I built my pc about 2 years ago and since the very beginning I've had symptoms that seem to be everywhere in these forums and others, but the symptoms, cause, or solution seems to be different in every forum I've looked. Problem: While playing only certain games, (listed below) one variation of the issue will occur, both monitors freeze and I can't hear any sound, both monitors freeze but I can hear sound, both monitors lose signal but I still hear sound, or my pc restarts itself. On all of these minus the last one I can't do anything, or at least I can't see anything happening, and the problem persists until I use the physical power button to hard reset my pc, I've waited for hours and recieved no change. With the monitors losing signal variations after restarting, only my main monitor will be on and I have to go into Device Manager and disable and re-enable the display adaptor to get the second monitor back. Games it's happened on: Red Dead Redemption 2 Online (have'nt played the story mode enough to know if it happens there too or not), Starcraft 2 Arcade, American Truck Simulator, and this morning for the first time in the whole 2 years this has happened, Subnautica caused an event despite my many hours in Subnautica in the past 2 years with no previous such event in the game. Troubleshooting I've done: I have tried several versions of graphics drivers, tried using AMD Adrenaline app, tried with windows default to update drivers without AMD Adrenaline, I've tried graphics card load tests, changing the graphics settings including dx11, and I've taken it to the Geek Squad in Best Buy to see if they could find anything, and despite them having my pc for a total of 6 days across 2 seperate visits they couldn't recreate the problem while playing said games for several hours which is usually more than enough for me to get a crash, they performed gpu stress tests for a total of 24 hours between the 2 visits, scanned for viruses, tried updates. I've replaced my main storage drive and as such wiped the pc to factory settings. Plus BIOS update. Also tried using only one monitor and it still happened with both monitors, tried a friends monitor and it still happened. New display port cable didn't help either. Hey guys so my pc windows 11 is getting frozen on the motherboard logo screen with the little dots in a circle when I try to boot it up, although this is a normal issue I have tried all of the normal solutions and not had anything work. I have not added any new hardware to my pc in the last year. the last thing I did was replace the motherboard December 2022 because one of my ram channels was bad but it has been working fine since. It does boot to the bios and I can do some things from there but I cannot get it to load an operating system. Hardware in my pc: MSI b550 mobo ryzen 7 5700g 16gb gskill ram 650w power supply 3070 500gb m.2 with windows 1tb hhd additional storage List of things I have tried: 1. turn it off and back on 2. check bios to make sure all hardware is reporting (it is) 3. restore factory defaults on bios 4.remove cmos battery 5. replace cmos battery 6. remove each stick of ram leaving only 1 8gb stick in the pc 7. removed gpu attempting to boot on integrated 8. created hirens recovery cd (usb) to try to boot from 9. removed each storage device attempting to boot from usb only 10. hold shift to try to force recovery mode every time its the same result. it just freezes even on the usb it still froze. I am loosing my mind here trying to figure out what is causing this. I feel like after all the tests I have done it has to be either the motherboard or cpu but it seems so strange that I can get in to the bios just fine. Any ideas would be awesome!

I have a V-Moda Boompro microphone, and for output, I use my headphones (Mobvoi HP ANC 0022) connected through Bluetooth. The issue is that while my mic is connected, it doesn't work, no sound is being picked up . I tried changing settings in Realtek audio, looked in the device manager, and made changes in the "More sound settings" tab, but to no avail. The PC I'm currently using was built a few days ago, and the motherboard that I'm using is Asrock B550M Pro4. I have downloaded the necessary drivers and software. I have Realtek (version 6.0.9468.1), Nahimic, and *Norton 360*. Previously, I had the same setup on a gaming laptop with no problems (it was easier, thanks to it having only one analog port for headphones and/or a mic).

I have been searching for a competitive gaming monitor for a while now, and during this time, I have narrowed down my choices to the Dell Alienware AW2523HF and the Asus ROG Strix XG259CM. Which one would be better in terms of motion clarity at 240hz? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated! (I mainly play FPS games) Note: I'm using an AMD GPU.

