I was curious to find out at what age do members of this forum feel they are at their peak age or the typical phrase 'Over The Hill'? Mine was around 48 years of age and I don't know why but that was the Over the hil age for me.

Hello , I saw in a LTT video that they were replacing stock 1.5 volt battery in G305 with a AAA lithium ion battery for reducing weight and improving battery usage. Lithium Ion batteries have 3.7 volts. Doesn't that damages the mouse ? Edit : they were using lithium cell not lithium ion

Hi so I am thinking of ordering some stuff from rode I just found out I get a pretty good price on their products through work and have been wanting a Rode PSA1 for a while now, so I thought id pull the trigger. Currently I use a Blue Yeti that I was going to use the PSA1 with (also got a good deal on that I love my job) as I was looking over the Rode accommodation form I though maybe I would get a podcaster as well and try it out. Now for the Question! I found an adapter that will let you use 2 mics at the same time on 1 mount and thought it would be cool to mount them both together so I could use them side by side...for reasons well I'm sure I could come up with a use for it but it seems cool. would the PSA1 be strong enough to hold both mics at the same time or am I asking for 2 broken mics? Both mics with their respective shock mounts seem to be around the advertised weight limit of the PSA1 but I am not sure how accurate that number really is. Dose anyone have any advice, suggestions or ideas?

Will this Case https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16811133328 be too heavy for the average desk? The desks I was looking into buying are: https://www.amazon.com/Tribesigns-Computer-Heavy-Duty-Simple-Workstation/dp/B071KFHT7G/ref=sr_1_66?ie=UTF8&qid=1499373695&sr=8-66-spons&keywords=computer+desk&psc=1 and https://www.amazon.com/Tribesigns-Modern-Simple-Computer-Workstation/dp/B06XVQJSCL/ref=sr_1_33?ie=UTF8&qid=1499372894&sr=8-33-spons&keywords=computer%2Bdesk&th=1 Everything else for my new build is planned out. But I just realized this thing might literally be too heavy to be supported by a desk. What do you guys think?

Hi guys, I'm planning on a gtx 1070 build, using a normal mid tower and an Asrock H170 Pro4/Hyper mobo. My question is: Is the ZOTAC 1070 Amp Extreme too heavy for such a build? Will it bend my mobo's PCIE slot after a long time? If yes, i'm also looking at a few other alternatives: 1. ZOTAC 1070 Amp (no "Extreme", dual fans; unfortunately, the ZOTAC 1070 Mini is not sold where i'm living); 2. Gigabyte 1070 G1 (triple fans) 3. Asus 1070 STRIX (no OC, triple fans). What's the best alternative to the Amp Extreme here, should it be too heavy?

Yesterday i got my Galax Hall of Fame 1080 and it is so big that it nearly fits in my NZXT H440. I needed to built out one of the storage trays so that it can fit. My question is now: Also delivered was an supportstick for the gpu to prevent sagging but the only ways to get use of it is to build the mount on the front (where it looks extremly ugly) or on the side where i need to get rid of all the storage trays. I have 2 SSDs which i can put on the bottom on the case but i also have a HDD which I needed to get rid off when i want to put the supportstick on the side. I have the fear because of the weight that the gpu will damage my motherboard. So do i need the support stick, any other mount solutions or other things that could help me?

I live on the second story of a building which has 6.5" thick concrete (I couldn't get any other specs on the concrete) reinforced with 1/2 inch rebar. So I have a 1,154 lbs (GHB-1340A With CBS-1340A Stand) lathe and a 2,420 lbs (JTM-4VS Variable Speed Vertical Milling Machine 230/460V 3Ph) milling machine and various tools and parts (Mostly electronics parts some machining parts (tools, stock metal, hand tools, some power tools) and some lab glassware and some miscellaneous tools and stuff stored on desk drawers and overhead shelves) etc adding up to 750~800 lbs. Now can I store these on the second story? (I have one room as a work space) The room is 160 sqft. Can I store the lathe and the milling machine? Because, I have no choice other than this. If this doesn't work I have to stop working and sell the lathe and the milling machine. Thanks in advance

