  1. A few weeks ago, UFD Deals advertised a discount for a Glorious GMMK 60% barebone keyboard. I ended up talking to one of my friends about it. He talked me out of buying it at the time. Mainly because I had already bought an 8BitDo Retro keyboard to replace my Red Dragon K556 RGB, but I changed my mind about buying the keyboard. I couldn't resist the price and the prospect of a project. I had already upgraded the keycaps for my Red Dragon and had a bunch of switches from one of those Amazon returns stores. The switches I used are from Kailh switch sampling sets, so they were just a mismatch of keys. When my friend saw the keyboard, he was horrified and disgusted. I will admit that the keyboard is very unusual, but there was a method to my madness. I set all the clicky keys as shift, control, alt, etc. Except for my right control and alt because I ran out of clicky keys and wasn't sure what to do with my spare yellows. I use the rest of my yellows for my space bar, Q, and E keys. It is mainly to be different from WASD, which uses red switches just like the R key. T, F, G, N, and M keys all use orange switches, not reds. I mainly use the rest of the keys to differentiate between my right and left hand. I don't know what to do with the number row yet. However, I do want two more white keys for my brackets. I hope this post isn't too cursed, but I would be happy to take any suggestions you guys have.
  2. So today I've been running for 6 hours now and without any gaming just youtube my cpu has got to 75 degrees. This is really strange because just been watching yt vids at a room temp of 23 and outside of 29 is this ok? It is a Ryzen 3 3200g with stock cooler.
  3. I am using a prebuilt HP pavillion Desktop pc, I can't really remember the model number but it has a i7-7700 gtx 1050 8gb ram and a 1TB HDD. So, the other day, my brother was playing apex legends with his friends, at some point he got hardware banned (he told me he doesn't know why, but I think he somehow cheated). He told me he searched online and found a "spoofer", he used it and got a BSOD (I think it spoofed the drives only), afterwards, when I tried turning on the computer, I got 2 short beeps and 2 long ones, I searched online and found a "solution" where they told me to hold down the windows + B keys while booting on the pc, but that didn't work for me. When I boot up my pc, I get the beeps and no display output. Online I got the answer that it is a motherboard issue, so do I have to just swap out the motherboard or can I somehow fix it without having to buy a new one, thanks.
  4. So i recently built a new computer that has a Ryzen 3 3100 paired with an ASRock Pro4-F B450M and 16GB of 3000mhz RAM (tested at @ 1.35v) from g.skill (Aegis one) combo'd with a 1660 Super from Gainward and i've been having issues. I went into the BIOS and set the XMP profile on my RAM like anyone would do. At first there were no boot up issues but i started getting BSODs when i was multitasking. so i went back into the BIOS and set the RAM to 2933Mhz @ 1.35v and the BSOD stopped. But then my games started crashing very randomly. Not at startup, but like in the middle of the game. So i went back once again and set the voltage @ 1.30 and that fixed the issue in most of my games. Now RDR2 is crashing and so i set the RAM once again to its default state (2133mhz @ 1.20v) and that didnt fix the issue. So now im very confused. I searched it up on google and did every step that was mentioned and still no fix. At the moment im doing a registry fix as i think that might be the issue because its taking unusually long. I also dont think that its my RAM because even though i defaulted the clock speed, the error still occurs. Should i run a MemTest86? Im sorry if this is annoying to read but i dont know how to make this more simple. Thank you for any reply, and literally anything will help alot. Much love.
  5. Although I can't build this right now, I have an awesome idea for a pc but I don't know know if the idea is at all physically realistic. Is it at all possible to build a gaming pc in an old-timey diving helmet? Some quick research shows that the size of the opening on most diving helmets is about 8.5 inches in diameter which then leads to a sphere which has a larger internal radius. This is the only information I could find so I apologize if that is enough information to go off of.