I feel as though these symptoms are either Software or a faulty GPU but I really have no clue? Symptoms: Java applications/games will exit due to a random JVM crash - mainly JVM container for OldSchool RuneScape. Once every month for a day, my PC will just freeze every few hours on that day, for 5 seconds. DWM.exe will stop working randomly while playing Overwatch randomly, both my monitors go black, I can hear people on Discord but can't respond or do anything about it. According to event viewer, DWM.exe tries to restart over and over but keeps failing, I've let it try up to 8 times. Rare, but sometimes I am getting minor visual artifacts, usually on the BIOS screen and then this goes away once I am in Windows. Strange monitor behaviours, plugged in a controller and my main display refused to work on 240Hz, only worked on 144Hz and below until I rebooted. What I have tried: Swapping the power connectors to my GPU. Reseating my GPU. Cleaned out PC. Doing a DDU with new drivers. Upgrading to Windows 11, then doing another DDU with new drivers. Memtest86, came back fine. Uninstalled any applications using NVENC/RTX cores in the background such as GeForce Experience and Broadcast. Changed my performance mode to max performance in NVIDIA settings. Updated BIOS version. Ran several virus scans and checked for demanding background processes. Stress tests such as FurMark running for 20mins have no issues, no crashes. I've been trying to get my computer to run at my ISP's advertised speeds of 500Mbps for about a week now, completely fruitless. Contacted ISP, nothing wrong with the hardware. Checked cables, network controllers, all good there. Got 2 cables and 2 NICs. Verified speeds are being provided with a laptop, got 500Mbps U/D on it. Checked drivers on both new and old NICs. Fiddled with network adapter properties in control panel / device manager. Still only getting <100Mbps down / ~160Mbps up. I'm about at my wit's end here.

The pc I just built turns on (lights and fans) when you press the power button, but there is absolutely no output even with the gpu fans spinning and lights on. The monitor doesn’t even recognize a signal. Another issue, I can use the power button to turn on the pc, but pressing it again or holding it never turns it off. This forces me to turn off the pc using the psu switch. The final issue is that the pc turns partially off about 5 seconds after it’s turned on (fans stop spinning and case fans blink red quickly about 2 or 3 times before going back to normal with no output after like 2 seconds. I have the hdmi cable to the gpu not the motherboard and I already reset the cmos. Is there anything else that I haven’t considered? Hey, all, I recently upgraded my Macbook Pro that I bought in 2019 to macos 12.0.1 "Monterey." Ever since upgrading, every time I power on my laptop, I get the error message "Your computer was shut down because of a problem" or something of the like (forgetting the exact phrasing). This has happened to my every time I've powered on my device, but at no point did my laptop actually shut down due to a noticeable problem. I shut the computer off regularly via the shutdown button in the toolbar. Has anyone else been having this issue? Anyone find a good fix? Here's more specific info about my Macbook: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) 2.9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Intel Iris Graphics 550 1536 MB Thanks!

Hi guys, I've tried quite a few things but I just can't figure this one out (it's been more then 6 months now): I've built a new PC last year (built with PCpartpicker to make sure the parts are compatible) and while it seems to work fine with lighter games (Valheim works fine), I'm experiencing random reboots when playing other games after some playtime. (ex: Warframe, Horizon Zero Dawn, Ghost Recon Wildlands/Breakpoint, etc). I've tried quite a few things already, to no avail: - Updated Windows and all drivers (multiple times) - Lowering my Ram's ghz (supposed to go up to 3600), even to 2666ghz. Added 2 more 8gb sticks too. - I tried changing the Power Outlet to which the PC was connected - Bought a UPS to try and maintain a constant power input (My old PC never had power issues but it was a 600W and now im using a 850W). As of now, only my PC and monitor are connected to it. - I tried most of the things in here (https://www.troubleshootingcentral.com/kernel-power-41-error-event-solved/), but it's still occurring and I am not getting an error screen, even though I turned off Disable Automatic Restart in Advanced System Settings. Anyone have any ideas? I tried changing the Motherboard, the Ram sticks and the Graphics card, to no avail. I've also been digging in the events log and the criticals I see are linked to the reboots and are Kernel-Power 41 errors but I lack the knowledge to find out what is causing it... Let me know if I can give more information! Here is a link to my The Sysnative BSOD Dump + System File Collection App and Perfmon reports:https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tuzhxj45tnhe6sh/AABB95KFO5IwnBcalewjo2cfa?dl=0 I also added a report of GPU-Z right before it crashed and the results of an AIDA stability test (which didn't crash the computer). My specs are: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit ROG Strix B550-F Gaming motherboard (latest) (Also tested MSI B550m Mortal wifi) AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (Default speed) 4x8GB Crucial Ballistix 3600 GHZ DDR4 RAM (Also tested G.Skill Ripjaws 4) AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (stock) (also tested GeForce GTX 960) WD blue SSD (500GB) boot drive Not sure 2TB storage drive Not sure 8TB storage drive Corsair RM850 Gold Fully Modular ATX PSU (Tested 2 units of same model)

