Okay... So I've had this problem ever since I've built my first PC... I've noticed it in most of the games I've played, tried almost everything, read every forum, watched every YouTube video, asked every friend i know... And still, no solution... My PC specs: Ryzen 7 3700x Asus RX5600XT DualTop 6gb Corsair 2x16gb ram (32gb total; speed: 3200Mhz) Asus rog strix B450f-gaming Thermaltake Berlin 630W ATX Crucial BX500 SSD 480GB (windows 10 only) Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB (games i play) WD Blue HDD - 2TB (pictures, music, random stuff...) ASUS VG249Q (24") FHD 144hz The problem: My GPU wattage and GPU % usage drop at the same time which results in a massive fps drop, and sometimes makes the game unplayable... I could game for 5 hours with no problem, but tommorow the same game will be unplayable because of the wattage drops... I have recorded MSI afterburner while playing, and the wattage is the first thing that drops, then the GPU usage, because it obviously doesn't have the power to run at 100% anymore... Than, I get hit with a massive fps drop... As bad as from 200 to 30... It drops for a second and then works normally again for abou 20-30 seconds, then does the same thing again... More information about my PC: Temperatures: GPU temperatures all stay below 65 °C CPU temperatures stay below 70 °C What i tried: -Reinstalling windows 10 -Updating BIOS -Updating GPU drivers -Updating chipset drivers -Overclocking my components and going back to default/stable clocks -Reading other forums/ watching youtube videos about the problem i have (no one had a solution) -Obvious stuff like windows optimisation, changing power plans, searching for viruses... -Changing the drive where the games are stored -Vsync off/on -Stress tests for all components = always resulting in perfect score What i think the problem is: The power supply... I want to buy a new one, but i don't want to spend the money, and still have the same problem I have had before... If you need any other deatails please say so, because this has been bothering me for a couple of months... I have a strong PC, but my friends with an old laptop have a more stable experience... I seriously need all the help you can offer... Its getting annoying...

What is the best watt checking meter for high and low wattage. Accuracy is a must. Also would like a detachable face screen like the roosewill one. And price is not factor added a picture of the roosewill meter(mine was stolen)

I know PC part picker says there's an estimated 341 watt usage, but I wanted to know it that's true enough even for a 6 year old power supply.

Hi Gamers, Linus-lovers, and PC Enthusiasts. I'm looking to upgrade my rig to a better GPU, I've been stuck on this decision for a while, and I need some advice. If you have any tips, or prior experience please advise! I have done some research behind PSUs, and I am aware wattage is not everything, but I am not hugely smart when it comes to Power Supplies. I was thinking a GTX 1660 Super or a 1060 6gb would be a good pick. Is this doable with my current rig? I really appreciate any help on this. I wanted to know if 450w is enough headroom for a 404w system? Also what about getting a power supply with too much wattage, like how much more wattage can a power supply have before it can be dangerous for the computer?

Hello everyone! So I've been doing a bit of research on which PSU to get for my new pc. First choice was Seasonic Focus Plus 550 Gold, however it seems that the RMx PSUs get even better reviews. I then stumbled upon the G750H from Gigabyte, which seems to get decent reviews and it costs 40 % less than the other PSU's The problem I have is that I can't find an efficiency curve for the G750H, so I'm wondering if it will still be fine with my setup. Setup: CPU: i5-9400F GPU: Gigabyte 1080 G1 Gaming RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8 GB 3200 MHz Storage: 1TB M.2 evo 970 plus I hope someone out there knows way too much about PSUs and efficiency curves and has the time to help me out ^^

Hi guys, so my old COUGAR SL 600w psu killed my mobo , so I'm planning to buy a new one. The Seasonic S12ii 620w psu caught my eyes since I'm on a tight budget. Will this be enough to provide power to all of my components or should I grab a higher watt psu? I know about PC part picker and some power supply calculator websites (thanks to Linus) that can show the approximate watts that my system could draw .
