Short version: I'm painting my GPU to be white to match my build and I want my gpu fans to match too. But, painting the fans will mess with it, which I dont want. So what do I do? Do I buy white fans? Do I paint them and deal with it? Or do leave them alone? I don't know! Long version: I have an XFX RX 5700 XT and I'm in the middle of giving it a white/silver themed custom paint job. In addition the to the shroud and backplate, I'd also like to have the gpu fans white to match the color palette (they are currently black). I've done some digging and from what I've found it can be a bit risky to do that because the paint will mess with the balancing of the fan and mess with the noise and such which I'd like to avoid. If that's the case, It looks like I have 3 options: 1) I buy some white gpu replacement fans to use for my graphics card. 2) I paint my current gpu fans and deal with the consequences. 3) I leave them as they are and deal with the mismatch. I'd really prefer to have the fans match the color scheme, but I'd prefer not to mess things up for my gpu. Any thoughts?

Hello! I just found a truly BANG for the buck graphics card in my country. It's a Zotac GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge OC White Edition for just 731.18€ (864.36 USD) (!!!!!!) It truly fits in my first ever white PC build. I have some questions tho - a) Is it a great card? b) Does it have great value? c) Are there better cards for cheaper? My country is Latvia and the website i use is salidzini.lv. It searches all of the online latvian stores for a specific item you put in the Search bar. I hope my choice is great, but if it's not, then I hope the alternative is same or better. Thanks in advance!

Other details Case: Lian Li o11d Mini (Snow Edition) Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5950x Ram: Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR 4 3200MHz - Shall I go higher speed? Graphic Card: Gigabyte Vision White / Asus ROG-STRIX-RTX3080 White or maybe even a 3090 (when prices drop / availability) - if the 3090 fits within the o11 mini? Storage: WD Black Pro NVME M.2 2TB x2 Fans: Lian Li Uni SL120 and SL140 Power: Silverstone SFX-L 1000W PSU QUESTION: Due to the size restrictions on the o11 mini, do you think its worth going for a Micro ATX and add a 360 AIO on top with 3xSL120 fans OR Standard ATX but add a 280 AIO on size with 2xSL140 fans? Note: I would prefer PCIe Gen 4 on all M.2 bays and obviously top slot too for my graphics card.

I need your opinion and help to see how i can optimize my build. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/4NbP9W My expectations for my build. - 1080p/fps high settings gaming (mostly League of Legends, Dota 2, and perhaps other games (because my current PC only allows me to play LoL on minimum settings)) - Streaming - Some soft to medium core programming and 3D modelling (nothing professional or intensive) - Must be below 1 month of minimum salary max - Upgradability is not a huge issue (I'm waiting for DDR5 for an overkill rebuild if I get into professional programming/3D modelling) Justifications for choice of parts

Hi guys, this is my first post on this forum. I want to build a 2000$ Computer! (Monitor, Peripherals, Windoes etc.) Aim: A Build that is completely white, in and put, inside an NZXT 340 case. Everything about this build should be white. I also want Apple peripherals (Keyboard and Mouse). The Build has to seamlessly fit into my office which also follows the white theme. I like the clean look of the Apple peripherals, but dislike Apple Computers, which is why I want this kind of build. It should have an R7 processor (1700 if possible). Thanks for any advice and potential build.

