Hi guys! My name is George and I'm new here so I apologize in advance if I'm doing this wrong. I have some weird behaviors with my PC. I do have to say it was a prebuilt I bought about an year ago from one of platforms from my country (much like Amazon for you guys I guess?) and I confess, I would've built it myself but time wasn't something I had so I went with this one. Here's a list with my specs (some are taken from their product page or tools such as CPU-Z/GPU-Z/CrystalDiskInfo, I will also provide some screenshots): Case: Middle tower ATX (I don't really know the brand/name of this one, but I will provide a screenshot); Motherboard: ASRock H510M-HVS R2.0; CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F (the one without on-board graphics); GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB, rebar enabled by me; Memory (RAM): 2x16 GB G.Skill DDR4-3002 (1501 MHz) *taken from CPU-Z tool), XMP 2.0 enabled by default; Storage: Apacher AS340 with 480.1 GB; TOSHIBA HDWD320 with 2000.3 GB @7200rpm; Unfortunately, when I bought the PC I didn't check to see if the mobo had any M.2 slots (spoiler alert: it doesn't) so I had to install an expansion card in the only x1 slot left available into which I installed an M.2 KINGSTON SNV2S2000G with 2000.3 GB; Power Supply: Tacens-anima APB550, 550W 80+ Bronze (I believe here is where I should've checked beforehand as well, haven't heard of the brand. I also believe this might be the problem); Back to my issue: whenever I power up my PC, no matter how many times I press the power button, it won't boot. What I do is unplug it from the wall, wait a few seconds, plug it back in, wait a few seconds again and the press the power button. It boots up but another weird thing happens (not always, which is really strange to me) which is that it stays powered but won't post. Sometimes it restarts itself and will post and goes into Windows, some other times it won't post, goes in like an idle state but the PC stays powered or restarts and still won't post. I checked to see if my GPU is properly seated, checked RAM sticks, swapped them around, but this behavior still happens. Have any of you encountered this? If so, did you find a culprit or have any idea what's going on? My bet is the shady Power Supply but I would like to hear your guys' suggestions. Thank you for the help and patience!

