The Monitor in question is a ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-mhd. Just yesterday it started to show these weird light-blueish stripes dancing all over the screen and now it even turns on and off in rapid succession, as shown in the video attached. These errors get worse and worse the higher i set the refresh rate. In the Video it is running at max 144hz. At 75hz the Stripes are still clearly visable, however at 60hz it is somewhat bearable, but artifacts and weird flickers still occur. I ran the monitor with 2 different displayport cables as well as HDMI and on 2 separate computers. One computer only had HDMI though and the monitor only runs at 60hz max on it anyway, yet the artifacts were still visable so i guess it doesnt change anything. My Question: Is there any hope at repairing this as an electrical engineer? Or would that be a waste of time? Any opinions on the LG 27GP850-B as a possible replacement? Thank you very much in advance! VID-20220315-WA0000.mp4

So I've been using the Seasonic VA2409-H for couple of years now, its a solid monitor enough for my need, and for about a year now I use it as secondary monitor, ususally to show a firefox tab. just now after cold booting the PC, I realise around the corner of the screen, I got this greenish vignetting with a hinted of familiar firefox interface there, just like burn (image retention) in on OLED screen. I tried to change my windows walpaper temporarily to plain white solid color, and after 30 minutes leaving it on, its sorta fading out, but still noticable, hopefully it will be gone completely. My question is, is it still posibble that modern (and cheap) IPS panel still got this image retention issue? and is it just temporarily and can be gone quickly or it can be permanent one? or can it be attributed to just lower end of IPS panel? And what the easiest way to clear the issue (like me who changing the wallpaper temporarily to solid white color)? Anyway I admitted its my fault to leave the secondary monitor at idle at full brightness when showing static firefox tab .

Just got myself a new 144hz ips monitor from Viewsonic and its got 1 red stuck pixel in the bottom right corner. Should I opt for a replacement or should I try to repair it first with the online stuck pixel removers? Sorry for the bad pic, my phone doesn't have a native macro mode so have to take screenshots from videos.

Just got a monitor from Viewsonic. The top of the line Gaming monitor they have in the 24" range Model XG2405. Saw some good reviews about it and as unlucky as I am, I got a dead/stuck sub-pixel in the bottom right corner. Its stuck on red in white/yellow but black in blue/green. Now the thing is that I have 1 free replacement of the monitor from Amazon but of this unit is faulty again then I will have to contact manufacturer and they will deny RMA as they have 5pixel policy. Apart from the dead pixel the colours are good and ips glow is minimal and corner vignette is not present. So should I take a risk and go for replacement or stay with the current one considering I got it on a offer of 5year 1:1 replacement warranty. I mean there is no guarantee that the next unit will be flawless and the pixel doesn't bother me that much. Hope that it doesn't spread all over the screen. Added some images for reference. And thanks for the constant help I get from this forum. Its quicker than :cough: some other ones.

Hello everybody, I currently have a Viewsonic XG2405, great monitor for the price aside from 1 dead pixel, luckily it is on the far left bottom edge. Anyways, today I noticed something while I was using my flashlight on the monitor to look for streaks. The monitor panel has the top right edge warped against the bezel. I never touched that part so it has to be a manufacting defect. The defect is noticeable for me after seeing it, due to me having ocd about anything computer related . I take care of things, sometimes a little bit too much, and these types of QC issues annoy me to no end. What I wanted to ask was, should I worry about the panel transparent protective cover from coming out in the future? Here is the problem:

Hello everybody, I was just cleaning my monitor inspecting for dead pixel and I came across this weird pixel that doesn't seem to look like a stuck pixel according to some dead pixel test online. It doesn't look like a dead pixel either since it is colores and changes color according to my viewing angle. I find it unacceptable that lcds come with these types of defects, I'm on my third Viewsonic XG2405 and it is a very good monitor but the quality control kinda dissapointed me. What do you guys think? I don't live in a developed country and the warranty only covers 5 stuck/dead pixels and the store warranty expired just 6 days after the purchase (I've been using the monitor for almost 6 months).

I've come down to two monitors for my upgrade from a 24" 1080p TN panel; ViewSonic VX2758-2KP-MHD: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/viewsonic/vx2758-2kp-mhd Pixio PX7 Prime: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/pixio/px7-prime So far I'm leaning towards the ViewSonic because it has a slightly better contrast ratio, much better black uniformity for an IPS panel and better colour gamut coverage. I'm going to be using my monitor only for gaming, and I'm looking for an upgrade in picture quality in games like Cyberpunk, The Outer Worlds, Metro Exodus etc. What's your opinion? Will the upgrade help with the picture quality of the game and make the colours less washed?