1. Budget & Location I am from the netherlands and my budget is 1600-1700 euro's (this is including a monitor which is probably going to be an ultrawide screen from lg which is about 350 euro's). 2. Aim It's going to be a gaming pc. 3. Peripherals A big mousepad like one of those that has your mouse and keyboard on it. Some led strips for on my desk, on the back of my monitor and in my pc. The case will be the nzxt s340 elite white which is 100 euro's here. 4. Why are you upgrading? My parents are getting a divorce so I will need 2 pc's. This is what I came up with (yes pricing in the netherlands is a lot higher this would be 1642,15 euro's): PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($234.99 @ NCIX US) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($24.88 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: MSI Z170A-G43 PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($138.55) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($88.99 @ NCIX US) Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($44.39 @ OutletPC) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.49 @ OutletPC) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($439.83 @ Amazon) Case: NZXT S340 Elite (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.99) Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: LG 34UM57-P 34.0" 60Hz Monitor ($316.77) Total: $1487.87 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-10-23 19:37 EDT-0400\ Updated list: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($234.99 @ NCIX US) CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H7 49.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($34.99 @ Newegg) Motherboard: MSI Z170A-G43 PLUS ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($138.55) Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($88.99 @ NCIX US) Storage: Samsung 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($51.99 @ SuperBiiz) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.49 @ OutletPC) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card ($439.83 @ Amazon) Case: NZXT S340 Elite (White) ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.99) Power Supply: Corsair CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Monitor: LG 34UM57-P 34.0" 60Hz Monitor ($316.77) Total: $1505.58 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2016-10-23 19:54 EDT-0400

Hey Guys/ Girls, I'm currently planning out my new rig for this summer, and I'm set on having a white and gold theme. I intend to purchase a range of Vinyl wraps such as Gold Carbon Fibre, White Carbon Fibre, Glossy Gold & Satin White. For the most part everything is white but my GPU really kills it with being full black. I'm considering wrapping it, it looks difficult to wrap the shroud as it has many accents an grooves but for the most part, you'll only be able to see the top. I've considered painting it but op not to as I'd rather no void my warranty but I'm thinking about wrapping the backplate in either Satin White or Carbon Fibre white. There are tons of options on ebay for cheap and they are intended for wrapping cars so I was wondering if anyone had any experience in doing this, it seems to be fairly simple and I don't believe I'd need a heat gun and I should be able to do this without voiding my warranty. I however also have an issue with heat, I'm aware that the vinyl is usually heated to be applied on cars, but its usually only heated to about 40 degrees celsius, does anyone have any idea if its is relatively safe to apply on the backplate of a GPU? I'd imagine it should be relatively safe as the backplate shouldn't be that hot but I just wanted to get your opinion. Any contribution would be appreciated Specs: Case: Corsair 400c White CPU: Intel i5 6600k GPU: ASUS Strix GTX 1060 Motherboard: ASUS Z170-AR Ram: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT White 8GB PSU: ??? HDD: ??? PS. I have also considered the ASUS Dual 1060 which is in all white, but it has a lower clock speed, no backplate and cost pretty much the same as a Strix 1060 where I'm from

I'm building a pc for the first time, and I've been using PC Part Picker to check for issues/incompatibility. But I'd like the compatibility to be checked from experienced pc builders before I buy or do anything because I'm afraid that the website or I may have overlooked something. I've done research on how to choose a psu, but I became confused and randomly chose the cheapest one from a list on the website. I think it may be important to add that I would prefer a fully modular psu. I would like to get custom cables, so it would be very helpful to me if you could list which cables I would need to purchase as well. I used the Cooler Master Power Supply Calculator and here are my results: Load Wattage: 375 W Recommended PSU Wattage: 425 W Also, just in case you wanted another source's estimate... PC PART PICKER Estimated Load Wattage: 392 Any advice or recommendations is very much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to help me out!

Hello guys I am thinking about building a PC with a white theme, but i cant decide if the white colored Corsair Vengeance LXP or the Corsair Whitr Led rams would look better on a Tomahawk Arctic mobo. Would appreciate any point of view. Thanks.

Yo! So, I'll be moving to a different country soon. For this, I'll dismantle my PC and bring the parts, then get a new case over there. I'm planning out my desk setup and I want to get a white PC case. Now, there's a few caveats. My motherboard is EATX, which limits my case selection a bit. Also, I plan on swapping it out later because I'm running Intel right now, and I have a GTX970. I've been itching to go back to the red team and this seems to be the perfect time to do it. BUT, I want to do a fully white build and apparently there's no white motherboards for the TR4 socket yet (If I'm gonna swap to AMD I want to get the very best they have, it'll be useful for my 4k video editing). Also, even among the white cases, most are still black inside, which is a no-no! So I guess it'll be a step by step white build. First I'm moving my current components inside a white case, and then I'll slowly swap out the internals for white stuff. I guess one route I could go is get black stuff with RGB lighting, but this will create more of a black/white theme. I'm trying to go fully white! Any suggestions?

