I'm looking to put something together soon and it will be my first custom loop. After some research I found that Barrow and Bykski are the two big water cooling brands in China and a loop can be comparable in price to a Lian Li Galahad 360 (or at least that's what I'm telling myself). I read it's recommended to get Barrow fittings and everything else from Bykski. Is this still the case? Are Barrowch 14*10 Normal temperature type PETG Tube blue safe to use? I read that adding colour to the liquid can result in sediment and gunk so this seems like a good solution. Reservoir pump combo (D5) vs Distroplate pump combo (DDC) - the distro plate looks good for routing. This price is similar so which is recommended? I read that D5 pumps are much more reliable but I see the distro pump combos are also pretty popular. I can also buy the distro plate without a pump if the D5 will be that much better. Some people were also recommending Laing/Xylem/Lowara DDC 18w pumps instead of the Granzon PWM DDC Add-on Pump with Digital Display 12V that can come with the distro plate? Link to the distro plate The specs of the Granzon PWM DDC pump are below. Specifications Material: Aluminum (not in contact with coolant) Pump Core: CP-D3PB-X RPM: 1800-4800 Power: DC12v Flow Rate: 700L/h Head: 6M Connector: 4-Pin Molex and PWM+ data feedback

Hey guys, i got myself an entry 144hz monitor (this one: Sentey MS-2401), i have an nvidia gtx 980 from zotac connected through Display Port. My question is, this monitor is freesync ready and g-sync compatible, i've seen it work in a few reviews that are available, but the g-sync option doesn't appear on my nvidia control panel, and as far as i now it should be working with no problem, any ideas? i've updated the drivers, used DDU to clean install them again and it still doesn't appear there.

I wanna upgrade my 780 SLI config. The budget is very loose and I'm thinking to go as high end as possible, but Titan XP SLI is too expensive. So I was looking for opinions here 1080 SLI, Titan XP or wait for 1080ti SLI?

so here's a thing that just happened about an hour ago. i was using my daily driver Galaxy S7 like i normally would. checking Facebook i think. anyway, all of a sudden, the thing turns off. >wat naturally, i try rebooting. it booted up like always, and got me to the screen where you have to enter the code to unlock the sim card. i tap the screen once, and suddenly the image distorts and the thing enters a bootloop. >wat me being me, i try to enter recovery. no luck, recovery just hangs untill i force reboot the thing. then it just enters the bootloop again. so i try entering ODIN mode next. lolnope, screen distorts, bootloop. >wat suddenly, it hangs on the samsung logo for about 5 minutes, not responding to any input whatsoever, and then dies. >WHAT!? at this point, i lost hope. i tried plugging it into my PC, nothing. i plug it into the charger, nothing. i try several chargers including QI, nothing! i now realise i'm in some serious shit. i contact my provider, and they only tell me i need to contact samsung directly. i check out samsung's website, and they closed the customer support lines 3 minutes ago. so yeah, does anybody have any experience with a phone just putting it's firmware through the blender like this? because i've never had this happen before!

I was wondering what would happen if you just painted your motherboard. Like you just took a can of red spray paint and had a fun time lol. Or your CPU as well. And I don't mean the boring top side. I mean you painted the bottom part. But also, like, still painted the top as well lol

Okay, I might be in the completely wrong section here, but photography and videography seems relatable to PNG files ye? Problem I have is this. My dear sister, who is far far away right now, she saved ALOT of her photos on one of my external SSDs. These are important photos for her, she´s a professional photographer and this was some photos of particular importance, that she would preferably keep. This SSD has from absolutely nowhere gone and gotten itself semi-corrupted. Some files on it works no problem, most don´t work at all, and a fair bit of them just turn up as 90% corrupted photos. And I am not very good with this recovery thingy, I´m a hardware guy and that´s it. I tried googling on PNG corruption recovery, but it all looks to me like veeeery fishy programs that I don´t think I want in my PC. Anyone know any sweet way of atleast have a small chance of recovering SOME of the photos atleast? Preferably free, but eh, I could go and throw some money at it in worst case.

Hell good people, So I started working at a new company that has a WiFi network dedicated to private devices where ppl can connect and use it for whatever... And ofcouse to save some mobile data I tried connecting to it. My college showd me how to do it on his iPhone and it worked, then I tried on my Samsung galaxy S9 and it can't connect due to CA certificate missing??.. Not sure what it is or how to get it. Picture below. Any ideas?

