First here is the sound i managed to capture it in a Twitch Clip at approximately second 20 to end: Twitch Clip of the weird warning sound Does anyone have any Idea which program this could be? It mostly occurrs while streaming and playing demanding games at the same time. My System: Graphics: I am not sure if this is kind of a temperature warning maybe? But i don't have any warnings configured myself, MSI afterburner isn't installed Snippet of my autostart programs: I also tried to peek at the sound panel to see if I can spot the program which generated the sound but no luck so far. Would be great if someone can at least tell me where this is coming from to tackle or deactivate it

Games crash to desktop on new pc with no errors whatsoever
BlueZ95 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hey guys, maybe you can help me with this problem, I'm starting to lose my mind over this - Ryzen 7 5700g with Noctua NH-U12S Redux - Nvidia Gtx 1660 Super 6gb from Gigabyte - Msi b450 Gaming plus max - Corsair vengeance 16gb rs (2x8) 3600mhz - Thermaltake Smartlite 500w 80+ white - Thermaltake H700 tg snow Every game crashes to desktop (no error code, no black screen, no blue screen, the game just closes) after like 1 minute, or the game keeps playing but the image just freeze (The game is playable while this happens). Sometimes it runs for like 10 to 15 minutes, but it always crash. This is from more modern games like Nier Automata, Final Fantasy XV to less demanding games like Hollow Knight or Ori and the Blind Forest. I've tried: - Updating the BIOS - Disabling the onboard graphics - Restricted the PBO frequencies (Precision Boost Overdrive) in some cases this option goes over the limit of the cpu, and leds to the crash (This guy who seems to have the same problem explains it much better) - Reseating the gpu and the ram - Run memtest64 (pass) - Updating and installing older versions of Nvidia Drivers - Using HDMI and DisplayPort - Reinstall W11 - Install W10 - Reinstalling Games As a side note, I've run furmark with anti-aliasing off and no problems, but when running it with 8x MSAA Furmark crashed in like 3 seconds Thermals seems fine, maxing out to 65°-70°. I think it might be the psu (Which is low, I know), but it's such a mix of weird crashes and freezes and I'm 99% sure that a faulty psu would not crash a game, it would turn off the pc direclty. Might be a combination of both psu and graphics card? Where the gpu is not receiving the power it needs to run on heavy load? That would explain the crashes on heavy demanding games, but on low demanding games too? I just don't know Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks in advance!!- 21 replies

I have a bizarre idea that I can't get out of my head, now that my ancient desktop is dying and I need a replacement. Basically I'm planning a custom built case for an extremely portable, rugged PC, using a hard protective luggage box as a case, something like this: 1200 Protector Case | Peli Official Store. I move around a lot by motorbike, so having a powerful PC that can still fit into a backpack and not melt from vibrations would be a dream. I don't want a gaming laptop because they're lame and not upgradeable. Obviously issues to solve are vibration resistant mounting for the components, cooling, and just fitting everything in - but if I can lose the GPU, that will make everything much easier. So I guess my question is, are there any CPUs out there with integrated graphics good enough to play modern-ish games, do CAD and light AI workloads? I've read about the new Ryzen 7 8700G, will this be able to do it? I have a 1050ti dGPU currently so I guess a good benchmark would be, will it be able to match or exceed the performance of the 1050ti? Any other things I should worry about? (e.g I heard iGPUs use RAM as VRAM so high speed RAM is much more important, is that true?) Thanks for reading!

Hello, Okay... I need answers! So a while back I had a problem with my pc where it just hangs on the bios screen. Now I reseated the gpu cpu and ram. Re - ordered my ram into A1 and B1 so on... and didn't see any progress. Until I took out my hdmi and wifi dongle to see if any of my ports were acting up. So I found the problem. To this day I can't replicate the issue. (Luckily and unluckily) So today I had the same issue just came out of nowhere. So I was curious if it was the stupid wifi dongle and ohh to my surprise it was. Now why... is now my question. So I checked drivers and everything. Found nothing everything was as it should be. So where do we go from here. Is it my motherboard, ports, it shorting out , short circuiting. This confuses me. One last thing, I've tried MULTIPLE drivers! Any help, greatly appreciated!

i remember a video where linus puts a whol computer under miniral oil to cool it down. it had great thermal and looked awesome. but i always got bothered with the fact they left the cpu/gpu heatsinks on. like... wouldnt it be better to remove the IHS and gpu heatsink and directly let the oil touch the die? and just to be safe have a fan near the processor die to keep liquid moving. i would absolutely love to see this concept come to life. and if you like this idea to come to life. like this post and hopefully the team sees it as well

I was just browsing Reddit, and I saw this https://mcci.com . The company seems to make usb and iot dev tools, and some of them look a little.... overpriced. And the ones that don’t look overpriced look downright funky. I’ll be honest, I don’t have a clue what 90% of the words on the site mean, but a tiny 800 dollar USB-C switch in a blue laser cut acrylic housing, seems a tad absurd imo. I’m sure that somewhere in the chain the price is justified.... probably... Anyway. Some of the weirder and highly specific tools, seem like the kind of thing that Linus would appreciate making a video explaining the purpose of and why it’s so expensive (maybe Bc manufacturing volume is so low?). But if not, maybe some of the comments on this post will clear things up.