  6. Hi there, I'm new to this community so I may not be able to cover all the details I've missed. A month ago I've got a used Galax GTX 1060 from a friend and started mining on Hiveos Linux system, everything seems normal until a few days ago, it crashed due to cuda error: "The launch timed out and was terminated" (code:6) from NBMiner. I tried rebooting but still the same error happened every 3minutes it had booted up, then I removed the gpu and the problem was solved for the rig. Later, I installed the gpu in my normal windows rig, my specs are followed: Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor, 3800 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) Motherboard: MSI B550 GAMING EDGE ATX GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB RAM: Corsair 16GB 3200MHz DDR4 (x2) PSU: ASUS ROG STRIX 750W GOLD PSU It booted up surprisingly without major issues, yet until I tried booting up Dead by Daylight on my device, the game started running for a minute then the screen froze while the audio was playing, shorty after the whole game crashed. After I tried booting up some other games like Minecraft, Roblox and Euro Truck Simulator 2. Minecraft and Euro Truck Simulator 2 were able to boot without problem but the game Roblox got the same result. Later I have found multiple forums on the internet and tried the following fixes: Uninstalling and reinstalling Nvidia GPU driver Install Nvidia CUDA driver Underclocking my GPU on MSI Afterburner Checking on GPU-Z if GPU not detected (It appeared to be normal) When everything didn't work out, I reinstalled windows. However, the problem still remained after reinstalling (or even worsening), I got Wallpaper Engine on my device it used to work probably and now it just wouldn't boot probably. Then, I changed my focus on hardware and tried several fixes: Replacing 2 Corsair ram with another spare 2 Corsair ram (also underclocking which didn't work) Replacing my GPU with my old Rx 580 (it worked probably but after swapping back the problem remained) When I thought all hope was lost and tried benchmarking, the funny part is the gpu was able to run different benchmarks without graphics glitches or freezes. Now I am really confused, I could figure out it must be something wrong with the cuda, but it seems to be a rare case for both the gaming and mining community. It even reaches the professional server-level field. As an ordinary miner and gamer, it seems out of my reach for solving. Now the gpu was used for basic uses. If anyone with adequate knowledge about this problem, please help, I'm willing to post anything needed. Thanks, T
  7. Hello everyone interested. I've been trying to help someone get a game running on his new PC he purchased for weeks now. I've helped other people with this exact error message and have tried everything that usually fixes the issue. (Detailed later in the "What I've tried" list). The game in question is Age of Empires Online. It's prerequsites are DirectX 9, DirectPlay, and C++ Redistrobutables. (For anyone that looks into the game and sees that the game was canceled years ago, it's playable using a fan project, Celeste.) The error he occurs about 20-30 minutes into playing the game. This is the error message: What I've tried: Complete reinstallation of every C++ Redist. library. (This is the most common fix that I have people do. And it worked about 90% of the time) Ran a chkdsk. (This fixes it for some people I've worked with) Did what I could to check for any weird hardware instability. (Ran some benchmarks, watched HWMonitor, etc) Eventually, I just helped him do a full/clean re-format and install of windows 10. Even on that clean install, the only thing we did was the necessary steps to install the game, and yet it still failed. (Plus I installed all the drivers too) On the same clean install of windows 10, I had him try it in safe mode incase it's some weird driver thing (Which I doubt). This did not help. So yeah. I've exhausted all I can think to do. I've worked with people to get this exact game running for 2-3 years or so now and I've never had something like this. Part of me wonders if it's some weird thing with the RX 6600 since I know that card had a rocky launch, but I dont think it'd be this type of issue if it was that. Anyway, if anyone can help, it'd be greatly appreciated. I'm going to follow this thread closely and try to keep it alive since going to the internet is all I can do for the guy now. Thank you to anyone willing to read all of this. (Here' the basic hardware specs of the PC, btw) Hardware List: Asus TUF B550-Plus Ryzen 9 5950x RX 6600 P.S. This arguably isnt even a software issue since it fails even on a completely clean install of windows. But I didnt want to post it in one of the hardware categories.
  8. Hi, So I am building a pc and simply don't have room for a reservoir. I know it sounds weird, but trust me I have reasons. I'm actually building it into a robotic submarine, and the enclosure for the computer is pretty tiny. So I just can't find room for a reservoir. Is it possible to not have one, and do you have any advice for me? Thanks! -Seth
  9. So my new board the asus rog rampage 10 comeS with a front slot little audio amp thing that attaches by usb header and is powered by molex I belive, can't remember that one but owell. here is the thing instead of great audio I get this terrible whiney audio with a crazy level of background noise. also when the cpu and gpu get under high load it gets louder to the point of just be noise and audio, stop the sound and it sounds like when a speaker cable is plugged in half way. what the heck is going on here? any ideas?
