Just as the Subject line says, my Motherboard (Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite WIFI) has a factory made heatsink with a lil fan on it right next to ALL of the PCIE slots on the board and it prevents my 3-fan graphics card (EVGA nvidia Geforce 970 SC) from plugging in all the way. (pictures below) MAIN QUESTION: Is there a way to tell whether or not a Graphics Card is physically compatible with my Motherboard? I've never noticed a height difference of PCIE connections on graphics cards. This pc build is made for a photography business and doesn't need a very powerful GPU (at least from the research I have done, a GPU for adobe programs doesn't need the advanced features which games need, though high GPU memory can be useful) So I will be looking for a new GPU, yet have NO IDEA which GPU to choose due to this physical incompatibility.

I have an old TV just collecting dust in the living room and I'd like to repurpose it by putting it in room. But before I do that I want to consider my options first. What are my options for VESA mounts? I'd prefer a stand but I'm guessing wall mounts would be more common for TVs.

So I bought this second monitor and when I set it all up I realized that the vesa mount for the new one was in the middle, while the old one (the one on the left) was more near the bottom. So when I put them together the left one is higher up than the other one. Ultimately I want them to be on the same level as they are the same size. Is there any solutions for this that doesnt require me to get another mount? purchased a new monitor and now that i have 2 i want to put them on a dual monitor arm but they only seem to be vesa compliant where as both my monitors dont mount to theirs stand with vesa its sort of like a slides on at the top and clips at the bottom, to rremove the screen you have to press a button in and tilt. my question is can you find arms with this type of mount as i dont think vesa will fit, anyone got a solution?

Bought from From Amazon for $32.99 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08863DHR3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The 50 inch TV paperwork says it fits VESA 200 x 200 The TV Stand-Table Top TV Stand says it fits "Compatible with multiple VESA pattern 100x100mm (4"x4")-400x400mm (16"x16")" Can I assume the TV's 200x200 is going to work with this TV Stand-Table Top TV? Also what is the lowest height that the TV can be once attached to this TV stand? I want it low as possible. Thanks for answering these two questions!!!!

Hi guys, I'm planning on getting a decent 27/32" gaming monitor at some point during the black friday sales and I want to mount my current 24" monitor above it vertically but have a couple of concerns: Will any monitor arm be able to achieve the needed height above the new monitor? If not any suggestions for specific monitor arms would be fantastic. I use some cheapo IKEA desk and will need to clamp the stand to it as I don't have a lot of desk space. Will any desk be able to support the weight of the monitor? For those who have their monitors set up like this do you have any "before you try" suggestions or tips? Cheers!

Hey, I am about to buy a VESA desk mount for my dual monitor setup. Currently, my primary monitor is 24" a Samsung S24F356 and my secondary monitor is 21.5". My plan is to use the Samsung one as my secondary monitor and buy a 27" one as a new primary monitor. Now I'm thinking about buying a desk mount that supports two monitors with a size up to 27", so both will fit well. The problem is that the VESA mount of the Samsung monitor is rather low instead of being in the center, while the new monitor's one will probably be centered. As you may know, there are two popular types of dual monitor mounts. The first one has a center column with one arm for both sides. The second type is the one which has no center column but two big arms. I personally like the first type more because I think it looks better. But the issue with this kind of mount is that you cannot adjust the height of each monitor individually. The second type doesn't look that good IMO, but it would easily fix the issue with the low VESA mount of my Samsung monitor. So, my question is this: If I decide to buy the kind of mount with a center column, is there any way to adjust the height of the Samsung monitor, so it's similar to that of the primary one?

My workplace is about to replace some of the AiO's there and this one, I'm keeping an eye on this so that I can use as my secondary/tertiary display and use as a secondary computer at the same time (for vendor support to control as opposed to controlling my desktop). There's also Optiplex 3090's there, but they don't seem to work as standalone monitors, while this one does. My office has a triple monitor mount already setup there (been using a desktop + laptop combo with laptop mounted on a tray attached to one of the arms), and I'm the only one who has a mount there. I'm now trying to find an adapter for it, but I'm having trouble finding one. Can someone help me point to the right direction to a mount that works with it?

Summary It seems like the Video Electronics Standards Association has had enough of various monitor manufacturers getting away with putting half-assed AdaptiveSync implementations on their products, as they today announced a new set of standards and conformance test suites that establish minimum requirements for refresh rate, responsiveness, and jitter for Variable Refresh Rate capable devices. These standards are broken into two different tiers called "AdaptiveSync Display" and "MediaSync Display". AdaptiveSync is intended for high refresh rate gaming displays, while MediaSync is meant for smooth media playback regardless of format. Have the 32' Samsung Space Monitor notorious for its lack of VESA support, I managed to find a work around for a 'clamp' adapter but that leave 2 notches after installation. Nvidia control panel provides option to apply a virtual resolution and effectively cut off the top inch of the display, but the scaling is not coming with repositioning option. Thus, it will form a dark frame which cost the left, right, and bottom inch of the display as well. If there a solution that will does the virtual resolution thing and also allow me to reposition the center of screen lower, so I could keep the maximum screen territory possible after cutting off the notches?

