I ordered the original Lian Li Unifan when I finally found them in stock after they launched. Now two of them are having significant degradation in the RGB. I have them set to a Static Blue. One of the fans has multiple nodes that have failed so there is gaps in the RGB. They other will flicker or rapidly flash between red and blue. I submitted a warranty claim including a video of the issue. It's been two weeks and I have only received the initial response that my warranty claim was received. This is apparently a known issue with the fans. Has anyone else had long delays working with Lian Li warranties? I'm at a loss of what to do if they don't respond.

How insane is this? The monitor I purchased is in my account's order history with all its details available. Yet I have to go through this interrogation for even the most basic warranty support. "Good Day, Kindly reply to the email with these documents below : i)Picture at the back of the monitor with the serial number ii)on a white paper please write in your name, today's date and the case number that I have emailed you. iii)Picture of the invoice that you have purchased the monitor from Dell. iv)Together with your address details. v)Full view picture of the monitor. Thank you for choosing Dell."

Given the amount of controversy that the LTT Backpack "Trust me bro" Warranty generated, I figured I would give a real world example and review of warrantying the LTT Backpack. Spoiler alert, it was seamless. My girlfriend purchased an LTT Backpack 6 months ago and used it daily fully loaded with a laptop, second screen, cables (in a LTT Tech Sack), tons of paperwork, and other business supplies. The bag still looks practically new after 6 months of use. A few weeks ago the main compartment zipper started to separate. To be clear, this was a failure of the YKK zipper itself, and not a failure of the LTT backpack or its construction. All of the stitching that attaches the zipper to the bag is perfectly intact. We emailed LTT Support with detailed pictures on a Saturday and received a response offering a no-charge replacement the following evening, on a Sunday. About a week later a new bag showed up in the mail. Overall absolutely stellar customer support, as usual, from LTT staff.

It is a Seagate BUP Slim 2 TB Drive that I would like to run a bridge bot and a Minecraft Server on along with system backups on it. It is still under warranty should I get it replaced? Basically asking that will they replace it or will they say that the drive is still fine and this is normal for a drive and charge me for getting the drive shipped back?

In a month, i'l be visiting New York, and i'm currently searching for a laptop to buy over there, because the price are much better there than in France, and I want a qwerty keyboard. My main concern is the warranty, since ig NewEgg 30 day warranty will be useless for me, would the Manufacture warranty work? I know that as a EU citizen, their is a mandatory warranty from the manufacture, but since I will buy it from the US, will it still apply? If it might help, this is what I have my eyes on https://www.newegg.com/p/1TS-000E-18JW9

-======I have a Gygabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC graphics card I bought in october 2020, I used to play games a lot on my gaming pc but after i left home for college, I only get to play on weekends. This january I was away for a month and when I got home I played games on my PC just fine, the next day I woke up to find my pc not beign able to boot. I could hear a clicking sound from my PSU, only after I disconnected the power conectors from my GPU could I get my pc to boot. I took the gpu to the store where i bought it and they said it was burned, I was able to claim the warranty and they fixed my gpu. I dont think they gave me a new unit, they just fixed what ever was broken but I am not sure whether I was given a new unit. Anyway, fast forward a few months and I find my self in the exact same position, Used the PC after about a month of non use and the GPU burned on the next day morning. I have 2 months left on the warranty I maybe able to claim it. I am not sure what is causing this to happen. Is it because I didn't use it for a month? I heard that not using electronic devices can lead them to burn when turned on? Could It be my PSU, it is a 750 W gold one, or could It just be a problem with a graphics card and when they fixed it the first time they didn't properly remove the cause for the issue? I can only claim the warranty one more time and I can't afford another GPU I can't be in this situation again, what can I do?

When I tried to honor my warranty on my 3060 ti which broke after 5 months. When I went on their support page all they said was they only provide support for the distributors but the place I got the card from is gainward. Is there anything I can do to help.

