charger Volta Style Cable Compatibility with Razer Naga Pro
cichington posted a topic in Peripherals
Hey all, I recently bit the bullet and went full wireless for my mouse and keyboard (Highly Recommend). I picked up a Razer Naga Pro, and a Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro during Cyber Monday. Unfortunately, the Naga Pro use Micro USB, and the Blackwidow uses USB C for charging. To keep the clean aesthetic, I wanted to only have one cable visible to charge both of them if needed. I was wanting to go with Volta Style Cable and just keep the small magnetic plugs in the peripherals however the Naga Pro has very little clearance where the cable plugs into the mouse. Has anyone used one of these and if so does it fit? Another option would be to get a Micro USB to USB C adapter, but that would not be ideal as those adapters tend to be a little chunky for my liking. Any advice or input on the matter would be great! Here's a picture of the charging port on the Naga Pro for reference: -
Hello, I would like to make a complaint, not sure if this is the best section for it tho... Recently this video came out: In it, the sponsor is Volta. I am one of the backers from IndieGoGo on the GIGA charger. The reason I got one was that they seem legit and my own chargers were failing me back in September. Volta's IndieGoGo campaign has been delayed a couple of times, we were supposed to get the chargers in November 2021. However, they have been unwilling to provide a specific timeframe since its inception (I and others wrote to them a couple of times without them getting a reply back to us, this can be checked on the campaign discussion page). They seem more interested in starting new products like the wireless charger instead of finishing the outstanding promised ones! Why are you promoting them if they have yet to deliver & are behind? For those who were thinking of getting one, please wait till they are out to backers or get one from somewhere else, rather than risk waiting for one for a long time. If you are in dire need like I was, just get a Baseus charger from aliexpress, they may only be 100-120w but at least they exist and can be shipped to you when you need them.

A few months ago, I complained about LTT accepting to be sponsored by Volta while they are not delivering their promises, not being transparent, or ever providing a timeline. Original Thread here: ^ From this topic, I'd still love an answer from LTT as to why they agreed to be sponsored by Volta given how their campaign is going (it's not rocket science, anyone can go on their campaign and read what people are saying)! So I'll ask the same question: Why do you promote them if they have yet to deliver & are behind? Regarding this topic: The most recent update with excuses from Volta includes a video posted by Volta from LTT, essentially using LTT's explanation about cash flow to justify their delays so far. Besides the fact that they come up with a different excuse with each update, Did LTT give permission for this? It looks like another way for them to inject confidence into the people by association with LTT who were supposed to get a product half a year ago. My confidence in LTT has already dropped because of this, especially since the first topic got quietly buried. I'm hoping someone from LTT will respond this time because it will simply be image damaging if you do nothing.

I have a 980ti and a 144hz 1440p display. Most titles run sub 100 fps on my setup with my 6700k, 16gb ram, and 980ti. I have monitor or games like CSGO and lol which I can get 144fps. But on titles like bf1 I want to get my monitors money worth. is it worth it to buy a 1080ti or wait for volt? Thanks

I currently have a surround setup thats 3x 1280x1024@75Hz with a secondary monitor for non-surround games (1600x900@60Hz, may upgrade to 1440p@165Hz Gsync). Computer cant run my games. Should I buy a 1080 Ti or wait for Vega or Volta? The goal is 3840x1024@75Hz. The important Game is Just Cause 3, which i cant even run at 1600x1200, it dips below 60 fps. Other games I play that are easier to run are Overwatch, Starcraft 2, Heroes of the Storm, Elder Scrolls Online, Skyrim. I will be playing Destiny 2 when it comes out. Any help appreciated! Saw this on videocardz: https://videocardz.com/69742/rumor-is-this-nvidia-titan-volta So it begins? The great Volta season summer 2017? Why is it gold, why is the name not centered?

Some Nvidia intern has leaked what looks like Nvidia's next Titan based on their just announced Volta architecture. It's either that or someone is extremely bored and did some photochop work And some Tesla pics too http://www.overclock.net/t/1630852/fb-picture-of-volta-titan-leaked-by-nvidia-intern

So now that Volta has dropped, and we found out about the awesome uber powerful "Tensor Cores", is it better for someone learning Neural Networks, Machine Learning and Deep Learning to wait who knows how long until the Volta Consumer GTX's drop, or is it a too long wait and the Pascal (or even the upcoming Pascal Refresh GTX 20's ) are a better option? Can we expect the consumer GTX Voltas to have "Tensor Core" support? Also which of the following is a better option? 1. One GTX 1070/2070 in a few days, then add another GTX 2070 next year. OR 2. Wait .... Wait..... Wait.... then buy a VOLTA GTX P.S. Sorry for not suggesting 1080/2080's , if I buy one right now I'll be broke

This site has been on the money with lots of Ryzen stuff. I am one of the few non-gamers or video editors in the forum and I am super excited for all news in regards to the "Intel Killers" AMD has been releasing. According to the article, we will get 12 14 and 16 cores. Speed will be faster than expected. We will see a preview within the next couple of weeks. It is apparently massive (just as she said) and will need special air-coolers (if it can even be air cooled). Then the article talks about coffelake and skylake-x and how they are good at overclocking (yawn) and that volta will release this year (yei?!). In a nutshell, AMD will continue to ryze in the cpu market but will continue to lag far behind in the gpu one. http://carbonite.co.za/showthread.php?t=158997 Happy to hear everyone's thoughts!