  10. Hi all, So I live in Australia, and I don’t yet have nbn (what a surprise). I’m still on an ADSL connection, and we recently moved houses and got a new modem. While connecting and testing the network, I had a quick look at the splitter/filter that plugs into the wall outlet. As it turns out, the in/out ports on the splitter are pretty weird, at least to me. They fit an RJ45 connector, but they only have 4 contacts in the port (Is 8P4C a thing?). But, RJ11 connectors are used for phone lines and ADSL connections. So telstra have little plastic inserts that convert the RJ45 into an RJ11. What is the point of all this conversion even though there’s only 4 contacts in the port!?
  11. hey Guys, came across this AMD radeon Graphics card in an old PC. I have never come across the type of output connector before. Looks similar size to DVI, but the Pins are different. Can someone enlighten me and where I could find a convertor cable to output to regular DVI or HDMI? PICS ATTACHED> many thanks AS

  13. i am planning to buy a vr headset, but sense i am using an upgraded hp build, i dont have any usb 3.0, so i am planning to install a usb 3.0 pci card, but my only empty pcie 1x slot is covered by the cooler of the gpu. would these type of risers work? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/EN-Labs-PCI-E-X1-to-1X-Riser-Extension-Cable-90-Degree-PCIe-1X-to-1X/32845284482.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/NEW-PCI-E-PCI-E-Express-1X-to-1X-Extender-Adapter-Riser-Card-USB-3-0/32861786961.html?spm=2114.10010108.1000014.3.68887ceffBPdoz&traffic_analysisId=recommend_3035_null_null_null&scm=1007.13338.98539.000000000000000&pvid=12a74815-67d6-41a6-9812-7ad7b7ad1da2&tpp=1 AND also would this type of card work ? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2-Port-USB-3-0-PCI-Express-Card-3-5-Motherboard-Floppy-Disk-Bay-Front-Panel/32658878561.html?spm=a2g0s.13010208.99999999.262.bPtMHd
  14. Yo, my peeps, my hombres, and my brothers (or sisters) from another mother. I'm sick of all that usual stuff. I've seen so many Skylake builds, so many budget builds and so many hyper-expensive builds that I'm starting to think ya'll are part of a hive-mind or something. It's just repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition, repetition and more repetition. I want to see your weird builds, either spawned from the devil of boredom, lack of any type of funds or from the curiosity of trekking on unknown territory. Show me your secrets. I myself have (in my humble opinion) have quite a weird build. I'll share it with you if you ask. I'll let you look into my Pandora's box.
  15. Got my mom an LG Optimus G Pro a while ago. Everything went well back then so I didn't really checked on her phone at all. Recently went on a family trip and noticed her phone ran dry rather quickly as she complained quite a bit while we were out. Upon closer examination I found out she only had roughly 2.5 hours of screen on time! This is definitely not right. As I have never dealt with such problems before I need advise on how I should tackle this problem. If this helps: I can provide more info if necessary. All suggestions are appreciated thanks!
  16. I'm finally getting back to this build after a long time of it being a secondary project... Ivy-E is out now and I'm after a bit of sanity checking / parts advice. I know it's a bit of a weird one, so the sanity check parts may or may not be valid at times For the moment, the main aspect of this topic is to tie down the parts to enough of a degree to finish off the design on my case - from that, the rest of the build can progress. 1. Budget & Location The budget is fluid at the moment - I know some aspects are going to cost a lot, where as some can be chosen on a cost / performance basis. My location is in the UK. 2. Aim The system is to take over my current rig - both a gaming and CAD system. Gaming is to be the latest and greatest at max settings (something we all want ). The games are generally going to be FPS with all the bells and whistles cranked up full; Farcry 3, Sleeping Dogs, GTA V (if and when it comes to PC), etc. CAD is to be both drawing and 3D rendering with Solidworks for the moment, but will hopefully spread to other software. 3. Monitors I plan on running 3 monitors in surround plus a 4th for accessories or lightweight CAD programs. Not sure on the resolutions as of yet - aiming for 1080p on all 4 monitors, possibly higher on the surround screens, screen size to be larger than the current 1920x1080 23" screen I'm currently using; although, this may end up being the 4th monitor as it'll do 120hz and is 3D rated. 4. Peripherals It is going to be a Windows 7 based rig (have got this already), monitors, keyboard, and mouse will need purchasing. 