Hello, I recently attempted to get an RMA on my ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) because it would not boot. When power was turned on, nothing would light up. The power supply, CPU, and RAM all worked on a different motherboard so I completed the RMA request on June 7, 2023 and shipped it on June 9, 2023. Beside the stupid fact that I have to pay shipping on ASUS's product that no longer works but that is a different conversation. My RMA warranty was declined on the account of the first picture provided. This seems like a wildly outrageous reason to deny a total motherboard failure for scratches that are at the end of the PCIE slot (second picture). Along with the denial of warranty from ASUS, they also provided a bill if I were to proceed with their "repair" quoted to $314.58 USD. Does anyone have any insight onto why that bill would be so high if a new one costs $210 new on Newegg with the addition of ASUS adding a labor fee and a shipping fee for an 50% upcharge of my own product back to me for a reason that has nothing to do with why the motherboard won't turn on. Any info is appreciated!

So about two and a half years ago I decided to build a new system. Initially I went with an ASUS X570 Motherboard, But it arrived with dead DRAM slots so I returned it. I ended up buying a GIGABYTE AORUS X570 ELITE WIFI since it was the only motherboard that met my requirements that was in my price range that wasn't ASUS. For my system I ended up using a 850 watt PSU and got a new monitor, both GIGABYTE products. The monitor developed a dead pixel after just two months. And better yet the PSU ended up being one of the models with no over current protection that was a fire hazard, so I turned that in with the recall and got my money back. now a few years later my computer stared only reading half as much RAM as I had installed. After doing some testing it turned out that my B1 and B2 DRAM slots were no longer reading so I decided to RMA my motherboard. Upon taking it apart, aside from being a little dusty, it was fine however some of my thermal compound had gotten on the PCB next to the CPU socket. So I decided to clean it off with some isopropyl alcohol. After it dried there were some splotches on my Motherboard around where the thermal compound was as it had dissolved into the alcohol and splattered around a bit in the cleaning process. I thought it was no big deal since I know thermal compound is non-conductive. So I shipped my motherboard off to GIGABYTE. THEY RESPNDED TO ME BY SAYING THAT MY MOTHERBOARD HAD LIQUID DAMAGE AND WAS CORRODED. And they provided these BS photos as "proof". You guys tell me if any of these photos show corrosion. Even though I explained to them on the phone that it is from alcohol and thermal compound they are still refusing to honor the warranty and admitted that they did not even try to power it on. Never buy from GIGABYTE, they would sell you tainted meat if they could. *edit* Thanks for the responses, I didn't even think I would get any. Please spread the word that GIGABYTE is up to their devious ways yet again, no one should buy their products for the sake of their wallets and their safety. I would love some advice on what brands people have had good experiences with as I am planning on getting a new GPU soon. Also If anyone knows a good person or a company that does motherboard repair and won't BS me LMK. Also seriously does anyone see corrosion in these pictures? what a load of Horses--t!