For sit-stand desk reasons, my current desk setup has involved VESA mounting my work laptop. This is great for my neck and lets me use my desk space way more efficiently, but leads to awful cable clutter as the lack of native HDMI or USB-A on a Macbook Air means it's hard to cleanly route cables around awkwardly short and wide dongles. There aren't seemingly any in-spec extension cables either. Has anyone found a good way of handling this? -
Hi all, I just ordered a 144hz monitor with "Freesync" (VESA's Adaptive Sync) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BV1XBEI/ . So I've got a GTX 908 Ti, and don't expect VESA's Adaptive Sync to work over the 980ti's DP1.2 port. Does anyone have a GTX 10xx card, with DP 1.4? VESA is not being explicit in the public docs I've read, as to whether or not DP 1.4 compliance requires support of Adaptive Sync. It looks like it is in "DisplayPort Alt Mode" (see https://www.vesa.org/featured-articles/vesa-launches-full-compliance-test-spec-for-usb-type-c-devices-using-displayport-alt-mode/ ). Hi So im about to buy the acer x34A monitor. But my issue is that my desk is quite shallow, measuring in at 45cm front to back. Therefore the x34's stand would leave me almost no room in front of it. I want to VESA mount it, but ive never used one before, and im having trouble finding one that would fit my desk. My desk around the edges has 8cm deep, 2cm wide oak panels that mean you cant just screw a normal vesa mount onto it (see attatched pics) Are there any vesa mounts that have more than 2cm of space to allow for the screw-plunger thingy to go on the inside of the desk? Or would there be another solution to mount this monitor that wouldnt involve a drill?

Hey guys, I'm looking to remaking my whole setup considering I bought 4 monitors to try out for the past 6 months, and I'm planning to do so by stringing them up with a VESA mount with 3 on the horizontal and one on top of the middle monitor. The models of the monitors are the BenQ XL2720Z, the Dell U2715H, and two of the LG 29UM68-P. I know that these monitors are not 34", there is no other way I can fit those other 29" ultrawides, as they are too long to fit on a VESA mount for 27" monitors. BenQ in the middle, Dell on top, and the two ultrawides on the sides. I'd like to know if there are any VESA mounts that can achieve this, and if so, please go ahead and direct me to them.If not, then I might have try to build my own VESA mount to fit these monitors, as I cannot stand seeing my monitors not in use. I'm currently thinking of getting a cheap monitor from ebay and putting it w/ my current monitor using a duo vesa stand or smthing similar. But then I realized that the monitor I have (this) is using this samsung-only stand and has no VESA mount brackets. Ok. I tried doing some research and came up with these fancy "adapters" that can hold the monitor on their edges. BUT, this monitor is curved. Back to the drawing board. Then, I found this. http://gladiatorjoe.com/Samsung-27-Curved-LED-Monitor-CF591-Series-VESA-Mount-GJ0A0071.htm It's a vesa mount from Gladiator Joe, made just for this monitor. BUT... I'm pretty much stuck with this stand for now. Any Ideas guys?

Hello all, I've been in the market for a second display for my PC, and I can't seem to find a decent 1080p IPS monitor with Vesa compatibility, preferably with DVI for input, that costs less than $149 USD. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm ok with going a bit above that price if it hits all the right notes. Thanks!

Need Help Finding: i have an Acer Predator XB321HK 32" 4K UHD monitor and i can't seem to find any info on a adapter for a VESA mount. this monitor has a cavity when you take off the stand so i'm pretty sure an adapter is needed. any help wud be appreciated.

Hey everyone! I'm going to be picking up a x34 at some point which is 3440x1440p, and eventually I would like to put portrait 1440p monitors on both sides. These won't be used for gaming, mostly for reading/coding/maybe an occasional video, so they don't need to be really good monitors, but they do need to be vesa compatible. I was originally looking at this, but I don't believe the newer models have vesa mounts. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for a dual monitor VESA mounting system that can do both stacked & side by side orientation. I've never used either before so that's why I need both because I don't know which will work out best with my desk. I've measured my monitors already & in order for them to fit side by side, I'd need to shove my PC back in the corner at an angle but even then the arm might not clear my side panel. Stacked would solve this but then I may not be able to slide my keyboard under the screens. Currently I can't do this either because the single display I'm running is resting on top of one of those plastic tubs you soak your feet in so it'll sit at the right height. Which is a major nuisance when it comes time to eat & the paper plate must hang off the desk or be folded to fit. The back side of my desk is 5.5" thick due to the 2x4 brace so unless the clamp can accommodate that then screwing whatever mounting system to the top is necessary. My screens are 19.5" 1600x900 but I'd like to upgrade to dual 24" 1080p in the future.

Hello, I have a 23-inch Apple Cinema Display that I'm wanting to use with a VESA mount. I am 6'4, and have measured that I'll need the mount to reach at least 20 inches (51cm) above my desk for optimal ergonomics. My budget is ~$100 USD, though I can go higher if I have to. I'm sick of using this monitor on a box that still isn't tall enough. Bonus points if the mount can handle 20lb (9kg) so when I upgrade to an ultrawide monitor there'll be minimum fuss. There are these WALI and Mount-It! stands I have found that fit my criteria. For the mount adapter I have found these three, AMER Mounts, Human Centric 1, and Human Centric 2. I recently bought a 32inch 4k monitor, it looks great and I love it but I want the panel lower down because I find myself craning my neck when I look at the top of the screen. The monitor has a 100x100 vesa mount on the back but every stand I've tried so far basically keeps the height at the exact same height that the included mount has it at. Does anyone know of a vesa monitor stand (not an arm or anything like that) that has a very low panel height so I can have the monitor at a more comfortable eye level? I have included a photo of the monitor at my desk, if I cant find one that gets it any lower I might look into making a custom stand myself. Edit: the monitor is 10.5 cm off the desk or about 4 inches
