I personally found this article quite interesting actually, it talks about how teens playing over 3 hours of games can cause complications in the real world and "hold back the moral maturity" of the teens, also why games with violence as a main theme generally cause less "rage" than not actually being able to work out the mechanics of the game caused a lot more of a stir than just blood and guts http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-26921743- source BBC NEWS

As you read the title Why us, gamers? You think what the fuck am i talking about. Remember your grandma, mother, or father telling you that you are violent because of what are you playing on machine you are probably using right now, computers? Yeah, many people still believe that games cause violence. HaHa. But what was your reaction, you started to defend the gamer community? I know i would. But people never checked on any statistics, and believe in old school science. Now why am i bringing this? Fox News on a show Fox and friends don't really like the gamer community. Because they are provocative bitches or just believe in the "old school science" Well a guy filmed this show and fox reporter has to say that gamers must be watched? Kinda reminds me of NSA. But lets just get straight to the point. The reporter says "Not all gamers should be watched, but if there is a strong connections between killing and playing games, we should watch them how much do they buy games and how much do they play them" or something between those lines. But our dear reporter Elisabeth Hasselbeck thinks she is very smart and she "found" a connection between killings the Aron Alexis has done and games. Yes, he drank alcohol and played games. And now they are making fun of a good gamer community for him playing games, but they never spoke about alcohol he drank. Fuck YEAH! They also gave more examples like Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold and James Holmes. Trough the centurys people weren't looking at truth of why is a person killed, but they always looked at side things that didn't matter. TV, CINEMA AND OFC OUR DEAR PC. You guys like video games, I like video games. As video gamers, I think it is important for us to be educated and intellectually armed to put up a good argument when our passions are attacked in the media. This post is very long and I am sorry so forgive me but you can't get a thoughtfully formulated complex idea like video game violence into 3 lines of text. I studied the impact of violent games when I was earning my degree. I am not more qualified than you guys to talk about this stuff, I just studied it and formed my own opinions from what I read. While I support all video game research and you should too if you have children in your life and you like games, and while I do not like how Activision is lobbying the government not to fund it, I also realize that adults can play these games and not turn into criminals and the violence that adults see in games is very different from a child's perspective. This nut in D.C. this morning had MANY mental issues and the media wants to blame the video games. And again, here we go with the disregard for the actual science and mental health and the pumping up of the hype bullshit. The same thing happened with the Aurora shooter and the Sandy Hook shooter. Both of them played violent video games and the media had the PERFECT F***ING OPPORTUNITY to have a real discussion about mental health and personal responsibility but the only thing they focused on was "DID THE GUYS PLAY CALL OF DUTY?! BLAH RABBLE BLAH!" This is the truth that has been researched time and time again. People who are not mentally F***ed in the head are not going to play a video game and then kill 12 people. That just isn't going to happen. What happens is that people who have the potential to commit horrific crimes are already attracted to violent video games because it is a chance for them to live their fantasy out on the screen. They have a whole different mindset when playing a game. They might reload a checkpoint a bunch of times just so they can get a close up of a headshot. In some games you are rewarded for violence. Most games have violence as the secondary variable (saving the world but killing Makarov rewards you, but you are not rewarded primarily for the violence itself). The media wants us to believe that the violence is the primary motivator for the reward within video games. Just ask yourself this. Does it make more sense that the man was a normal guy and after playing video games he turned into a murderer... OR OR OR OR OR!!! does it make more sense that he was already crazy and he found comfort in the violent aspect of video games? Trust me, he would have done this anyways.

There has been a second shooting near Fergusson. I think gunning him down and killing him on the spot is waaay over the top. Couldm't they have just shot him in a leg? Or used a taser? Or used pepperspray? Or anything non lethal at all? What are these guys thinking?? I'm not from the US, but i can feel the tension from 3000 miles away for crying out loud! I don't know how the Fergusson police is going to solve this... I'm not saying the victim wasn't a criminal, because he was, but gunning him down on the streets is not okay. Not okay at all.