Summary The Surface Pro X is long past its warranty expiration, but as one of Microsoft's flagship Arm devices, this is kind of a black eye for them. Quotes My thoughts Whether it's a certificate that expired or something more complicated, I don't think Microsoft is intentionally disabling their devices. But this definitely makes me a lot more wary about using anything from them. Any thoughts or opinions on buying Open Box GPU's from Best Buy? Been seeing some Open Box (Shippable/Excellent Condition) 4080's & 4090's being listed for about 20% off. Most recently Gigabyte Gaming OC 4080. How does the warranty work in those cases? Do you still get the full manufacturer warranty? Anyone ever bought open box? Hello, my name is Shivam and I'm from India.I brought GTX 1060 Founders Edition back in July 2018 for nearly $340 (USD) i.e., ₹ 24500 from the NVIDIA Official India website after saving money for almost 1 year. After 1 year, the GPU stopped working and I got replacement easily in 2019. For warranty claim, we need to mail NVIDIA support and then they generate an RMA number which is used to claim warranty at RP tech service center in India. Now, I again encounter the same problem with my GPU on 16/02/2021 and then claim for warranty. I visit near RP Tech (NVIDIA partner in India) with my RMA number and they said my GPU gold contact pins are rusted. They decline my warranty and when I argue with them, they rudely talk to me and making weird points like we will not give you warranty claim easily and we ourselves reject your warranty claim. After that, they said talk to NVIDIA Support we cannot do anything. Image of My GPU's front pins: https://i.imgur.com/JliCWQ6.jpg Image of My GPU's back pins: https://i.imgur.com/yj8NoeP.jpg Now, this case getting interesting. I mail NVIDIA support explain them that the condition of my GPU is good and I never touched anything with my GPU that void my warranty. I explain them what happened in the RP Tech service center and sent them my GPU photos. NVIDIA support then told me on Saturday that they will check this issue internally and reply me on Tuesday. I wait for their response and they didn't reply. So, I mailed them again on Wednesday about what's going on. They said to me that they are still investigating. Thursday morning at 5:02 AM, they reply and give me another weird reason which is seriously unacceptable. They send me my GPU photo with highlighting screw and some soldering component and said that this is the reason your RMA is canceled i.e., my GPU warranty claim denied. The Image they send me: https://i.imgur.com/i9lQGP6.png So, please guys I need your help to make this post to reach Linus so that he can see what kind of scam is happening in India. Even, their partner RP Tech employee said me that they will themselves reject my claim no matter what. Due to pandemic, my family financial condition is not good right now. I am a college student and working on Android App Development. I am a casual R6 Siege player. Since, I use Ryzen 1500x CPU, I'm unable to use my PC without a GPU. My last hope is Linus and I hope with the help of this beautiful PC community this post reach to LINUS SEBASTION. Seriously, this is too much guys. I need your support guys.

So. I went to unlock my phone last night and lo and behold, it wouldn't register the touch. I looked at the scanner, expecting it to be dirty, and I noticed that there was what looked like a paint chip on my finger. Scanner hasn't worked since and after talking to a Google-Approved repair company, it seems like this becoming somewhat common for Pixel 5's. Pic attached. Let me know what you think.

Recommendations: Pre Built, Good Customer Service/Warranty, Budget = 3.5K USD in the US vendor? This is a rig I want for gaming most of all, secondary tasks would be Music Production with Reaper and an Interface, and Video Editing (family videos) with Adobe Premiere. Gamin is again primary function. I have been doing research for quite a while but there are so many out there now, not sure who to trust in terms of reliability (I am tired of Dell sending me an email every week reminding me that my warranty is about to expire). Which are the top three most reputable companies you have had a good experience with? Since there are so many experts here, thought this would be the best place to get advice, I appreciate your time in advance guys.

Tl;dr: Computer sometimes boots slowly and performance is bad after that. Problem exists in BIOS as well. Computer works fine with new GPU. Tried to take the old one for warranty and they stated there is nothing wrong with the card. So first I noticed that the computer would boot up slower than usual but only sometimes, it also affects computer performance. There would be significantly lower FPS in games that made them unplayable and demanding software would load up slower. I started digging in to what would be causing it and initially I thought it would be a software issue. But I noticed that the same slowness sometimes exists in BIOS too, which would have nothing to do with GPU drivers or is in any else way related to software. BIOS menu could barely be usable with mouse as there would be a 5 second delay when moving cursor or pressing a keyboard button. But when rebooting the problem would usually go away. I removed the GPU (Radeon RX5700XT Strix) and tested with integrated graphics and my good old trusty Radeon 6950 and they both worked fine. Boot up would be lightning fast and no performance issues. Just to be sure I took my PC to computer repair shop and they came to the same conclusion, GPU is broken. So I bought a new GPU, Radeon 6600XT and it works just fine, no problems whatsoever. There is one year warranty left for the card 5700XT and tried to return it for warranty and they sent it to somewhere for testing. The card came back yesterday and they told me that they tested the card and found nothing wrong with it. They told me that they booted it several times in different ways but couldn't see any issue with it. PCIE settings have been checked out and tried on default BIOS settings. Also tested with new RAM sticks. Considering that the problem exists in BIOS too it should not be a software issue, also the fact that my computer works fine with a new GPU, everything would indicate that the RX5700XT would be broken. Or is there something I am missing here? Is there something that could cause such an issue other than the GPU? (Most likely)Broken card is Asus Radeon RX5700XT Strix, Mobo is Asus Z590-A. New card is Asus Radeon RX 6600XT DUAL