So, the LMG Lan Center builds tickled my fancy a while back, and now with Zen2 out I figured it was finally time to retire my FX-8350 based build. However since there aren't really any Micro ATX boards available for x570 in my region I couldn't go with the 280x case, instead, I have settled on going with a bigger build in White. Here is the parts list of what I have decided on. I couldn't exactly afford to buy everything right away but I have started on buying parts piecemeal. I am still waiting for the DDR-4 memory to get shipped out before I can switch in the new Motherboard and CPU. I have also changed quite a few parts just to fit my own preferences and what I had available in my region and with the new platform however the concept of the build is still pretty much there. A x700X series AMD CPU in a Corsair Crystal White Case for an all white build with Corsair for an RGB ecosystem (and RGB Fusion to handle everything else that corsair doesn't make, hence why the GPU and motherboard are both from Gigabyte) Case Corsair Crystal 680X - Purchased Cooling Corsair Light Loops 120 Black x 3 (3 Front Intake) - Purchased Corsair Light Loops 140 Black x 2 (Top Intake) 1 Noctua NF-A15-HS PWM Chromax (White End Pieces) Rear Exhaust - Purchased 2 Noctua NF-A15-HS PWM Chromax (White End Pieces) Bottom Intake Noctua NH-D15 AM4-se - Purchased 1 Noctua NF-A15-HS PWM (Black End Pieces, Shroud painted white for in the NH-D15 - Purchased 1 Corsair Light Loops 120 White (Swapped the fan pads with the black ones from the rear fan that comes with the 680x, goes on the front of the D15 for RGB!) - Purchased Noctua Chromax White Covers - Purchased RGB & Accesoires Corsair Commander PRO - Purchased Corsair Lightning Node PRO - Purchased Corsair RGB LED Fan HUB x2 - 1 x Purchased Corsair RGB LED Lighting Kit Pro Power Supply Sharkoon Silentstorm Icewind 650w - Purchased Motherboard Gigabyte Aorus X570 Elite - Purchased CPU AMD Ryzen R7 3700X - Purchased Ram 8 GB Trident Z Neo 3600mhz Cl16 - Purchased M.2 Boot Drives Kingston A2000 x 2 (Raid 0) Hardrives Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM 2 TB x 2 - Purchased GPU Gigabyte RTX 2070 Gaming OC 8G White - Purchased However it seems like a crying shame to leave all these parts in their box while I wait for memory, so this afternoon I will be building my Crosshair Formula V and FX-8350 into the case to get started and swap out the new parts as they come in. Even so I am very much excited to get this build underway. Pictures will come as soon as I finish this afternoons building session. Edit 26-08-2019: So I Swapped around the planned fan setup a little after getting some hands on experience with the case, I didn't want to get a second RGB hub so with a limit of 6 RGB fans on 1 hub taking up RGB slot 2 on on the commander pro and the Lighting node pro with RGB strips going on RGB slot 1 eventually I should have all RGB on the front and top. two 140's look better on top then 120's so i switched those out to. for bottom intakes I added some more Noctua chromax fans and for the cooler I decided to go very white and painted the hub on one of my brown noctua's white, put the black caps from one of the chromax fans on there and switched the front fan out for a Single white LL120 to get some RGB on there and to make sure I could move it up higher to avoid conflicting with my RAM clearance. For the front glass panel, I am not really happy with the airflow that I'm getting from that, so I'm debating removing it in favor of a custom Acryllic piece. Photoshop design for the new front grill should be up shortly.