So I just used the windows media tool thingamabob to install a fresh copy of windows home 10 pro and went through the set up without a windows key because I was going to do it later but, and much to my surprise, when it was all said and done, there was no dreaded watermark. Yet, when I went to the windows activation settings it said I did not have a key. This is my first time building so I have no idea if this is normal or not. I'm asking because I already bought a key and can't return it. Will I still need it? Anybody know anything about this?

It started happening long ago but it got worse now and its beginning to bother me, when I'm playing games fans automatically goes up to about 60-70% and those sounds appear, If I manually set fans to like 50% or 75% that sound is gone. I've checked gpu 10 times nothing is touching the fans, removed it cleaned it and placed again, still no luck. You may say set fans manually to 75% well I could do but it gets pretty loud and I dont want that. Any suggestions? Link for sound https://files.fm/u/gajcrs9gx

Hello LTT Forum, first Post here out of necessity. I've had my PC for about a year now, and today my AIO started acting weird. It refuses to spin correctly, makes a weird clacking noise and my PC smells burnt. The smell is really strong too, but so smoke anywhere and no obvious damage on any component. I added a vid of my AIO during the startup sequence. YouTube Link because the file was too large: https://youtube.com/shorts/0tBGxr2Lw1E?feature=share

The stutter last anywhere from some ms to several seconds. (Couple of instances where the stuttering have lasted 20+min) The amount of stutter is proportional to the length of time after power on. The stuttering starts to become noticable after 6 ish hours. (While typing, and a stutter occur, the typed word takes a second before it shows up on screen.) Now, I have had this issue for a looong time, and decided to buy new components since im sick and tired of the really anoying bug/issue/fault, but to my surprise, the bug/issue have transferred over to the new system. What was brought over from the old setup: PSU: Cooler Master V1000 RAM: 2x8GB Trident-Z White/Black (F4-3200C14D-16GTZKW) GPU: RTX 2080 ROG Strix OC M.2: Corsair 970 EVO 500GB (Boot Drive) SSD: Kingston 480GB and a Kingston 240GB HDD: Western Digital 10TB Note: The ram is not on the motherboard qvl, but the motherboard is on the ram qvl. I did a fresh install of Windows on the new M.2 (Patriot Viper VPN100 512GB). The new ram 2x8GB Trident-Z RGB (F4-3200C14D-16GTZR). CPU/MOBO: 11700K and ROG Strix Z590-F The bug is still present without the ssd's and hdd. Since there is only 3 components that are the possible causer,(RAM, GPU and M.2) I can now try ruling out one after one to find the faulty hardware. Any knowledge and or discussion of this bug is appreciated.

Motherboards are the heart of any PC build, but while we take certain features and form factors for granted, specialty use and just plain bizarre system design means we get a few oddballs…

So I've been having this problem for some time now, but never really tried to fix it. As you can see in the screenshot below, my fps is at 90 constantly when looking at a demanding spot (full of lightning, effects, post-processing) and my GPU usage is sitting at 46% and my CPU 22%... how??? Shouldn't it try to go up to 144 fps while increasing the usage????? Its like my PC is just sitting there and saying "nah man i'm good". Meanwhile, when I look at a less demanding area (staring at a wall lmao) my fps goes up to 144 and my GPU usage goes up to 73% and my CPU usage up to 28% ... ????????????? This is the most confused I've been since I've started playing on PC. Is happens on EVERY GAME. Things I've tried: DDU + Latest GPU drivers, Motherboard Drivers, 2 different installations of windows (one when I bought the PC and one after I've changed a lot of things in it, same problem). My motherboard's BIOS are NOT up do date, they are 1 version behind, but in the update page there's no significant change regarding performance and usage, and I really don't wanna try to update my BIOS without really needing it. It's not that my GPU+CPU can't get high frames, it's just that they are choosing not to, they are not trying; this is the weirdest thing I've seen honestly. Also when I have V-sync activated (60hz monitor) and I'm at a demanding area, for example Novigrad (big city) in Witcher 3, my fps stays at 40-50 even tho my cpu + gpu usage are at like 30% each. I don't get it, I really don't. Does someone have experience with this? I'm hoping someone can help me with this :( RTX 2070 Super | I7 - 8700 | 16GB RAM | Gigabyte Aorus Z390 PRO-CF | Kingston 960GB SSD | Corsair CS (2017) 650W 80+ Bronze... Any help or suggestions are appreciated...