Hey guys, My current case is 22kg without the rest of my components. Altogether it's atleast 40kgs+. Anyway, I'm just looking for recommendations on a light-weight ATX case. Something premium with all the bells and whistles. Cheers

Hi, I'm planning to buy a combo on Newegg existing off: Asrock Extreme4 Z370 - Motherboard i5 8600k - CPU Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000MHZ - Ram/Memory Link to the Newegg combo: https://goo.gl/i2G6E8 I am from Sweden and I am gonna ship this using an external shipping site to ship it to me for a better price. To make that happen on some websites I need all the dimensions of Height, Length, Depth and Weight and some only require weight. Is there someway I can measure the weight of the items. I don't know if the items will be shipped separate boxes or all in one. It might be different for this one specifically since it's a combo. It's probably hard to measure the exact weight of the item and there's no way to know the weight of the shipping box as well. What I'm looking for is people that have any knowledge about: The weight of i5 8600k (not the actual processor) either the weight of the box with the CPU and even better if including the shipping box and even better then that if it's a Newegg shipping box. The weight of the Asrock Extreme4 Z370, either the weight of the motherboard and even better if it is with the motherboard box and even better than that if it is including the shipping box and even better then that if it's a Newegg shipping box. (Sorry for writing in a mess). Like the previous one but this time with the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB, So the weight of them even better if it's with the box, even better then that if it's including the shipping box and once again even better if it's a Newegg shipping box If a Newegg combo comes with 1 single box or separate. Someone that has purchased maybe this exact combo or something similar on Newegg or other, and of course one of the items (if someone has them). I would also be really happy if someone could recommend a good and importantly cheapest way to ship it from the US to me in Sweden. Happily recommend sites to use for this external shipping and one's not to use. Some I am currently looking at is: https://www.myus.com/ https://www.shipito.com/ www.borderlinx.com I also have 2 uncles in the US that can help with this and ship it to me, but it is only relevant if it's cheaper. I know this is a lot of question but it will really help me Thank you in advance.

Hi! in the last days, i've seeing a little bending on my Asus 970 Strix caused by the weight, and, although this strix version comes with a backplate to prevent the excessive bending and other things, i will not aprove any risk on a 360€ tech product... for this reason, i decide to make a support plate that will not break out with the esthetics that i like on my rig.... this is my first "bad" solution to this problem: hahahahaha... yes, a little wooden stick to save the €360 graphics card life, lol :-) Well, hands to work, i see the free standoffs on the backplate of the MB, and i think use this to support any kind of support angle in the back: With that in mind, checking a bit around home and find this little aluminium angle from another project... painted this and drilled a hole to adjust the height, thinking on a near future change to a 980TI and be able to fit it with the support plate... The supporting mode, was trying to insert this piece under the backplate to support the graphics card with this, after all, this is the purpose of this. Testing this idea and attaching to the MB backplate: And, finally... putting the VGA to show off the final result... thank you for watching this, and let me know your opinions about that DIY little mod. From the peace of my house, be happy and lets play! Note: NEVER! touch the Graphics card MB with a metallic or conductor thing!, note that i was inserting this in the little space between the Backplate and the MB of the graphics card... this is only supporting from the metal of the backplate, is not pasted or drilled to hold the graphics card, only screwed to the case and slide the card to the PCI-E slot, adjust the support plate to the corresponding height and... voilá.