Hello there, I've been looking for a new monitor for photo editing for a while. I have a favorite, which is the Viewsonic VP2768-A but it is a bit above my price range. By chance i found out that Viewsonic has another monitor with seemingly almost the same specs: the VP2756-2K. Now the latter is a good bit cheaper but i could not find out why that is. I hope someone can help me out here. As i have some other monitors in sight, it would be good to know if the cheaper VP2756-2K is better than the my other alternatives. Thanks a lot in advance! My price range as a German: 300-400€. The VP2756-2K is about 370€ here, while the VP2768-A usually has a price about 470€. That's quite the difference. My alternatives for a 27" WQHD Monitor used for photo editng, with good color accuracy, ideally without PWM, secondly used for gaming: LG 27QN880-B (~340€) Asus PA278QV (~320€) Asus PA278CV (~390€) BenQ PD2705Q (~370€)

The ViewSonic VX2458-C-MHD 24-inch 1080p 144hz Curved Gaming Monitor is available to me for USD 162.26. I have an i5-3570 paired with a Gigabyte Single fan GTX 960 4GB. I am buying this monitor for Valorant@1080p144. Will my PC be able to manage it? Does my GPU have G-sync? This monitor has Freesync, will it work with my GPU? Is this monitor worth it?

Hi. Can you guys help me decide which monitor to buy? I'm going to be using the monitor for gaming, watching videos, coding and possibly some editing in the future. But I can't decide between these three monitors. 1. Viewsonic XG2405 - $256.32 2. AOC 24G2 - $234.18 3. ASUS VP249QGR - $204.54 I just converted these prices directly from my country. Any suggestions from these price range are welcome and opinions or reviews from owners of these three monitors will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

First of all, thank you all for your precious time! I know there are lots of threads about this but my question is kinda different. I have a Viewsonic VA2261 monitor that supports 75HZ at 1280x1024. It unly runs at 60 in native 1920x1080. My question is; Will it be harmful for the monitor to make it run at 75HZ in 1920x1080 (tried that runs perfectly without frame skipping but too scared to keep it like that.)? If so, what are the harms that may occur? *Im connected to the monitor with Dual Link DVI.

Hey guys. So I'm thinking of picking up a monitor to be paired with my XFX RX 480 GTR 8gb Black Edition. In my country, the only available 24" 1080p 144hz Freesync Monitors are as follows : (NOTE : Shipping isn't possible. My country sucks balls when it comes to shipping costs.) BenQ XL2430T Asus MG248Q ViewSonic XG2401 AOC 2460PF Anyone of you who has experience with the mentioned monitors? I've read reviews about all of them and since all of them sit on that same grey area of both positives and negatives, I took the chance to ask you guys which of the 4 will be the wiser choice. Thanks in advance for those who will respond!

Hello guys!(: So I have saved some money and I am thinking of getting a new monitor soon (in the next 1-3 months hopefully). My rig includes a GTX 1070 (signature for full specs). I am mostly enjoying single player experiences (like The Witcher 3, GTA 5, Deus Ex, Tomb Raider etc..), so I want vibrant and vivid colors, and I don't care about FPS that much. Also playing a lot of League of Legends. My initial thought was to get a 27", 1440p, G Sync, IPS monitor. But damn, the G Sync really gets the price TOO fucking high, so I rejected it. My research have come down to these monitors. Would love to hear opinions/experiences from you. 1. Asus MX27AQ https://pcpartpicker.com/product/xRGj4D/asus-monitor-mx27aq (No Vesa mount, shitty base, awesome panel) 2. Dell U2717D https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QpH48d/dell-monitor-u2717d (pcpartpicker photos have a shitty base, though in some other sites it's the adjustable typical Dell base) Don't know the differences between U2717H etc. I also think this is a newer panel. 3. Viewsonic VX2778-SMHD https://www.amazon.com/ViewSonic-VX2778-SMHD-1440p-Frameless-Monitor/dp/B01GV9H6BE (I'm reading very good reviews about this panel, very vibrant colors etc.) 4. Samsung CHG70 http://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/samsung-chg70 The most expensive choice. It has FreeSync (not ideal for my Nvidia card) but I'm reading it's a steal at this price point. Perhaps best color of them all. The thing is I know nothing about the panels, which is newer (can't find the release date for most), older, better, etc. And those stupid namings are not helping.