5. Why are you upgrading? The current rig is 6 / 7plus years old and has had to be overclocked from 2.66GHz to 3.6GHz to make it still viable - it's just old and I'm in need of an update. Below is a bit more of an insite to the (in)sanity behind the build - I've copied it from the post I just made on the original thread from another forum... With Ivy-E releasing for socket 2011, and funds starting to become available... I'm in need of refreshing my plans for my new PC - tie down the hardware and I can get my case design finished. The original plan was for a Gigabyte UD9 on X58 - yeah, that's when this plan originally surfaced. That then revised to a socket 2011 board with 7x PCIE x16 physical slots - ASRock Extreme 11; with it's ability to run x16/x8/x8/x8/x8/x8/x8. I briefly looked at the MSI Bigbang 2... but that just sucks in specs (1 x16, 3 x8 and 3 x1) But, now with Ivy-E coming out, I'm hoping for new boards - the Extreme 11 is still a possibility, but the EVGA X79 Dark (5 x PCIe x16/x8, 1 x PCIe x4), or the ASUS P9X79-E WS (x16/x8/x8/x8/x16/x8/x8) are also looking promising. Any thoughts on a beasty Socket 2011 board with many PCIe slots? The rig is to replace my current, aging rig (6 / 7 plus years old), and has two main purposes: Gaming (latest and greatest on multi monitor - maybe even 3D) & CAD (both drawing and rendering - Solidworks at the moment). It is also to last as long as possible (love to get 6 / 7 years out of it), as such, I'm aiming for the best possible parts to try and keep a good level of performance for a long time. Parts plus thoughts / reasons: Motherboard: Unknown... Extreme 11 (original choice) / X79 Dark (slightly less connectivity than the other two) / P9X79-E WS (best PCIe distribution, poor colour scheme, workstation board...) CPU: Not decided as of yet... RAM: Not decided as of yet... 16GB possibly higher if I look more into RAM drives... GPU (Gaming): GTX770 / GTX780 - two or three of them, possibly one used for dedicated PhysX... GPU (CAD): Quadro GPU... I've heard of issues with driver compatability between Geforce and Quadro on the same PC, so it may have to be a dual boot system; set towards Gaming or CAD. One of Linus' WAN shows mentioned that Dezel is going to have a system with one of each - so I'm waiting on that implementation. RAID card: Areca 1880 card with support for eight HDDs in RAID 5 or RAID 6 (The build has been in the planning so long, so, I need a refresh my research) Sound Card: ASUS Xonar (The build has been in the planning so long, the bookmark doesn't work now - so, again, I need a refresh on the choice) TV Card: ASUS My Cinema (The build has been in the planning so long, the bookmark doesn't work now - so, again, I need a refresh on the choice) Depending upon the card choices, a PCIe X4 to 4x PCIe x1 slots for the TV and Sound cards... yes, this may introduce issues or latency... Storage (SSD): two or four drives - probably in RAID Storage (HDD): eight WD drives - originally was going to be REDs, but need to check if the five or six drive limit is just on the enclosure; or on the total drive count in the array. Intending to have them in two banks of four... There will be other parts in there, but they kind of depend on the above parts... Space for the parts isn't going to be an issue - shall be implementing flexible riser cards for the PCIe slots; these feed two banks of 12 slots on the case. Yes, there will probably be some latency on these cables... but, I have done some benchmarks with existing cables on this rig, and they don't have that much effect. This is an old system (socket 775 board + GTX470), I do realise that the effect may be more noticeable on a new system - especially if the motherboard is using PLX chips. Software / benchmarks used: Crysis Benchmark (3 run setting), Mafia II Benchmark (3 separate runs), Metro 2033 Benchmark (3 run setting), FluidMark (3 separate runs), Heaven Benchmark (3 separate runs), 3D Mark 06, GPU-Z & CUDA-Z. The build will start on air, but then migrate accross to liquid cooling at a later stage. There's probably more to add.. but it's been a while since I put deep thought into it - will add as things come back to me / questions or comments get added
  17. Hello. I have a lot to say, be prepared. I've been having computer issues for roughly two years, which specifically relates to my games crashing and freezing. Results over this time up to now have suggested a problem with the graphics card. My graphics card specifically is the "Geforce Gigabyte 780ti WINDFORCE EDITION OC." I am going to explain what occurs on an average crash / freezing session, and hopefully someone can identify what is wrong, and how to fix these problems. It all began almost 2 year ago with my old computer. It was terrible, so I wanted to upgrade it. I bought a 780ti Gigabyte WINDFORCE graphics card, along with a CS750M PSU from Corsair. I installed both of these, having done intense research to do it correctly. After doing so, I immediately noticed extreme deterioration in my computer's performance. The BIOS could not be accessed, as there would sometimes be a screen from "American megatrends" and sometimes from "Advent." Attempts to enter the BIOS would result in a permanent black screen, which would not go away unless the computer was turned off. Playing games resulted in the crashes I've explained below, along