( https://twitter.com/Jalmaan/status/1473041545725157379 ) Everytime when I download something I completely lag out. I have no clue what is causing this but this makes it impossible to use my computer while I am updating or downloading. It's getting so bad to the point I can not watch Twitch anymore, nor videos on steam, nor other major mediaplayers beside YouTube, without having to restart every once in a while (it's livable, but certainly frustrating). Is there some driver I have missed to update? Or will I have to reinstall windows entirely? Or is there another fix for this? I have the issue both cabled, aswell as on WiFi. Any kind of downloading my computer just doesn't appreciate. I have test my drives aswell whom all say they are healthy.

Hi all, hope someone can help. any advice at all! Sorry it's a little long. This is only happening under load / when gaming, I had it happen ONCE when I was running a full stress test of discs, memory, gpu and cpu using AIDA 64, after moving a window from 1 monitor to the other, it didnt happen at all when running cinebench and furmark at the same time for over 10+ minutes Sometimes its really random, I can play a game for 5-6 hours fine one day, then another day the pc crashes after an hour. I have noticed I have high memory usage (RAM) with it showing 40%+ even when not gaming but pretty sure this is not new, I ran a MEMTest and there were no errors About 2.5 months ago I bought a new 2 tb NVME and installed it into my Z270I motherboard. I repasted my CPU at the same time, as I have to remove my entire motherboard in order to install m.2 SSD in my Case (Fractal Define Nano S) during this, I was not able to plug in both POWER LED nodes, as both of mine have the same symbol (both are + or -, not 1 of each) But I don't see how the power LED could be the issue. Since then, whenever Im gaming, I've had my PC randomly power off entirely - I'm immediately able to press power button to turn it back on if needed. All I have in event viewer is "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." with Event ID 41, and Task 63. and one when I power on saying "The previous system shutdown at xx:xx on x/xx/xxxx was unexpected." PC Specs GPU - Nvidia GTX 1080TI FE RAM - 16gb(2x8) 3200mhz hyperx PSU - Silverstone platinum 1000w Mobo - MSI z270I gaming pro carbon CPU - i7-7700k HDD - 3TB seagate (this does show some health issues in crystaldisk, but only caution) SSD 1 - Samsung evo 850 250gb (Windows boot drive) SSD 2 - NVME Kingston 2TB OS : Windows 10 build 18363 Bios version : 1.C0 Below is the list of what I have done 1. Changing power cable to PSU 2. Changing plugin location from powerboard to wall socket 3. Changing wall socket plugin location 4. Checking cables to make sure all are firmly plugged in 5. Lowering GPU power limit to 90% 6. DDU Driver uninstall of GPU and reinstall clean of older driver I used up until maybe 3 weeks or so ago. 7. Updated BIOS 8. Updated new NVME firmware 9. checked power cable connections in pc 10. limited GPU power down 10% 11. checked power draw (under full stress test for 1minute reached 450 watt of a 750 watt PSU, checked with a wall plug wattage reader) 13. Installed new PSU (1000 watt, so its not power) 14. Disabled C states and restore on AC / power loss (power on) in bios. 15. Swapped the wall socket to a different fuse in my house (in case the wall socket was having stability issues)

Hi there! Maybe someone here can help me, I am looking for a capable Thunderbolt Adapter/Dock/anything that has two HDMI Outputs for use on my M1 Pro 14“. I was looking for adapters but the standards are really confusing. It should be able to handle WQHD at at least 120Hz on both screens and preferably have at least one USB 3.0 Type A Port on it as well. Has anyone here maybe solved this for themselves already? I want to be able to connect two monitors to my MacBook (via the left side, so that I don’t have cables hanging from my Laptop from both sides) and just couldn’t find anything except crappy dongles that only support screen duplication and 500€ Thunderbolt Docks. I‘d appreciate any input! cheers!

Hello, My PGP key for one of my accounts stopped working while I was trying to draft a message. At first, the message said that my PGP key couldn't be located and thus my draft could not be saved (I believe I have all my drafts mandated to save as encrypted). I decided to delete the key from Thunderbird and try re-importing it. At first, it said the key had been imported successfully. However, when trying to select the key from my account page, nothing comes up. It's just blank. I quit Thunderbird several times and re-opened, only to get the same result. Now, after my most recent app restart, Thunderbird simply won't import my PGP key at all. Other accounts still have their PGP keys active, but not this one. I'm at a loss. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is this a new bug? I'm running the latest version of Thunderbird (91.8.1 (64-bit)) on macOS. I've attached images. Please help! Thanks!!

