Hey guys. Looking for a WoW guild to join since I've gotten back into the game for BFA. Ideally looking to do PVE group content(raids, mythic dungeons, ect.) Currently I am on Mok'Nathal which is CR with Silvermoon and would prefer not to have to realm transfer but am open to doing so. Not open to faction change though, haha! My main is a capped Tauren Hunter with an ilvl of ~305 currently. Been playing since vanilla but haven't played much during WoD and Legion. I've also got a Warrior and DK I'd be willing to level to tank. I've been in a guild for years but it's one of those cesspool guilds that sprung up during Cata and invited half the server and now it's dead with maybe 1-2 people on max nowadays if anyone. Generally I am free all nights for Thursday and Saturday and others I play between 6-11P.M. AZ time(no daylight savings) Lok'Tar friends.

Hey Everyone! First time on the forums and long time viewer. I am looking to buy a new laptop. I use on mainly use it for work where I am online using the G-suite. I am also thinking about getting back into World of Warcraft after a couple year break. My budget is going to be in the $500-$650 and to run it on at least medium settings. Thank you in advance for the suggestions.

I assume that there are still tons of people who play WoW here ! I recently got it again and I wanted to get ready for the new expansion coming later this year. I have played it since about 2008 or 09 (Near the end of Wrath of The Lich King) I was just wondering if many people feel the same as me now, that you only play when the new content comes out and there is kind of an off season for about a year in between the expansions.

It's not uncommon at all to use music (from other movies, shows, or composing groups that make music specifically for trailers) that is not made for the film being teased, advertised, trailered?, etc. I have a very good memory for soundtracks, scripts, and game music so long as I am familiar with the content it goes with. I recognized the exact of the movie score used in the Warcraft trailer right away. So I wanted to share the source with anyone else who enjoys soundtracks and wanted to know what the music was. Here it is: 300 Rise of an Empire - IMDb http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1253863/?ref_=nv_sr_2 I don't care about WoW or if the movie is good, but I think the music in the teaser is good and I know the source anddecided to share for anyone else who liked the music.

Cut to the chase: What GPU configuration is needed to provide a minimum of 60fps in WoW @ultra settings and 2xMSAA using a 4k monitor? More in depth: In the past, when I played WoW in 1080p, then 1440p I was always able to play at a minimum of 60fps with ultra settings. (Yes there may have been the occasional dip in raids, but it hardly ever happened for me). Now that I have a 4k monitor, it's a different story. Originally I had a EVGA GTX 970 FTW and later returned it for a 980 superclocked. There was an improvement, particularly before patch 6.1 came out, but now I am no longer willing to accept the occasional frame dips, and the fact that I can't play with any AA (yes 4k makes AA less of an issue, but I still see jaggies/shimmer and want to be able to use 2xMSAA). For the most part, I do have 60+fps for 90% of the time so I can play the game using the single 980, but I don't want to. I would really like to hear from those who are able to accomplish what I am trying (if it's even possible @ 4k). Please no “should, supposedly, most likely, etc” scenarios. I know WoW is CPU heavy as well, but I don't believe that is the issue as task manager shows I am only using about 50%. There is a specific area where my frame dips occur in Nagrand just a little bit west down the path of Joz's Rylaks flight path around 60.40, 35.94. If I continue west down the path it gets really choppy with fps usually around 50, but I have seen it dip to the 40's. Every time I head west with the camera looking down the path into the distance my fps would drop (I would go to about 56.44, 37.49). Oddly, heading east between the two points was more or less fine- a solid 60fps. If anyone has the time, I would be very interested if this area gives you problems as well, 4k or not. I am not sure if this area in Nagrand is an anomaly, but it is the perfect example of the minimum frame drops I occasionally get (like in raids) that can be consistently repeated so it should be a good testing area for others. Here are the specs of my computer: i7 3770K (right now at 3.9ghz) 32gb Ram Asus P8Z77V-Pro Crucial M4 SSD 750W PSU GTX 980 SC Using Precision X, it looks like only about 2gb of memory is used on the card in Warcraft so I don't think the problem is related to the “you need more than 4gb for 4k” issue. Nothing seems odd in the rest of the OSD other than the power limit seems to turn off an on- maybe that offers some insight? I know a lot of you have better set ups so I am really hoping someone can give a definitive answer to accomplish what I am going for. All help is appreciated.

Me and my skype buddies are starting a World of Warcraft raiding guild. There is 6 of us and we are looking to expand to up to 20 people to hopefully run mythic in the very near future. Pm me for schedule or any other information you want answered. as of now we are looking for all specs so any role is welcome. If there is an outstanding amount of people trying for one role the current 6 of us will host counsel to decide the accepted person.

Hey folks, So some long-time friends just tasked with me with building a very tightly budgeted computer for playing World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor. The computer is to replace the guy's mother's aging PC which is actually currently under the minimum required specs for the game. From what I can tell the monitor they'll be giving her is running down in the 1280rez range. They'd like it if she could play at medium or high at a decent framerate. The budget. Ah, that's where it gets tight: £400, including a copy of Windows 7. Yeah. Location: UK. EDIT: Budget has changed to £450. Double EDIT: Another £50. Budget up to £500. Now, I don't play WoW so my knowledge of its performance is terrible, but I do know it's more CPU driven and not very intensive. My general thoughts were to keep it down to 4GB of ram for price. I was also thinking the R9 260x, which would let me keep the PSU down to something like a basic Corsair 430w, again saving money. Thoughts on the card? The CPU I've had trouble with. Intel seems to be the way to go, except they are quite pricey. An i5 would have been lovely, but the pricing seems to put it out of range, really. I was considering the Intel Pentium G3258 K due its low price, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it and WoW. Otherwise was considering something like the FX-6300, or the Athlon x4 760. Again, thoughts? New build idea: i5 4460 R9 270 1tb HDD 4GB Fury Ram 1TB HDD EVGA 500b 500w PSU Corsair Silencio 352 Something which some upgrade room on the processor would be good! Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Pentium uses 1150 which leave some upgrade room, right? Anyway, advice is much appreciated! Note: the woman in question is going to be using this purely to play Wow, plus browse the net.

