So I've installed this in all my previous laptops. But it won't install in my current one. Specs : Model : ASUS TUF Dash F15 FX516PM Processor : i7 11340H GPU: RTX 3060 BIOS: SMBIOSBIOSVersion FX516PM.322 All the previous versions I've tried didn't work either. Note: I have ASUS Armory Crate installed, have seen it creating log files in a XTU folder in C:\Program Data\Intel\Intel XTU\Logs. Not sure if this has to do with anything, but thought to mention it here. Can anyone help?

I recently built my first PC. I have a 7950X CPU, a Radeon 6950XT, 2x16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 DDR5 6000MHz RAM, and a X670 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard. I would like to know the full capabilities of my new rig and how it compares with other hardware out there via benchmarking. What are the best benchmarking utilities out there?

So i ordered this bluetooth dongle for my pc because i wanted to use my ps4 controller wirelessly that was about half a month ago i waited so long for it to come and it did, unfortunately tho it didn't work out of the box it would scan correctly but would keep connecting forever this happened with my own computer and my brother's too, so i did a bit of digging around and found a driver that made it work but it had it's flaws it didn't work natively with windows and you need to have the utility app always open for it to work and it also screws with this pc it adds extra bloat to it, so i was asking here if anyone knew how to extract the .inf driver file from the setup file to make it plug and play with native support for windows, i really don't want to return it and wait forever again for one like my brother's to arrive which does work plus and play. anyhelp is appreciated the bluetooth dongle is a csr 4.0 dongle btw i can't attach the setup file because it's too big but i'll link it https://download.informer.com/win-1192477475-c52463cc-68c9eae5/orico_bluetooth_4.0_adapter_driver_cd.zip

Basically allows you to create a network anywhere. What do you guys think?

So I recently built a new rig with an i7-7700 and I wanted to try and keep it a bit more under control. Both for the sake of power use and heat generation (and therefore temperature). My previous computer with a Gigabyte motherboard had a utility (EasyTune) that had an 'Eco' mode, and my other computer with an ASrock motherboard has its own ASrock utility that has a great 'Green' mode, or something like that. My new MSI motherboard has no such tools, even MSI Command Center only allows lowering the ratio to a point where there is no Turbo Boost, and that doesn't get remembered after reboot. I already tried Intel XTU, it seems more or less useless for what I'm trying to do. Using the Windows Power settings I can enable Power Saver mode and enter a Minimum CPU state of 5%, and the CPU indeed adjusts its voltage and clocks more or less as needed, lowering power consumption by ~5W when at or near idling. TL;DR Are there any other utilities that can give me some better control over my CPU? ALSO can someone who actually knows CPUs tell me if the power saver mode is safe for the CPU? I'm a bit worried since it's constantly fluctuating the voltage from about 0.6V to about 1.15V on the various cores, as needed.

Hi, my wifi card is Asus PCE-AC68. I have the latest drivers installed and it works fine. The only problem is that Asus's wireless utility software does not open for me. The wireless utility I am talking about is in the attached picture. I have seen many online guides where people simply open this software up. But after installing it, it does not open for me. I have attached images of my network driver being the most up to date, it is version v2143. The last picture shows the utility installed and the highlighted application is what i click to open but nothing happens.

I need a free disk partition tool to do a couple of things. First, I need to convert a dynamic disk to basic without losing any data. Second I need to extend a partition into an empty volume backwards, hence why I can't do it in the windows tool. Thanks in advance.

Just that ^.

Hello! When i start my computer i have CUE set to start with it but after some time, about 10 to 30 min., all my makros and the page forward/ backward buttons on my mouse an keyboard stop working. I have to restart CUE for everything to work again but it happens again after some time. I already tried to reinstall, delete all profiles, installed cue on different drives. If somebody could help i would be really thankfull.

