. This is when I went to relocated the computer to update it using the Ethernet cable, I placed on ground and moved cable from back of monitor and when I connected it no display, I am thinking to myself what the F it was just working. I moved back to the other room and noticed a white LED on the VGA light, and a green LED on the Boot Light, After doing some research online, I was informed that this may have been a bad mobo, but I feel that its not the mobo, being my 1st build I dont have anything to test with to narrow down the factors. Now when I plug the power on turn on the fans spins slow and the orange light comes on for Ram, after 2-3 seconds of that that the red light comes on for CPU, after like 2-3 seconds that light it changes to the VGA that is when all the fans kick on at a higher rate, the Lower fan on the mobo stops spinning and the after about 5 seconds a green light is on for the LED and it basically sits there for a while unitl i press just 1 time on the power button and the system shuts down completely. Components AMD RYZEN 7 3800x - CPU Asus Tuf Gaming X570-Plus - Motherboard radeon rx 580 gts - GPU (2) 16gb 3200 Vengence - DDR4 Ram Corsair CX650W Powersupply 2TB Seagate 3.5 Barracuda - SATA HDD 1TB Crucial - SSD Troubleshooting: I had removed the GPU - Radeon rx 580 gts I removed the Ram sticks I tested each Ram Bay to see if that is the issue and the light came on every time I re-seated all the cables by removing and re-placing (Not replace as swapping out but replace as take out and plug back in) I have not RMA the Mobo but I feel that may be my next step as this is a headache, after some research online i seen that this issue is with alot of people and that the board is basically a bad board :-( just my luck. Any suggestions would greatly help, Thanks in advance. IMG_8918[1].HEIC

Ok, Im building my computer in 2 days and want to change the color or my Geforce LED. I saw videos on this but for the 980 and was wondering if it was the same process. Like what tools do i need to get down to the logo. I was thinking to get the led out somehow and sand off the green paint like i saw people do before. I don't care about the warranty (Mainly because I bought this off ebay). since the founders is $700 i dont want to mess up the LED and not get the results that i desire. Any Guides that i can follow? Has anyone tried this on their 1080 yet? If so please link me or show me to a guide, otherwise i might just got off an old 980 guide and hope for the best. Will Post updates and pics after i do it, Thank you

Im looking to swap out some LEDs in my cars speedometer cluster. I found some guides but due to their age, links are broken. It seems all the LEDs on the cluster are a dim white, with a red film over everything, the plan is to replace all the LEDs with these which are brighter and selectively leave the red film in places. The problem is that link to those LEDs is old, and they aren't in stock. I know nothing about LEDs, so im not sure where or how to look for a LED that is the same. Anyone with some knowledge on this able to point me in the right direction? They will be soldered on this circuit board in the marked locations

Hello, and thanks for reading this already! I'm looking for some Quiet, White Led, PWM fans. I was looking at the Bitfenix Spectre LED PWM, but there's a lot of discussion on how good they are. Are they solid, or are there better alternatives? Thanks in advance!

Hello once again LTT forums, I have been known to ask for the impossible in the past and I have returned to do so once again. This time looking for a fullsize Ducky Shine 3 with green switches and white LEDs. I have been looking all over the place but no store that ships internationally seems to have them (live in the netherlands) Do you guys by any chance know where I can find one and/or how I might be able to get one. I know slick managed to get a "custom" ducky keyboard from one of the livestreams at some point, how did he manage to get it?