The players of World of Warcraft, the most played MMO game of all time decided to show their best at defeating Ebola! By adopting an in-game Goat (I think it's name is Argi but I'm too lazy to check, derp) players donated around 2 million dollars to help those in need affected by Ebola in Africa! Also, it wasn't only gamers playing WoW that helped, but Blizzard also helped by donating 100% of their profit they got in a short time window to help get even more money to help those in need! Since Red Cross of USA is in question here and gets all the money to send to Africa, only people from USA can donate to help people in Africa which kind of sucks because a lot of people would like to help, I hope. People say that Gamers have no life, at least we are doing something to save one. #GoatsAgainstEbola ^ Hash tag I made up, derp. To celebrate we are going to blow your brains out with a montage! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpccpglnNf0 Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-02-12-world-of-warcraft-pet-raises-usd1-9m-for-red-cross-ebola-fund(Eurogamer)

It's been almost a year since I was last on WoW, and then it was really just because I had found a 2 month card that I figured I might as well use. I was really a huge fan of the game back in late BC and throughout all of WotLK. I played with tons of friends that I had both met online and knew in real life and we were all super excited for Cata, but it ended up being super disappointing. Recently I have started seeing commercials for WoD and a couple of friends are playing again. To be honest it looks like it will be fun and I kinda want to try it, but I don't want to start and then have it end up being like Cata or MoP. Anyone currently playing that can give some insight?

Well - Warlords of Draenor has arrived and as with previous expansion packs (Cataclysm, Mists of Pandaria), excessive login wait times are the order of the day  . 2 hr wait on release day, didn't get on last night, and tonight between 300 min - 3170 min queue time  I knew this would happen, which is why i took 2 weeks off work from Monday i/o last Thurs

Hello all, This is just going to be a post about what I'm testing, and my methodology for testing different things that might be the cause of low FPS I'm getting in World of Warcraft. If there is an obvious answer, I'd love to hear it! But aside from someone having the answer, I'll continue my search. So, I play World of Warcraft very frequently, on a very hardcore level, raiding at least 3 days a week, for at least 3 hours, plus time to get ready and gather things in the middle. Now, due to the fact that I'm trying to do the hardest content in the game, I need to have a steady FPS, and a computer, which I thought I had provided with the overkill of hardware I have. The issue I'm having, is running around a capital city, with almost nothing graphically demanding happening, I can see FPS between 90 and 20. Now, as my signature says, I have quite the hardware in my tower, and I have three different 1080p monitors being pushed by that hardware. My first thought, was that because of trying to push over 6 million pixels, was that I might be running out of VRAM with my 3gb cards. Now, to note, I only play WoW on the middle screen, and I use the left and right screens for productivity, (Using Chrome to look up different things, Mumble, Ventrilo, ect). My testing method was to go into a raid, and using GPU-z and Afterburner (for redundancy) check the Max VRAM used. However, after many different bosses, I found that the maximum VRAM I was using was just under 2gb of VRAM. Meaning that wasn't the issue. So, I looked more into the GPU to see what was happening with it, to try and determine if that was the issue. After looking at what the different reports said, I saw that the first GPU was maxing out at 76% usage, while the second GPU was only at 36%. This could be an issue with World of Warcraft's optimization, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm going to use a few different games, and checking what they get for the usage, to make sure it isn't something I have set wrong. Even if the SLI isn't working right, we're still not pegged at 100% usage at any point... We don't even hit 80%. So I've decided that the GPU wouldn't be the real issue, even if there is a minor issue there. When I get home, I'll be testing the RAM usage, thinking that it might be the RAM running out, due to the fact that I use so many Chrome windows, and the game playing at the same time. I'll check that once I get home later tonight. At the same time, I'll watch the CPU usage, but I doubt that's the issue.

So at the San Diego Comic Con Warner Brother's showed a teaser trailer for a World of Warcraft movie, simply called Warcraft. The movie will be directed by the awesome Duncan Jones, and they are said to start filming in early 2014. The teaser hasn't been released online and nobody there recorded it  . But there are summaries online, my favorite being this one. What do you guys think? Are you excited?!?! I've never played World of Warcraft but I still can't wait for this. And for those of you who do play, are you looking forward to the film adaptation or are you afraid it will turn out like Avatar the Last Airbender and be a major let down? **Source**

Hello all, Would an Intel Celeron G1610 be good enough for World of Warcraft on High/Ultra settings? Or would this kill the chances of that regardless of other components? Specs: Dual Core 2600MHz Ivy Bridge

An e-sports section, aw yeah! I’ve absolutely love just the concept of playing a game at such a high level, where players practices hours perfecting just one element of the game or creating elaborate strategies to fight the odds put against them. My very first e-sports that I’ve watched was Starcraft 2. I was introduced to the professional scene when I was going on Youtube to look for new multiplayer strategies. I first bumped into the Youtube channel of HDStarcraft, watching this match after just merely watching one of his tutorials.