So I was working on one of external drives. I took all the data i wanted. Went to disk management. I first deleted the pre-existing volumes, and deleted the partitions. Then I created a new simple volume. I gave it a format, but during the format i nudged my laptop and drive disconnected. Now on connecting it, even though I hear the alert of a device being connected, and the LED blinking on the drive's case, it isn't showing up on MY PC, but it is showing up on disk management. What do I do???

So i have this old 1.2 tb hard drive that has some bad sectors, and it only has around 200 gb used with over 80% of it free. I just got my hands on a new WD 1tb Blue, and i was wondering if i could used Colnezilla to copy it into the newer drive. I hoped it would work since the old one only has 200ish Gb of used storage but since its a 1.2 tb HDD I do not know if the cloning process will work on a 1tb HDD, and yes the old 1.2HDD is the boot drive that is why i wan to clone it. Also if you guys know any better programs then Clonezilla please let me know. Thanks

Hey there, so I was thinking of changing my calendar app on my phone(android) from the basic app and that made me curious on what the community is using for their phone or PC. Doesn't matter if android, apple, or windows. I'm just curious and if you add why you prefer that app it would be great.

utility Efficia [Multi-Keyboard Macro Manager]
levileague posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
EFFICIA After seeing the video about Tarans OVER 9000!!! macros I decided since I am going to a school were I have to code anyways I could show off this project to my teachers and help other peeps. Development Status: W.I.P. (Working on GUI elements) Ok. I know maybe there are other solutions for this problem but I would like to make it more easy for peeps like Taran who are video editors and shouldn't have to worry about such stuff as macro coding in AHK or HidMacro. I am making this post because I want to ask you, the community (and maybe Taran [If you read this Taran; keep up the good work dude!]), to help me bring this project to the light of day! If you want to help maybe post some ideas below! I am currently working on the GUI so if you have an idea about how I should handle setup of macros, dont be afraid of telling me below (sry for the bad english im from Austria (not Australia) PS: Right now I need to know how to implement stuff, in other words if it should be a window where you can setup macros or an icon in the task bar. I am gonna link this topic to the video Taran made about his macro setup. Maybe he can tell me how he, as a professional who has such things in his arsenal, would like this to be. -

Hello, I came here seeking for the endless knowledge of the LLT comunity This wednesday I'm gonna take my Gamecube USB controller adaptor to the univerisity, so we can play some games while we wait for the result of our finals. However, on those computers we don't have access to the administrator account, and almost every setting from the control panel has been blocked. This GC controller adaptor needs to be calibrated before use, and since the default USB gamepad utility has been blocked, is there any other alternative way (software/program) to calibrate them?

Today I received an update for my K95 RGB with the following patch notes (inside the .zip download): Release Notes -CUE 1.7.106 is the latest release for our RGB line of peripherals and contains a multitude of changes and enhancements. Enhancements - CUE Link is a new enhancement that allows for lighting patterns to extend from a Corsair RGB keyboard to other Corsair RGB peripherals such as Sabre and M65 RGB. Simple lighting patterns such as pulse and shift will allow for simultaneous color change between devices whereas multiple color patterns like Rainbow Wave will start from the keyboard and end at the mouse. (Note: This feature does require a combination of Corsair RGB peripherals) - CUE now supports the Corsair Gaming STRAFE keyboard, the newest addition to our peripheral line-up. For more information, please visit http://www.corsair.com/en/landing/strafe . - CUE GUI now uses the new Corsair Gaming Logo. Fixes - Sniper light indicator is now properly lit red. - Resolved issue with Macro Repeat speed at 1ms. - Brightness setting at 0 properly displays no color (Off). - Resolved other various minor issues. Interesting question: my Macbook Pro often gets quite hot form time to time, and the internal fans don't seem to do enough to cool it. Anyone know of some trustworthy utilities to control fan speeds within the OSX environment? I've seen some by doing a ye ole' google search, but I'd trust the opinion of anyone on here that's used it before the shady (and frankly lackluster) reviews on those tools. Currently running Mavericks.