For around 1 week now, my 3900X (with a MSI X570 Gaming Edge WiFi motherboard) has always been on 100% usage on task manager ever since I ran cinebench for the first time on my new PC. However, according to the MSI Centre application, the CPU usage is nowhere near 100%. Consequently, task manager is also causing the CPU to use the turbo boost, likely causing higher temps + louder CPU cooler. i have searched the internet for solutions yet I can only find people with the same issue who use the same CPU and motherboard that I am using. I do not believe this is a virus related issue mainly due to me not visiting anything suspicious in anyway, but also, I have done many virus scans on my PC, yet I find nothing. I hope someone out there can help me out.

I got msi 3080 x trio and for the last few months I had to keep underclocking it more and more so I can play games and now it reached the point where I no longer can play demanding games anymore. I tried a lot of fixes for this nothing really worked although I’m sure it’s the GPU sense I tried mounting another one on my PC and it worked just fine. I’m already losing hope but if someone got an idea of what I’m dealing with here please share.

Ok, so yesterday I was doing sh*t on my laptop, you know, watching YouTube, playing Doom mods, stuff like that. Today, I woke up, booted up my laptop, and, for whatever reason, it just keeps freezing ever second and a half or so for two to three seconds. I tried updating my drivers, restarting, checking my BIOS, nothing has helped. So, can anyone here help me? It’s an HP Pavilion n028us, with 6 gigs of RAM, with around 5 and a half gigs unused, running on Windows 10.

So I made a post a few days ago about not being able to get a video signal, but we got that fixed by getting a new motherboard. Now I got another problem. The computer wont finish booting into windows. About a second after the circle of dots appear the thing restarts. I've tried everything I can think to do. Unplug and plug just about everything. Different slots for ram. A fresh install of windows. A working boot drive from another computer. From Jayztwocents video, increase the voltage of the cpu. Clear cmos. This is my brother's birthday pc, and I'm really want to get this darn thing to work for him. I am at a loss. Dear people :D, the history of the problems leads back into the distant past. Just kidding, but apart from an 8 month usage break, I have had problems with my computer for about 2 years. The most common problem is actually that Windows itself keeps getting stuck. At first the PC does not react to clicks on e.g. the pause button (both Spotify and WMP). But the sound continues to run until the sound stops while the music continues to play in the player. I can still switch between windows, but sometimes the mouse stops for a short time, sometimes it happens that the power supply of the mouse was not active after repluggingthe mouse and , but after a restart everything ran again). After a short moment or even half a minute everything works again as if nothing had happened. All this only if at most browser and player (and steam are open in the background) but never in games. 2. problem are bluescreens with changing error detection, the only bluescreen I could read with BluescreenView has the error code (0x00000139), but is also attached as a screenshot. Furthermore I had also BS with the error message IRQL not less or equal and also some without any code. 3. problem are crashes (always in online games, but now only when I play with friends) but they don't come with a bluescreen. Here the picture stops and the sound remains in some way difficult to describe (very unpleasant sound). And the PC would get stuck in this state (I waited a minute to see if something else happened and only came out with a restart). This error also occurs repetitively (i.e. logged back into the game after a crash and after a few minutes the same problem. All described problems (I'm not sure about the error codes of the bluescreens) took place on Win7 (I rebuilt Windows with a new SSD at the beginning of April because I had boot problems before) and upgraded directly to Win10. Setup of my PC: Win10 FX 8350 ASRock 970 Pro 3 16GB G.Skill Ares DDR3-1600 DIMM CL9 Dual Kit R9 380 1Tb Western Digital Blue 256Gb Samsung SSD Evo Enermax MaxPro 600 Watt (All parts, except the Samsung Evo, were bought in April 2016 and the PC was assembled by myself and my brother (but in the beginning everything ran smoothly). As I said, Windows has already been reinstalled and all test results (see below) look so far so good, so I have no idea what exactly the problem is. I will run Memtest 86 again overnight at times, just so that I can run the 4 test cycles the program intended to run completely. If you want more readout data, let me know. Its not my first language so excuse my written english ^^.