with one occurrence of a blue screen of death. My computer's boot up time took 20 minutes. I came to the conclusion that my extremely high end parts were overpowering the other, in-superior parts. An old Foxxconn (unsure of the company name) motherboard, an i7 2500k proccessor, 8gb ram, and a 2tb HDD. It came to a point where I couldn't use the computer at all. Requesting windows media player to play some music would sometimes happen, but ultimately would stop working, indicating a problem with the motherboard communicating with the HDD. Games wouldn't make it a few seconds into gameplay before forcing me to watch noticeable FPS drops before a crash. Ultimately, I decided to build a new system at the beginning of the year 2014 in January. I transported over my newly bought PSU and 780ti WINDFORCE graphics card to my new system. My "new system" statistics go as follows: i7 4770k Dark Rock 3 CPU cooler. 16gb Vengenace Corsair RAM. Z87 G65 MSI GAMING motherboard. AX 860 PSU Gigabyte GTX 780ti WINDFORCE EDITION OC. <----- 90% certainty that this is the problem. Windows 8.1 250gb SSD 1TB HDD To my disgust, the crashing had remained. The other odd properties such as the BIOS being unresponsive and 20 minute startup times were gone completely, so I am able to use my computer normally, EXCEPT GAMING. As I have previously stated, I have listed and detailed the crashes I've experienced below, but read them when you get to them. Beforehand, I thought the problem was the PSU, and I ended up RMA'ing TWO faulty PSU's in a row, firstly my CS750M I bought originally, and then another new CS750M entirely (the one they sent as a replacement), so eventually I bought an AX860 platinum PSU, to hopefully rule out issues relating the the power, yet the problem still persisted. Strangely enough, the first PSU's RMA report stated that it was apparently "causing the computer to shut down under heavy load" as I could barely play over 5-30 mins of any game. The second PSU ran fine for an entire day, and I had no problems. However, the next day, it crashed more often than the first. The RMA error report stated the same as the first, apparently it was shutting down under heavy load. And now, even with the AX860, it is as if nothing has changed, so the power supply has been ruled out as NOT the problem, despite the crashing still existing. It would be beyond unlikely that the AX860 is faulty. I then sent off my WINDFORCE 780ti, as it was the only other possible cause of this problem, yet the RMA returned NOT FAULTY! I asked them to test and test again, on Crysis 3 and Battlefield 4, and even with these extra tests, apparently, nothing was wrong. I once owned Crysis 3 on my older system, and it never crashed. This is an extreme anomaly, as every other modern day game did crash. Older, less demanding games never crashed however, such as Team Fortress 2, Half Life 2 and Star wars battlefront 2. I do not believe these results are accurate, and I still think there's a problem with the card, but I am unable to RMA it as I bought it back at Christmas time, it is now 8 months ahead, and I have already contacted Scan computers (the retailers I bought the card off) and they have confirmed I cannot get a refund or replacement. So, to try and discover what the cause could be, here are more details: The games I've played the most with this seemingly broken graphics card are: Battlefield 4 (crashes / freezes) Assassins' creed: Black Flag (crashes / freezes, more often than all) Counter Strike: Global Offensive (crashes / freezes) Left 4 dead one and two (rarely crashes and freezes, but still capable) Team Fortress 2. (never crashed or frozen) and Farcry 3. (crashes / freezes) I'll explain what happens in detail. The games stated above crash in slightly different ways, all of which I'll explain, this suggests that the behaviour of the results are HIGHLY UNPREDICTABLE. Sometimes I can play for hours at a time with very high performance and FPS, but sometimes I will have 40-55 fps and stuttering a lot of the time, REGARDLESS of graphical settings until eventually I experience a crash. Please note that. Here are all of the different "crashes" I have experienced for all of this time. 1. (main crash/freeze) The screen will absolutely freeze, and the sound will totally stop, no more will be heard. I will be forced to stare at a frozen, unresponsive screen for around 3-5 seconds. The screen then turns black and apparently loses connection as the power button on my screen turns orange (standby) as my computer's fans make more noise, almost as if it has restarted. The screen will then regain signal, and I'll be returned to an unresponsive desktop. In place of my desktop itself will be a totally black screen of which nothing can be interacted with. The mouse icon will dissapear if it ventures anywhere near it, and I have to "ctrl, alt, del" to regain my mouse icon (only if it stays within the task manager box) The only responsive part of the screen is the task bar below, but it is seemingly useless, as the only helpful thing to do in such a horrific state is to turn off the computer entirely. Task manager is accessible but the games will very rarely respond to my "end now" command, and the black screen will continue. Rarely I will still have my desktop background and icons in place instead of total blackness, but it will still be totally unreachable or accessible. 