Hi, So basically, I managed to get a GTX 1080 for £300! It was a heat of the moment, it was such a good deal I just had to go for it. However, I have been reading about upcoming Volta and Vega GPUs, and was just wondering how you guys think the 1080 will hold up against them? Especially for the low price of £300, I can't imagine the new GPUs to beat the 1080 in price-performance for the price I got it, however I could be wrong and would just like to hear your opinions on it also Thanks.

recommandation Should I wait for the GTX 2000/Volta series?
ChaosNicro posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Hello everyone, With my current PC still working but in the "when you press the buttons at just the right angle" kind of way with a damaged graphics PCB, messy cable management and a suboptimal case for expansion, I wanted to do a completely new build. I had Nvidia in mind for graphics since AMD drivers caused some problems with my Linux OS and I was looking at a GTX 1070 for price-performance ratio. Now with all the rumors going on around Volta and the "refresh" 2000 series I was wondering if I should wait for the release? I know that you would always be waiting on some new component to be released with that mentality and I know that some of the rumors hold more water than others. I'm mostly interested in the increased stats and not the better price of the new cards but I could not find any reliable data on how big of a difference there is going to be. Thus I'd like to ask for your opinion on this. Thanks in advance -
Hi everyone, I am planning to upgrade my gtx 760 but is it smart to buy a 1050ti or 1060 now or should I wait? I've read somewhere that in the early fall there could be a pascal refresh but there is no conformation about that... I am not waiting for Volta cause it aint coming very soon...

Here is the build i'm gonna go with https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DM2Ppb However I'm still deciding if i should save my money and get a gtx 1060 6gb so that i can save up leftover money for Nividia Volta next year or 1080 TI when that gets a price drop or spend the exta on a 1070 I wanna game mainly in 1080p 60fps/144fps All help is appreciated thanks!

So currently my pc has no gpu. Just integrated graphics in my i7 6700k. I have a 165hz 1440p display, that i can't use to its full potential due to me not having a gpu. For about three days i was thinking of buying a 1080. But then i see all the sites saying "Volta will be awesome, It will destroy the current Pascal cars." And the other site is like " Vega will be chesper and it will have the same performance as the pascal cards, pascal is dead." Ok i might be a but over exaggarating, but that is kinda what yhey say. So know i wanned to ask if it is even worth buying a Pascal card this close to Vega and Volta ? Sorry for the long post.

Source: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-volta-gv100-gpu-ai,35297.html My thought: I think that the most astounding thing was when I viewed this article was the gpu comparison between the p100 and v100. The improved performance between the p100 and the v100 in the comparison was improved by a huge margin, especially when it came to the bandwidth. I think NVIDIA has done a very great job with volta when it comes to improvement.

My new PC saga has gone up from a trilogy to a quadrilogy -,- This chapter is called "Wallet wars my pc strikes again" As you all gathered here may noticed I am in need of a new power supply due to a small thing breaking in my current one and making my life airfield like (minus the planes thankfully) My requirements for this small glorious box that powers my pcmr wallet sucking machine are as follows: -quiet -capable of comfortably supplying enough juice to my overclocked 7820X and a future volta 2080 gpu (GTX 1280,1280Ti, 2080, 2080Ti whatever they call I'm buying it) - high quality -reasonable in price (obviously not some kind of a 15$ 25000W wonderbox elite pro gaming extreme pocket bomb but also not a power supply thay has a case made of gold) So far I found Corsair HX850i to my liking though not so sure about the differences between the RM RMx RMi HX series (except for price ofc) and not so sure about me needing this many watts As always any help is welcome as I hope to finally have this PC build behind me and finally working as I want it to.

I want to upgrade my system to a 1080ti over the holidays, but I don’t know if I should wait for Volta. I want the graphics card I am going to invest in to last a good long time (preferably longer than 1 year) and I don’t know if the aging Pascal will fulfill that. Is it likely that Volta will come out this summer like Pascal did 2 years ago, or should I just get a 1080ti?

When is Nvidia going to release the next line up of Video cards?

I'm gonna replace my skylake GTX 9 series laptop. I can feel it outdated right now. I heard that Nvidia is gonna release their next gen graphics cards for gaming (GTX 20 series) in this winter. My conclusion is, do I need to wait for them to come out or just go for GTX 1060 or 1070 laptop to use next couple of years? My main concern is Video Editing in 1080p and gaming in 1080p with good FPS in ultra or high settings. My current laptop is killing video editing in 1080p without any compromise. It can handle the latest gaming titles in medium settings with great FPS. In high settings FPS lil low. I guess GTX 1060 or 1070 will fulfill my concerns. If I go for a new laptop I'm gonna need to keep it for next 2 or 2 and half years. When Nvidia's new chips come out they might be too pricey and will take some time to come out to the Asian market. My choice is to go for 1060 or 1070. But the same time I think I might regret not to wait for new cards. Does anybody have this problem? Then how you could manage it?

I researched nvidias new gen release patterns and they all fall into the 2 year period so with that knowledge i'd think they would release the cards next year around may and april. What are your thoughts on that?