So if you are in the market for a gaming laptop and are in the UK. I strongly advise against HP at this point I have just spent 2 hours arguing with them about repairs. Here's the situation. I bought a hp omen 15 on 21st of June 2021 from amazon warehouse so I knew it had been owned previously. The warranty Is still valid for another 16 days as far as the website can tell. I opened up the laptop yesterday in order to add a second ssd and upgrade the ram when I noticed to my surprise that the ribbon cable that connects the secondary ssd or hdd is not there. So I search my box and its not there either. So I contact hp in the hopes that I can buy the part I wasn't even asking them for it I just wanted to buy the part. Only to find out that in the UK they do not supply parts and on top of that by opening the bottom of the laptop I have voided my warranty. The only resolution is for me to send it to them for "repair" which will take 8 to 12 days. So I'm not happy about this and I ask them how much is that going to cost me. For a 2 min repair to install something that should have been there from the start. The only option they have is to start a repair and I would then get a call in 2 to 3 days where we can talk about price. So if you are at all an enthusiast and plan on upgrading your pc in the future don't buy hp because they do not support you.

Hi everyone, About 6 months ago, I bought a 2nd hand Ryzen 3950x. It worked excellent for 5 months, no issues at all. Until my pc shut down and never turned on again. Debug LED points to CPU, tried the basic troubleshooting such as RAM reseat and test, CMOS clear and BIOS was already up to date. Tested 2 more motherboards, both wouldn't boot. Put a new CPU in and it booted right up. So right now im trying to see what my options are. I can't get ahold of the guy who sold the CPU to me anymore and I don't have a receipt so AMD warranty repair is out of the question. Is there anything else i can do? Is there an out of warranty repair option? I am happy to pay I just dont want my CPU going to waste. Thanks

Valve pretty much says you will void your warranty if you open the device up, but FTC law says it's okay to open devices you have purchased. Is this illegal or you think they would honor a warrenty repair if you add an SSD then later your screen backlight dies.

I live in Egypt and around a month and a half ago i got a 1660 super zotac AMP which apparently has 3 years warranty. My gpu recently started doing some weird noises on fan levels from 53 to 57% i don't know what they are. They arent clicking or grinding they sound like they are vibrating if that makes sense. So i tried to contact warranty (which isnt zotac in Egypt but instead a place called Amir) and nope..no answer..not on my texts , called them twice and no one picked up. So i kinda just felt angry and let it be like that..question is , is it even worth the RMA? Its not affecting my performance or temps or anything at all..and the sound is there if you put your ear to the case or on top but if you're just in gaming mode you won't hear it..

Hey, I'm in the mists of buying the final two components for my computer and have found that due to multiple circumstances the memory kit I had intended to buy is out of stock everywhere except Newegg and MemoryC. Unfortunately there are no other kits, by another brand, in the UK that have the same specifications; not sure as to why, perhaps due to shortages etc or that the specs are popular with those who have adopted the Ryzen platform. But I digress, is memoryc.co.uk a legitimate website and has anybody had any experience with them before? Also, how does Newegg's warranty policy work for those shipping internationally? Newegg have given me very conflicting information and after searching around myself I have been unable to resolve at a conclusion. Thank you for the help in advance, Stay safe, Lex.