HI everyone, I need help as I am dealing with a weirdly behaving processor at the moment. I bought an i9 10900k used on leboncoin (french craigslist), it arrived in it's original box, everything seemed fine at the moment. When I installed it in my Gigabyte z490m gaming X the bios recognised the CPU as an i7-10700k. I updated the bios and checked the compatibility on gigabyte's website and despite off the 10900k being compatible it was stil recognised as a 10700k. I thought that I had been scammed and the CPU was relidded as it seemed to run a bit on the hot side. To check that I delidded it and it seemed to have already been opened as it was really easy to pop the IHS. But the weirdness starts here. I searched online for some images of the dies of the 10900k and 10700k. I was shocked to find that the CPU I had was indeed a 10900k, no mistake possible here I even mesured the die with callipers, (also the dies of the 10700k and 10900k are nothing alike). Oh and windows only sees 8cores and the 10900k has 10. I tried userbenchmark and I get the scores of the 10700k. What do you guys think is going on here ? If the cpu was bad why would it register as another completely different model ? Could the motherboard be bad and only detect 8 cores ? I have tried everything to understand this CPU but it is way to weird for me... Thanks in advance ! EDIT : added CPU-z screenshot 2nd EDIT : I am dumb and i misread some information about the dies, this is just a regular scam

Hello all, I've been having this issue for a while, but have not found an answer from my own troubleshooting, so I come to you. To start, I have a DSL bonded modem connection totaling around 75 Mbps down, and 15 Mbps up. I have an ASUS AC3100 Router as my home access point. Now, the question/issue. Since the 2.4 Ghz band is able to total 54 Mbps of service I should be able to (more or less) "max out" the speed of my 2.4Ghz Wifi, and then get my full 75 Mbps speeds on my 5Ghz wifi network, BUT I am not seeing this. The largest speed that I have saw on my 2.4 network is only 35 Mbps, or around half of the total speed I can recieve (wether on a weird or 5G connection). Interference asside, as I have removed all of the factors I can in my testing, it does not change. Why is this happening? And how do I fix it? Thank You!

Soooo uhm..., yesterday, I discovered my pc is behaving strangely after I connected my Corsair Aio per USB to my motherboard. Ever since, my CPU clock is just going up and down - especially in CS:GO when it just drops to 0,79 GHz - and my GPU temps just being higher as usual. The day before yesterday there weren't ANY problems whatsoever: No weird clock drops and no unusually high GPU temps. For example: under no load (like 5-10%) on desktop with Wallpaper Engine on, I usually had between 35-45°C GPU. Now even without Wallpaper Engine on, my GPU is between 50-60°C hot. Another example: When I play Minecraft with shaders OFF, I reached about 71°C peak. I usually have that temps with shaders on. Also my CPU isn't behaving normal: Before yesterday, it clocked completely normal (i7-9700K - 3.6 GHZ - 4.sth GHz). Then I have changed my power options to "High Performance" (not Ultimate) - but eventhough my CPU clocked higher than normal after that there were no issues whatsoever. But THEN yesterday, I decided to connect my Corsair H115i RGB PRO XT Aio via that USB cable to my motherboard to make it adressable in iCUE. After I did tha, I just updated everything in iCUE, Armoury Crate and Dragon Center, because there were some updates avalible. I thought everything was normal - UNTILL I started playing CS:GO. Then the problems started to occur. I immediately started to make an antivirus scan, but there wasn't anything that seemed to be harmful ans the reason for that behaviour. (Extra note: As I'm writing and not having any programs opened except for Opera GX and Task-Manager my GPU is at 60-61°C at really 0%) i7-9700K, MSI GeForce RTX 2060 Super Gaming X, Corsair H115i RGB PRO XT, ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming (The PC isn't even 4 months old) PLEASE HELP I AM TERRIFIED HAHAHA

Heyo So I bought this Chinese mini ITX X99 board for a project I'm working on, and it claims to have an LGA 2011-3 socket (see attached image). However, all the googleing I can find says that those cutouts in the pin array are exclusive to Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge EP CPU's, which are the LGA 2011 socket, not LGA 2011-3. But, I bought an i7 3930k CPU for it, just to see if a LGA 2011 socketed CPU would work (It's a Sandy Bridge), but no, the keys are different. As they should be if it was a true LGA 2011-3 socket. But LGA 2011-3 socket CPU's don't have the pin cutouts, as far as I can tell. See attached images to look at what I'm talking about. The first one is the "LGA 2011-3 Socket," the second is the i7 I have, and the third is an actual 2011-3 chip (a Xeon E5-2530 V4) Bottom line, I need help figuring out what exactly I have and what I can do about it.

Hello everyone, i have a strange one for you today. So recently i was talking to my friend and we were talking abouyt our pcs etc and i went into task manager and it told me i was running at 4.3 ghz. I can tell you now i have never overclocked my cpu, and ngl i dont rlly know how to. I installed some other CPU software to make sure it wasnt false readings and CPU-Z also told me it was running at 4.3 ghz. has anyone else had this happen to them. Also i am running with the stock cpu fan so idk if this is false readings or whether it is actually running at 4.3 ghz. if so should i turn the cpu speed down or leave it. And finally could it mean i have just gotten a good rlly gd silicon chip or sommet im just rlly confused ngl. I have added some images to show you and the speeds on the images fluxuate between 4.0-4.3 ghz. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help