At the moment i'm planning a summer build that I can game and stream on. I feel this pc would last me a while streaming most games ( I mainly play stream and play CSGO). I couldnt find a completely suitable whiteish cooler (would prefer liquid cooling) and motherboard Im willing to pay around £2000, if anyone has any tips for these or any other parts of a white pc build they would be appreciated. Hello there! Here is a budget conscious build I did for a friend of mine. Corsair Carbide Air 240 Arctic White Corsair RM650x Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x8GB MSI B450 Mortar Titanium AMD Ryzen 7 1700 ASUS GTX 1070 Dual 2x Kingston SSDs 1x WD HDD This system was initially built in a hurry because it was needed quickly, but now it's back for the treatment it deserves As before, pictures say 1000 words: This thicc boi I used for the front panel connections is Paramax 1250 Type V paracord and was able to handle the 8 wires nicely. Here i was able to use the regular Paracord 550 type III since the wires for the front panel audio are much thinner. More to come...

If you're looking at this, you're a Saint and I'll cut to the chase: I just liquidated my PC since I have an 8086k lying around back from Intels giveaway earlier this year. So I'm going to be buying this motherboard (buying it for that Sweet Thunderbolt 3 IO) and I'm looking at white cases for this motherboard to call home. I'm doing white since I prefer the look and also I'm being cute by having a white case like my wife. I can spend around $100USD, but with the Techie's Holiday (Black Friday/Cyber Monday) right around the corner, the Bang for the Buck is gonna be a Lot better, so I will gladly keep my eyes on several cases in order to get the best one. My biggest conflict thus far is deciding how white + silver will look together, and would love anyones input in this regard. Other than that, I'm buying in the US, system will be air cooled however I can upgrade from my Hyper 212 if necessary for thermals, otherwise go crazy with recommendations.

You guys must be tired of these types of builds, but I wanted to give it a go because I might be buying a PC soon and I want to create a healthy and helpful discussion about this particular budget. I'm upgrading my pc from my really old rig that sports such amasing specs such as the extreme intel core 2quad and has a copious 6gb of ddr2 ram. I already upgraded my graphics card last year from, well nothing at all to a gtx 960 2gb strix from asus. I'm planning to buy the parts in early august this year so I have plenty of time to discuss and rethink. My plan right now is to build pc with a theme around white and black with blue LEDs but this can of course change The goal is to build a nice looking pc with the ability to play pretty much every game at decent fps. My budget is around 1200usd and that budget is for the parts of the pc excluding the graphics card because i allready have it and think it works good enough. The components and why i chose them specificly: The case: I chose the cooler master storm scout 2 advanced ghost edition because I'ts got a white and black colour theme and has handles so that I can move it around easily. Some things that i dont like about it is that it doesn't support dual radiator watercooling without mounting either the fans or the radiator om the outside and that's just not an option for me. Price:133usd Cpu: I have picked the Intel i7 6700k because I wont have to upgrade it in a long time and if it comes down to it I can overclock it. Price: 421usd Cpu cooler: The cooler i picked is the cooler master hyper 212 evo cooler and I chose it because it was cheap and I wont overclock the cpu and if i decide to do so in a couple of years I can buy a better one. A thing that really puts me of is that it really doesn't fit with the theme at all and I would really appreciate suggestions on a cooler with fitting colours Price:39usd motherboard: I have chosen the MSI KRAIT gaming 3X motherboard because it supports LGA1151 socket and DDR4 ram another reason is that it looks really nice with it's black and white colour sceme. Price:177usd RAM: I chose two sticks of crucial balistix sport ddr4 2400ghz 8gb. I chose these because I don't really need more than 16gb of ram and these ones were white fitting right in to my theme. Price:111usd (gpu: I'm going to use my "old" asus gtx 960strix because I allready have it. It doesn't really stick out to much with its own black and red theme but I am going to paint it white with plastidip spray paint. Price 233usd) PSU: i have chosen the seasonic M12II-620 EVO FDB Because it's modular and looks nice. It's 620w gives me some breathing room to upgrade my gpu to something like a gtx 980 ti in a year or two Price: 111usd Fans: I am going to buy two of corsairs 120mm quiet edition fans woth blue LEDs to complememt the two existing ones that is already included in the case. price: 16usd *2 Storage: I alreaddy have a 1tb drive of seagate 7200rpm and s 128gb ssd from intenso Total cost: 1024 usd I'm happy to discuss about the parts or just the build at whole. The part I am most unsure of is the hyper evo 212. people seem to want me to change the case but they are all sating different things so i made a straw poll to pick the case that fits the build the best. http://strawpoll.me/7022624