Hey guys, My GPU has been sent to be repaired since it was still under warranty. it's a gigabyte 2070 super. After sitting for a few days at the shop then finally get sent to the local gigabyte distributor for more testing, they decided the gpu is beyond repair. they also don't have any other 2070 super in stock so they gave me 4 options: upgrade to 2080ti for 800$ downgrade to 2070 for free switch to rx6700 xt and pay 300$ (i dont even know what that is) wait 4-5 months to get a new 2070super now i get there's no stock, it happens i guess, but my options are pay 800$, downgrade, or have no gpu for 4-5 months. i feel like it's not my problem they are out of stock; they didn't have a support for their 3 year warranty products. i feel like upgrading to 2080ti is the only option because im an editor and need to work and I don't like the downgrade, but it’s not worth 800$, in fact I don’t think I should have to pay anything. They threw in 3 year warranty as a gamble and lost, they should be accepting their responsibility. Am i the asshole for implying my options aren’t good and that I should have to pay anything for the 2080ti? Thanks.

Does anyone know if removing the stickers on the GPU fans voids the warranty? Maybe its different from manufacturer to manufacturer, I have an Asus card and would like some custom stickers on the fans instead but I wasnt sure if it would void the warranty, I have contacted Asus but they said it can take up to 72 hours before I get a response.

Hi All Im a long time lurker but first time poster but would like to ask for help / opinion and probably blow off a little steam as I`m extremely frustrated so I apologise upfront if this post has some venting included. My story starts with the purchase of an Aorus 3080 Master around November last year. After having tried to get a 3080 anywhere near to MSRP after its release , i finally caved in and bought an Aorus 3080 Master around November last year. The price at the time of the purchase was already inflated to almost 1400 USD from a retailer . Unfortunately in the country that i reside in , there is no real option to buy from a brick and mortar other than this retailer. Newegg and Amazon is normally my avenues for sourcing PC hardware but due to the non existent stock online I caved and paid the inflated price as it was the only way to get the GPU. I saved up for this purchase as i dont upgrade frequently so when i do upgrade , i try to buy the best performing product that I can reasonably afford. The moment I upgraded , my old GPU (an EVGA 1080 Hybrid as well as online purchases i made for CPU , Mobo , Power supply, Ram and case ) was sent to my brother as a birthday present in my home country so that we could game together. (I currently work in a different country) We have since gamed togethere on a semi regular basis as time zone difference and our schedules allowed but even if we dont game together my brother has been thouroughly gaming and enjoying the experience as he never had the opertunity to have a decent pc to play on . (Upgraded from a Celeron Dell laptop from around 2014). Anyways , about a month ago my Aorus card starts showing artifacts after extended periods of gaming and I send it back to the retailer for a warranty claim / RMA . Today after a month of not having any feedback other than " Still waiting on feedback from Gigabyte/ Aorus " , I decide to phone the retailer . The retailer tells me that they are still waiting on feedback but I will probably end up with one two outcomes : > I get a credit note for the amount paid for the card > I will get a replacement card from Gigabyte / Aorus but they cant tell me when This leaves me so frustrated as Im now sitting with a desktop that cant game (I have put an ancient GPU in so I can atleast use the PC but certainly cant think of really playing any games with my brother). So now what do I do ? Credit note would be to the value of 1300 USD (original purchase price at retailer ) with the retailer but that retailer is now charging 2600 USD for 3080 GPUS so I would be getting only 50% as a credit note of what the card is worth so wouldnt even be able to buy another 3080 from the retailer if i get a full refund. OR Wait indefinate for Aorus to provide a replacement card with no ETA and might up end witha credit note anyways . Is there anyone representative from Gigabyte or Aorus that can maybe look at this and assist with this ? Any other advise or feedback would also be appreciated from anyone that has gone through something similar as I would think that Im not the only one that bought a GPU prior to the massive increases took place and has had to RMA now recently after the increases took affect ? Thanks for reading. I hope someone can help and if if there is anyone else going through the same pain , just know you are not alone .