I just noticed that I couldn't alter settings in NV control panel, I am having the same issue as many others apparently. GFE is apparently holding a file open, and thus preventing NVCPL from doing things. Anyhow I decided to start trying to find a way to fix this, like stopping GFE from launching at startup. Then in system configurator I found that the aforementioned process is running, and launching on startup. I remember removing ALL AMD software from my PC, express uninstalled drivers, but still this process persists. A little googling showed me that it is apparently safe to disable, for some it even fixed a similar issue with CCC not saving settings, or resetting them after reboot. I want to know if there is any way to uninstall it completely, I am rather certain that I have little to no need for AMD software on my system, especially if it isn't even an actual driver for audio or something like that. Just found GFE in here too, I am going to stop that from launching at startup, I just want to change some settings, but I don't want to uninstall it.

I need a program that can keep track of changes to files in a specified folder and whenever a new file appears in the folder it gives the user an option to rename the file and save it (cut it) to a different location on the computer. I would be amazed if something like this already exists, but if it doesn't, do you think it would be an easy thing to program? Thanks.

As Intel reported a few days ago, they plan to showcase how to overclock at least some of their solid-state drives at the upcoming Intel Developer Forum trade-show. It turns out that the company’s Intel extreme tuning utility (Intel XTU) already carries certain code that futher reveals overclocking capabilities of Intel SSDs. The code will be activated in next versions of XTU and will allow to boost performance of solid-state storage. These parts of the code reveal that intel XTU will allow to set the frequency of the SSD controllers, set the bus frequency of the NAND memory at 83MHz or 100MHz and also modify the power settings between "limited" "typical" or "unconstrained" to adjust the balance between performance and power consumption. Unfortunately XTU only allows tuning performance of only specified SSDs, so not all SSDs will be overclockable. Hopefully other manufacturers will follow suit with their own SSD utilities. Intel Developer Forum 2013 will take place from September 10 to 12 so expect more news during that event. Source: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/storage/display/20130827235544_Further_Details_Regarding_Intel_SSD_Overclocking_Emerge.html Above all I'm curious how much difference this will do to random access read and writes, sequential speeds are already at the point where overclocking would be bottlenecked by the SATA interface, although Intel plans to launch the SATA express interface next year which should increase transfer rates to 8 or 16Gb/s

Hey Guys, We recently picked up some replacement Dell Optiplex 745 (The small slimline formfactor versions) PC's as backups for our existing ones of the same model. They all run Windows XP, and have "supposedly" the same specs. I'm cloning our setup from an existing computer onto the new ones. However, the HDD's in the new ones are a different model, and are slightly smaller in size (Both are "80GB"). The issue is that clonezilla won't clone to the new HDD because it's a bit too small to fit the partition, and clonezilla doesn't support auto-resizing during cloning. I know I could just go in and manually shrink the partition a bit using GParted or something, but I'm looking for a HDD cloning program that will auto-resize the partition to the new HDD. I prefer something that runs on a Live CD/USB, but will accept something that can be installed on Windows XP. The software must be free though, as I have zero budget for this. i tried using EaseUS Partition Master free edition, because it supposedly has this feature, but when attempting to use the software, it tells me that there is not enough space on the destination drive and will not continue. I'm currently trying a program called "Raw Copy" from Roadkil. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

A few days ago EVGA released the new (supposedly "100% own written") PrecisionX 15, which was identified by Guru3D as looking like a Riva Tuner copy (read more on this here). Guru3D warned EVGA but the release was not stopped. While it wasn't well received due to this fact, there were no claims up to this point of EVGA stealing code. However yesterday a third party decompiled PrecisionX 15 and found traces of Rivatuner. Now EVGA has decided to temporarily take down PrecisionX 15 and go back to the drawing board. EVGA have released a statement commenting on this issue: Sources: http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/evga-retracts-precisionx-15-download-issues-a-statement.html http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/evga-steals-the-rivatuner-rtss-design-concept-into-precisionx-15.html http://www.evga.com/precision/