Yep. After seeing this pic, I couldn't help but laugh. But that got me thinking; Is it actually viable and is there any risk of damage from, say condensation? Being that I use my laptop in an air-conditioned room with temperatures around 73 degrees F and that I tend to live in tropical climates and that said laptop has a cooling pad with fans positioned directly under the vents, I was curious and I searched up. Found this; Source: http://www.overclock.net/t/1407430/guiding-air-conditioner-vent-into-pc-safe Not sure how very valid is that although someone with a WRT cert did verify his claims. Still don't think you should be blowing insane amounts of air-conditioned air directly from the vent onto your components, but that's my advice. For me, I keep a reasonable temperature and since my laptop is usually in medium-high loads, condensation shouldn't be much of an issue because heat. Thoughts and am I doing the right thing?

Have you guys seen the new Thinkpad? Sure the DDR3 memory but a 940m, ample room for SSD, with good thermals FOR 900 BUCKS? WHAT! There has to be something seriously wrong with this unit, that I can't seem to figure out. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-thinkpad-yoga-2-in-1-14-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i5-8gb-memory-256gb-solid-state-drive-black/4456400.p?skuId=4456400 I don't even know if I am posting this in the right place! But it seems like news to me! I mean this seems like the best Thinkpad model of all time, for a completely modest price. IT HAS A WACOM PEN DRIVER. Which in my opinion makes it completely superior to the Surface book! Can someone talk me down? I am kinda freaking out right now.

So, I have the opportunity to buy a GTX 760 for around $60, EVGA SC ACX, Should I do that and buy another card to SLI it later? Or Should I spend $150 on a GTX 780 Ordinarily I know that you shouldn't really SLI two less powerful cards to match another better card, but seeing as I am getting the first 760 for a good price, I remain confused.

So my galaxy s3 suddenly stopped working and when I tried to boot it up it goes to the Samsung splash screen and then to the galaxy s3 splash screen. After reaching that screen it crashes. When I attempted to boot into recovery it shows SE linux enforcing in the corner in blue and then crashes. When booting into download mode it lasts a bit longer but still eventually crashes. After doing a bit of research I noticed that people were having that problem with faulty power switches. I disassembled my phone and uninstalled the power switch sadly the phone still was stuck i n its boot cycle implying that it is a deeper issue then that. Thanks ahead of time for any help!

I'm building a new PC for college once I finish High School and have a pretty big budget for it. I have always wanted to water cool a PC but never had the budget. My biggest concern was I will probably have very important documents or projects on the PC and if I water cool it and it leaks then bye bye projects, also no PC and I will probably be broke. Also would I have to change the water in it on a regular basis because this would make it very hard in a dorm.

Just wondering in case I want to do anything. So it has been used for about a year, nothing extreme and no overclocks outside of turbo boosts and GPU boost. Always ran on a desk with no pets and always runs CPU 72C under load and GPUs 76C and 71C under load. So, I really don't know why, but for some random reason Windows seems to think that there is no LAN driver installed on my desktop, when I just downloaded them from my laptop (what I'm using right now) and then transferred it over to it via an external HDD and installed that, but still nothing. So I really don't know what's up, I've been having some problems with my internet connection, with Windows just deciding to not connect, and then I'd have to reset the adapter, but it would never finish, so I would have to restart, then troubleshoot again, then restart, then troubleshoot AGAIN, then finally restarts another time, then boom, it'd work. And it's not as if I missed something, it was working beforehand, only only just when I turned my PC on about an hour ago did I find this out. I've getting increasingly pissed of at my PC, even with a change of motherboard, re-install of Win7, use of an SSD and new GPU, there are STILL problems galore. If anyone knows what's up, and how I would go about fixing this I'd greatly appreciate it. Cheers!

I just got a 500gb SSD and I haven't put it in my computer yet. My plan is to use it for my boot drive. When windows 10 is released will it be a fresh install on the drive I choose or will it be on the same hard drive I already have with all my stuff already on it. I don't want to miss out using my SSD but I don't want to mess something up migrating it to the SSD. Anyone know?

so yeah i showed my boss the part 4 video and some of the b-roll and he just said "build it" and i was like so just wondering how to get the ball rolling on this and he said it doesnt matter the cost as long as it's not ridiculous... will probably put an i5 in there paired with a h97 board? one of the old DCUII maybe a 280X? doesnt have to be mad but i know the case and stuff will be hella expensive. just looking to price it up for now while i wait for my reply from LiquidCool Solutions. if LinusTech could hook me up with a contact from Puget it would be awesome as i could follow the videos... but hey now im pushing my luck... but yeah any ideas on what i need so i can start making a list?