Hey i have a small dilemma... I'm planning my dreamtrip to Japan, now i am looking for a handy ultrabook to bring along for editing a few pictures there (and also on the plane for entertainment ofcourse) After looking for a while i came upon the Zenbook series from ASUS. The dilemma i'm facing is take the ultra portable version with the Core M series or Get more power (and a bit more weight) with the I7 series in it Pro's Core M: Lighter, more battery life (almost half a centimeter thinner) Pro's I7: More power The amount of weight i can take on the plane is also limited (10KG) Bag + DSLR + 2 Lenses= ~6-7KG So yeah, the Core M series looks very interesting, but i have no idea how it preforms in Lightroom (35MP images, light editing of colors/white balance/etc.) I do it on a ASUS Transformer T100 right now (but its soooo sloooooooow) What would you guys do?

Hi everyone. I'll be upgrading to Skylake next month, and the plan is to get a ASUS Z170-A motherboard, an i5 6600k and a Noctua NH-D15 cooler. The D15 is quite heavy with both fans installed, and I've seen some people saying that the Z170-A is a very thin and 'weak' board. Will the weight of the D15 cause any problems with this motherboard, or is it nothing to worry about?

Hi, Tomorrow I'm taking delivery of some 295x2s, and if anyone can supply a weight figure for the card and the radiator that would be grand! If it makes a difference the card brand is XFX. Thanks.

I don't know much about bodybuilding or weight loss, and my friend asked how he could lose some weight, so i came to the LTT forum because everybody is a genius. My friend is like 150 pounds, 15 years old, and 5'8". He wants to burn 5 pounds of Fat, not just water weight, per week. Being a teenager and not in his 30s I think it's possible. What type of food should he eat, and what should he do. Thanks,

Hey all, I have a dilema. I have a v3-571g (4 gig RAM version, not 8 gig RAM), love the thing, has served me well. But one problem that has been bugging me recently. SIZE, WEIGHT and HEAT. Performance of this, awesome, this machine, awesome but the size has just got to me. I'm about to build a pc in a Silverstone RVZ01 so i can take my pc to my friends house and will render this lappy useless as the position of this lappy is it is portable enough to take to my friends (what my PC will now replace) but not portable enough to sit on the couch. So I wanted to replace this lappy with something of equal power but like an ultrabook but everything is do damn expensive. I need help to find a lappy that fills these requirements. Dual Core 2.0GHZ upwards SSD GTM 630M or above Any help is thankful

Hey guys I am planning on getting a fractal design arc mini r2 for my first PC build. I would like to take it to LAN's occasionally and I want to know how heavy it is and how practical it would be to carry it around. It weighs around 9kg without any components inside but I would like to know how difficult it would be to move around.

Good Afternoon, I know and I have seen them once. There were a support bracket which was screwed in with the card and helped with the weight. I was wondering where can I find this? NO WIRES and NO JACKS.

Hi, I'm starting this topic to find out how many people here prefere a heavier and how many a lighter mouse. What's your prefference? Do you like heavy or lightweight mice? Please explain reason of the choice. Thank you.

I apologize for the confusion in my previous post. Feel free to delete it. I have injured my right wrist in a basketball accident and am now stuck to only using one hand for typing. On my desk I have 3 IPS monitors for surround gaming and work. I also have a 24 inch benq monitor (xl2420te) which I am running out of space for. I use that monitor primarily for competitive gaming so I don't constantly need it, but when the time comes I honestly prefer not to having to take it out and put connect it etc. I have the old bulky ps3 on my desk I couldn't fit it anywhere else so I was wondering if anyone would suggest putting my monitor ontop of my ps3. Will it damage it in any way? I shouldn't really be concerned about this since I can't use both hands, but since school's starting in a week I don't want to have to organize my room when classes start. Luckily the man who victimized my body during the game (also a close friend of mine) agreed to pick the stuff up for me. With that said yay or nay? anyone had experience with the ps3's build quality?
-
I am only wondering because I have 3 acer monitors right in front of me and a 24 inch benq monitor that I only use for competitive gaming. My ps3 is also on my desk (the original big bulky one). God knows a wii u and an old 360 cannot hold that, so would I be better off just adding another shelf on my wall or would putting it atop my ps3 be a safe bet?