Intro Hopefully I find the answer to my issue and perhaps maybe it will help others as well who experiences this issue, as I could not find anything on the internet close to my problem. I will post my specs and also what I attempted to do to fix this all the way below. I've tried my very best to troubleshoot this issue, but there's literally no sign of anything wrong anywhere... I even asked repair services near me about this and nobody can help me. The Problem Basically, once every 2 to 4 months, my computer starts freezing up like crazy. Nothing responds anymore. It can occur when I just booted it, but it can also occur late at night before I go to bed. Then, what I do is I shut it down. If it happens in the morning, I just reboot it straight away. When it happens late at night, I go to bed and the next morning I boot it up again. Upon reboot, I see my ASUS logo and the loading dots... then black screen. Basically, I can access the BIOS but nothing else. In the bios, everything seems fine. It sees my hard drive, cpu, ram, etc everything looks good. But now the weird thing is... the more times I reboot, the more I "advance" to booting up Windows. So for example, when you reboot it a few times, I can get to the Troubleshooting screen... screenshot 1 But then what happens is if I click on "Troubleshoot", it would freeze AGAIN. Can't do anything. So I restart the process etc... and over time, the more I restart, it would freeze at the next step. Example: After getting to this (screenshot 1) screen 20 times and freezing, eventually the 21st (random number btw) time I can get pass it. So now I'm in the advanced options (screenshot 2). screenshot 2 Then same thing, it freezes. After 100 more attempts, I eventually manage to boot in safe mode. By that time, it took around 2 hours of simply rebooting back again. In safe mode, same thing, it would get stuck. Eventually, I can get through. Once I'm in safemode on the user login screen, everything is unresponsive. Keyboard, mouse, freezing like crazy. After rebooting times and times again... (probably at 3-4 hours mark by then), I can eventually log in safe mode. Once I'm logged in safemode, I reboot my computer and everything is perfectly normal like nothing ever happened. All it takes is rebooting... a lot of rebooting. No matter what I do, nothing works. Only rebooting does. What I tried - Unplugging every single device from my computer (USBs, mouse, keyboard, headphones, etc...) - Once I eventually get to windows, I run these commands "sfc /scannow", "chkdsk", "DISM" and everything is fine. - Also ran memtest64, everything is fine. - Event Viewer in Windows gives me a bunch of critical error but these are all the same and doesn't say anything ("Task Scheduling Error: Continuously busy for more than a second" and "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first" and things about the system being slow & freezing for unexpected reasons). - Unplugging the computer completely for a minute and reboot it again. I also tried to boot from my USB drive to see if it worked, but I always ended up booting on my nvme instead, even though I specifically selected the USB drive in the bios, and by the time I did that anyways it was already too late. Thoughts At this point, I suspect either Windows 10 failing on me, or my nvme to be failing for some odd reason. In the case of Windows 10, I don't know why rebooting it doesn't fix the freezing, perhaps windows 10 is able to keep some state/data running even though my computer has no power? In the case of the nvme, usually if it was the nvme it wouldnt happen once every 2-4 months. It would be more regularly and I'd even say it wouldn't be booting at all. It's annoying because since it happens so "rarely", it's very difficult to troubleshoot accordingly. Hi, I have a pavilion g6 hp laptop and i am getting frustrated with this issue. when the laptop is turned on the keyboard works fine every key except the arrow down key I am fine with that but after 10mins or so the keyboard stops working.. but weirdly the functions keys keep on working. Once the keyboard stops working the only way to make it "work" is to hard reset the laptop: Take the battery out take any charger out and press the power button for 90 secs. This method works but the cycle repeats when its loaded into windows it works for the same amount of time right before it stops working.. The keyboard doesn't work in bios as well I did connect a external keyboard and that seems to work all the time I also reseated the keyboard cable that connects to the motherboard but that didn't work I am not sure what's causing the problem I know for a fact that the keyboard works because it works for 10 minutes. Hi I have bought a used motherboard and when I got it it was in its original box and it's anti static bag with no extra packaging to protect it ( I live in France this thing came from the other side off the country keep that in mind for later) So I put it in my system and then when I press the power button all fans start spinning RGB turns on everything is normal but then , no post on the screen and and the CPU led on the motherboard is on but my CPU is good because I took out off my old motherboard and it was working and after all this I put my pc back to how it was before and everything was working fine. So there's something wrong with this motherboard my CPU is a ryzen 5 2600x and my old motherboard is a Asus prime a 320 mk and the one I bought is a Asus Rog Strix b 450 f gaming it's ryzen 2000 series compatible so no bios update needed so idk . Do you guys have any ideas off what I could try ?

Hello. I'm trying to edit a video in Sony Vegas Pro 13, however, the preview keeps glitching out, showing inverted colours and all sorts of weird things. What happens is that I click a part of the time line and it does the strange things I described. Here's a gif of what I mean. https://gyazo.com/80543fee346d071553fec5d4aee7452f (this gif is a bad example but the issue is very, very annoying) If I let the video play about 10 seconds before the part that was glitchy, it is no longer weird. Is it a scrubbing related problem? Here's a screenshot of what is seen when I click on a part of the timeline Here is a screenshot of when I pause it on the glitchy scene but I played the video 10 seconds or more away from the glitchy scene. (how it's supposed to look) I have checked the raw file that was recorded in OBS and there are no strange happenings within the video. It is only when I try to edit it in Sony Vegas. I have 2 drives, one's much slower than the other (only supports SATA2) but the issue persists when the raw file is from either drive. Is Sony Vegas the issue? Or is it the drives or hardware (CPU or GPU?) Help is appreciated, thanks.

So my grandmothers computer broke down, turns out someone messed with it and placed the graphics card in a different PCIE slot, so I fixed it and it worked until we turned it on, we plugged in the mouse through USB and it lit up but it wouldn't show the cursor on the screen, the keyboard wouldn't light up at all, and the external HDD I plugged in lit up, I checked whether or not it works on my own desktop, and they all work perfectly, can anyone explain to me why this is happening or provide a solution? Thanks.