2. (rarer, yet similar crash/freeze) The screen will freeze for longer, but the sound will continue as if nothing has gone wrong. This happens mostly for Assassins' creed: Black Flag. The "main crash" happens less often with Black Flag, yet has still happened, therefore possible, but a LOT less likely. I have to "ctrl, alt del" and open the task manager, otherwise the screen will remain frozen until I otherwise shut down the computer / force restart it. The properties of the "main crash" desktop occur if I opened the task manager after this point. 3. (very rare, mini crash) Happens rarely for Battlefield 4 and Black Flag, mostly after changing graphical settings within the game. I have yet to experience this with any other game, but the stereotypical "Battlefield 4 has stopped working" or "Ac: Black Flag has stopped working" as a mini box with a loading bar appears. After cancelling this box away, I am returned to a fully functional desktop, the computer continues as if it had just been turned on, without any apparent issue. I am able to start up a game again, but I will hardly last 5 minutes before a "Main crash" or "Critical freeze" occurs. 4. (critical freeze) Exactly the same as the "main crash" except there's no escaping the frozen snapshot of what you were looking at last, and the sound completely stops. Occasionally, Black Flag's sound continues. The only escape is a force restart of the computer. 5. (getdeviceremovedhung) BATTLEFIELD 4 ONLY: I have attached an image of the Battlefield 4 crash. It states there is something wrong with directx, and that the "device is hung" which suggests there's something wrong with the driver or "alternatively, the application." Battlefield 4 also crashes with the main crash, but not as often as "getdeviceremovedhung" I am unable to understand this error message at all other than thinking that the computer wants to get the "device" removed. Notice that the entrie screen is WHITE, this shares the exact same properties as the unresponsive black screen I described previously. Now all the crashes have been explained, I'll try to explain what I've experienced these passed years, some other important details and attempts to try and fix this issue. But no matter what happens, one thing is always certain, and that is, there will always be a crash sooner or later. I have used MSI Afterburner to lower both the Clock speed and the Memory clock to attempt to rule out the possibility of an unstable factory Overclock in the GPU. When playing a game after lowering the memory clock -140 / -260 and the Core clock -30, the game sometimes plays for longer. Last night I played Black Flag for 3 hours and 45 minutes without any issue. I ALSO noticed that I was able to turn up the graphics settings a lot more than usual, and performance was a lot better, I rarely dropped under 60 FPS. However, this morning, with the EXACT SAME SETTINGS, I was struggling to keep above 60 fps, as I noticed frame drops often, no matter how much I lowered the graphics settings. Eventually, I experienced a "Main crash" and my fears were confirmed. The behaviour of this card is unpredictable. I have also been able to play FOUR HOURS before even knowing about MSI afterburner. This also backs up the theory that Afterburner's influences do nothing for this issue. I have also tried "OC Guru" which is Gigabyte's version of afterburner, but the same results applied. Furthermore, I have also ventured into the "Nvidia control panel" and adjusted some global settings. I turned on most things, such as ambient occlusion and triple buffering. But even if I am to apply these settings, as soon as I close off the Nvidia control panel, all of the changes will reverse to default. I thought this had something to do with messing with the graphics card, but apparently it is staying the way it is. This apparently has influenced nothing. CONCLUSION: Evidently, I have come up against A LOT of different problems and experiences. I have given every amount of information I could possibly remember about this issue as I hope that my clarity will spark an answer to this atrocious mess that has haunted me for so long. I have added images of various unusual things I've noticed within MSI afterburner directly after a crash from Black Flag. The charts SEEM out of place, but I am unsure, they may be fine, but just in case, I'm putting them there. Pictures "1, 2 and 3 are of MSI afterburner's interface, indicating extreme fluctuations of the various different demands of the computer, such as the CPU and the clock speeds of the GPU. The "Battlefield 4 crash" is self explanatory. If you have made it this far, thank you. I hope you have a solution. Thank you for any helpful information / experiences you may be able to provide.