I have a GTX 1080 & i7-7700k and I'm looking a good 1440p IPS budget monitor. These 2 are my top options(feel free to suggest any monitor around 300-400 USD). The viewsonic is 360USD while the BenQ is at 380USD in my country. I'm not into competitive gaming. I mostly play rpg like Witcher 3 and the like. I do a lot of photo editing and architectural renderings. Thanks!! Viewsonic- http://ap.viewsonic.com/bd/products/lcd/VX3209-2K.php BenQ- http://www.benq.com/product/monitor/GW2765HT/

HI all, Today I just received a greatly anticipated package in the mail, 2 new monitors to sandwich my BenQ GL2760H. I purchased 2 Viewsonic VA2419-SH 24in monitors but I have stumbled upon a problem. The left monitor is fine and is running at 1920x1080 however, the right monitor is stuck in 4x3 stretched with a resolution of 4x3 and I have tried to fix this in the windows display settings but 1600x1200 is the highest it will go. I have an AMD r9 380 and I have updated all the drivers today as well. This is an SOS to all geeks someone please help me. (below is a screenshot of all monitors, look closely)

I recently purchased a Viewsonic VX2458-MHD. It worked fine for five hours then it suddenly glitched out of no where. I wasn’t changing any settings or messing around with any ports. I’ve tried switching to 1080i and back to 1080p and switching hdmi ports. Thanks in advanced!

Finally I have narrowed down my options to just these 2. Right now I am using asus vg248qe 144hz and I am okay with it but I want freesync so that is why I am switching to one to the above mentioned options. There are soo many positives reviews about the xg2401 but I want to know about the vx2458 c mhd. I like the curved design of it . If does not has any major flaws then I will buy it instead of xg2401 just because it is curved and I like that. But I can't find any reviews about this model so that is why I am asking here. I really want the curved but not if it's bad.

Hi everyone, So I bought a Viewsonic VX3276-2k-mhd monitor which supports 10bit color(at least that's what it says on the website). I'm trying to use 10bit color on the monitor but I'm having trouble doing that. When I searched online, a lot of topics are saying that I can enable it on the nVidia control panel but the options these topics are mentioning are greyed out on my control panel. I'm using a Gigabyte GTX 1070. I'm using a HDMI cable to connect the monitor to the PC. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I have a simple question(s), I am not sure if this was asked before. I'm choosing a new monitor and I'm inclined to buy an inexpensive 170$ Full HD AH-IPS 23" ViewSonic VX2363SMHL, because it has the lowest response time of 2 ms grey-to-grey of the monitors with IPS panels that I've found. I want to buy an all-rounder, that is going to be good for games, movies, photo-editing, reading texts and entertainment, basically for the general use, for a reasonable price. Viewsonic has used overdrive to achieve 2 ms GTG response time with this monitor and there are other similar monitors from other vendors with response times like 4-6 ms, but I'm not sure if they have overdrive enabled by manufacturers. My questions are: will I be able to achieve 2 ms response time on other similar monitors with default response times like 4-6 ms if I enable overdrive on them through their on screen displays, if they have it disabled? Is it worth it to buy 2 ms IPS panel with overdrive forever enabled and can't be turned off in the on-screen-display or I should go for a 4 ms GTG IPS panel? Is it just the overdrive that makes ViewSonic VX2363SMHL react faster than others(or may be the overdrive taken to an extreme), but the IPS panels and the response times in all these similarly priced cheap monitors are essentially very similar? What would you choose 23" ViewSonic VX2363SMHL or 23" Iiyama XU2390HS-B1? Or may be 27" IIYAMA X2783HSU-B3 with A-MVA+ panel or 23.6" IIYAMA X2481HS-B1 with S-MVA? Good bye, Alexander.

So I'm looking at buying a cheap gaming monitor, as I have been using tv's as displays since they added a vga port to tv's. I've watched a few dozen youtube videos so I'm not totally ignorant on the technology. I understand the difference between IPS, TN and VA, I also know about refresh rate and responce time. I just lack hands on experience or more over eyes on experience the 2 displays I'm looking at currently are the Acer XF270H and the ViewSonic XG2701 The Acer is certified refurbished and the ViewSonic is open box clearance. They are both essentially the same price the one is $227 the other $230 and have the same warranty which is no more than a 14 day return window. The specs seem similar aside from differences in the stand, what I'm curious of is who uses better pannels? Am I more likely to get light bleeding or edge glow on one over than the other? Any help would be greatly appreciated. https://www.acer.com/ac/en/GB/content/model/UM.HX0EE.002 https://www.viewsonic.com/id/products/lcd/XG2701.php