Hello there! I'm planning a pc build for myself and i am pretty excited about it so i would love to share this with you! I shall introduce myself a bit, i am a 24 year old cinematography student (final year) and specialise in editting and mostly color grading i work with programs like Premiere, After effects, Final cut pro and Davinci Resolve. Davinci resolve need some specific hardware and since i can't afford the pro version i am limited to use only one graphix card. I chose my components wisely beceause i want to make this pc a Hackingtosh(probably dual boot) but i also want to make it look really neat! For my case i went for the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe White, why you might ask? man look at that thing i fell in love with it! i will also add a led strip around the window to make it look even better! I found it quite hard to find the right motherboard for me since there are so many choises but after a while i found the perfect motherboard for this idea i had in my mind wich is: Asus z97 sabertooth mark-s. The cpu i will use was not so hard, this will be a intel 4790k. i have been thinking about dual cpu but that get's just waaaay too expensive and i also think it's too early for DDR4. The cpu cooler will be an Corsair h100i v2 with white tubing over the black tubes to make it match my build. For ram i am going with (4x8gyg 1866) Corsair dominator platinum, there was so much choice in ram so i just went for the ones that looked the best for me and they have white leds! i actually wanted to get the Avexir core series sabranco edition but they are unavailable sadly enoegh (if you might know how i could get them let me please know!) What graphix card i want to use im still not sure, i could go for the 980 TI Hybrid for slightly better specs and cooling or for the 980 TI Hall of Fame for better looks. Psu im still not sure i think some silent 800-850 watt with the ability to use custom cables, but you want be able to see the psu anyway so i dont really mind wich one. I wil add 3 ssd's in this system 1x 500gyg samsung 850 evo for software and os, and 2x 1tb samsung 850 evo in mirror to work from. there will be a dual ssd bracket so i can hide all 3 ssd's between the mobo and the backplate of my case. Don't worry about the storage i also have a NAS with plenty of it to store finished project's etc. Also i will add a blackmagic decklink mini monitor 4k when it will come out later this year for 4k sdi video output I hope i inspire some of you for this quite unique build! if you have any tips comments or other stuff leave them below! i will be happy to answer them! CPU: i7 4790K RAM: (4x8gyg) Corsair Dominator Platnium 1866 ghz GPU: 980 TI Hybrid -or- 980 TI Hall OF Fame (both 6gyg) Motherboard: Asus z97 sabertooth mark-s SSD: 1x500GB Samsung 850 EVO & 2x 1TB Samsung 850 EVO (in mirror) Case: Phantek Enthoo White Luxe PSU: Not decided yet CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i V2 I will add some led strips might change some fans & add some custom all white sleeves and tubes

Budget (including currency): 25 000 SEK / 3000$ ~ / 2500 Euro Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming pc with flawless fps that lasts for years, the visual graphic details in games is not the most important since I prefer performance > graphics. Playing CS:GO (300+ fps, playing at 1280x960 flawless without minimum imput lag) Exploring new games on higher graphics settings while still maintaining a high fps at 1920x1080 (such as MMO RPGs) A build that lasts 7-10 years without dropping to much in performance Streaming 1080p 60fps so the computer has to manage some workload without affecting the gameplay at any cost. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Also buying 240 hz benq monitor, mousepad and a new mouse so the budget could be overestimated a bit. A build that lasts 7-10 years without dropping to much in performance A complete white pc build Feel free to discuss, give advices and ask questions. Negative and unnecessary comments are avoided. Thank you! *Sample image*