I brought this cx550 psu on 25/12/2017 and received on 26/12/2017 The packaging was just plastic film and delivery label attached on the box without any protection on Sunday (21/07/2019) the system rebooted while putting the pc on sleep it stay on windows loading screen and reboot until automatic repair starts and try to use system restore it fail and next power up the windows reach on desktop and short while the computer rebooted and same thing happen on tuesday the pc started successfully On BIOS the voltage reading was 11.880 voltage (12V rail) On windows 10 (Hwinfo 64) reported at 11.880 voltage (12V rail) so i did stability stress test (AIDA64) on this pc at cpu and gpu being tested the mouse pointer got lagging the voltage on 12V rail drop to 11.550 voltage on but on aida64 it is 12.12 to 12.4 volt the 3.3 volt rail is on 3.2 volts the 5 volt rail drops to 4 to 5 volt the cpu does not reach or touch the 95 TDP watts while putting load on the cpu gpu might have not reach peak power also there was Kernal Power or Event ID 41 might have related to the psu and there was the problem of DCOM issue Any help would be thankful

I used to use a computer (got a new one) that was actually pretty good with games and video editing, even though i used integrated graphics. But, ever since a couple years ago, when I would restart, it would (the majority of the time) send no signal to a monitor. Every monitor I tried would do the same thing. I tried a graphics card and it did it almost every time. But, if i turn it off and wait like 15 minutes or so, it would be fine. I don't know if it's an easy fix, or if it's a huge problem. Any help would be good. SPECS: Foxconn 2AB1 Motherboard AMD Phenom II X4 960T 2 8GB DDR3 Ram sticks running in Dual Channel Windows XP SP2 x64 (happened on other OSs)

I've been doing my best to figure out what or why this is happening but can't find the problem (which I will get to shortly) So here's the backstory of this laptop. It's a Dell Inspiron 17r 5721, it was originally my Grandfather's but he passed away and I started to find all the laptops he had. So I used a um.. 'password reset key' (from Lovell Tec) to first look at the hard drive and it's contents to see if there was anything important or any information left on it that I should try to recover. I found nothing, and couldn't reset the password because it was a windows account, protected by the account password itself. I proceeded to do a fresh install of windows 10 (it was running windows 8/8.1 originally). After doing the install, and entering the windows insider/preview program, the computer was working fine. I downloaded some games and such, doing the normal setup stuff you do for a new device, and ended up getting a secondary drive, replacing the optical drive in the laptop with a SATA drive and adapter for it. Now at this point the computer was working just fine for about a month and a half, during which time I was using it regularly. After I tried making a boot drive for another computer, and not using the laptop for about a week after that, the laptop stopped booting up on the first try. It doesn't turn on properly after about 15 minutes or more of being powered off. This is what happens when the laptop is turned on from being 'cold': I click the button and one of the four lights on the front turns on (the light that indicates that it's powered on), as the light is turning on I can hear the fan ramp up for a minute and the hard drive starting up (no weird or excess noises). Then, after a few seconds, during the time where you would expect to see the computer doing something (like the DELL logo coming onto the screen) nothing happens other than you suddenly hear a shrill beep then two weaker beeps following it (all equally spaced apart but the first is much louder). The laptop continues to beep until you press the power button again and turn it off, at which point if you press the power button again to try to turn it on a second time, it fully boots up and you see the DELL logo, and you get fully into Windows. I've tried pulling one stick of memory, then the other (and replacing the first), I've tried booting it plugged in, unplugged, plugged in with the battery out, I've tried it with removing the second drive, tried putting the optical drive back in, I've tried doing the troubleshooter that is in the bios. TLDR; got a laptop from my grandfather passing away, installed Windows 10 (with insider program) and worked fine. After 15-ish minutes of being off, laptop doesn't boot up on the first try and just beeps at you loudly in sets of 3. Turn it off and on again and it works I know it sounds like it isn't too bad, but when you're trying to turn on your laptop and you have to wait an extra minute to get into it, it's very inconvenient. Thank you in.. is it really in advance at this point? But thank you anyone who tries to help. Attached is a video of what happens when I try to do a "cold" boot. (apologies for the bad video quality) WIN_20200718_15_15_56_Pro.mp4

I'm on a budget, I need to get a GPU for a custom built PC (The current parts). With the GPU I wanna try and get lower than $1,000, however depending on what it scores in a benchmark, I will go over $1,000. I really hope you could help me out because I'm still kind of a newbie. D:
