Hi everyone, I bought my component a bit more than a year ago and it's been quite a while since i have an issue. As mentioned in the tittle, I get random BSOD on windows with error code HYPERVISOR_ERROR. It happens randomly sometimes on idle, sometimes when watching videos or playing games. I have tried many things in an attempts to fix it, from Microsoft support, to reinstalling Windows, to driver update tools but nothing yet … I cannot figure out the reason for this issue and it is becoming extremely annoying. I have Hyper-V enabled because I use WSL as a dev platform and need to keep it that way. I'll join to this post a copy of my system info. You can find the last DUMPFILE here : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Hc1XX4lWGVYBb-H8XJ2kuuPhpmOKrJiC?usp=sharing I hope someone can help ! I assume this is graphics related because of the age of the card. but essentially, randomly my pc will just close games and apps, sometimes I can go hours without issues, other times YouTube will crash up to 10x an hour, and games will crash after about 5-30 minutes... I upgraded to windows 11 and it was a clean install. Things were fine for about 2 weeks then the issues came back randomly after a restart. i have updated windows, drivers and games. I found that the pixel turn on/off response time is reduced when you under power the screen of the iPhone included with increased ghosting affects, I’m pretty sure it is with iPhones with oled panels(I’ve got a iPhone XS Max), so basically you go into settings/accessibility/display and text size and turn on reduce white point and turn the value up to 100%[MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS IN A DARK ROOM], or you won’t be able to see the screen, then make sure the iPhone screen brightness is turned down to 0, then you should be set, to show the affect of the reduced brightness, go back to the settings and stay in the “display and text size” section and just scroll up and down, the writing should turn black while you scroll but when you stop you can see the writing again, another example is by going to the Home Screen and swiping from left to right you can see a black trail from dark apps with turned off pixels, you can also see ghosting from other apps(Spotify is a good example of leaving a black trail).

Recently found a new process running in task manager. I can't find any solid information on it online, save for a few lesser known webpage mentions. It has elements that seem legit but I did just have issues with a trojan detection and fix issue. I've since done a fresh install of windows so it should have resolved but now I found this new process that seems like its trying too hard to look like a legitimate Windows process, while signed supposedly by MS I can't find much about it and I've never seen it before on any of my other pcs. Now the system is up to date and I've done full & offline windows defender scans, no alert or issues but if defender is compromised then that means little. Other details about this process I see on my pc: low resource usage at least while I'm using the pc. location: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Platform\4.18.2205.7-0 size: 166 KB (170,744 bytes) Microsoft Windows Publisher sha256 June 20, 2022 12:02:17 AM Any information or usable advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

First of all, let me clear a few things. I never sign in to Gmail yet alone my google account to any other device expect my one, which is not publicly accessible meaning people are unable to use my computer without me knowing. When I go to security sessions on google there are no recent signs ins, the only thing in that section is the 2 factor authentication i put on my account a few days ago. As for the current session section the only device there is mine and it says I'm logged in with 1 session running presumably mine i guess. It also says I use no other sites or apps that i use google to log in with and also no linked accounts associated with my google as well. In the screenshot provided shows the concurrent session which is referring to the other device, you can see it comes from an unknown access type but has the same IP and location as me. I want to reiterate I only use this device to sign into my google account and gmail, this is further proven by the fact that google says I only have one session open on this device in google security settings. Also we can see all the logins from me and the unknown acesss share the same IP and location. Sometimes the unknown logs into the gmail in the exact same time I do indicated by the date and time section. Help me figure this out please. Thank you kindly. Hey there guys, need assistance trying to figure out this issue I'm having with my network. Lately anti virus has popped up with alerts of malicious network activity that it had been blocking, when i logged into my router i noticed 20+ unknown network devices attached to my network via ethernet, i restarted my router, turned on my mac filter, and only had my PC, NAS and phone mac on the filter, blocking everything else and waited to see if any other activity continued, i woke up this morning, and noticed these unknown network devices connected again, detected by my antivirus and somehow bypassed the mac filter. I'd like to consider myself pretty experienced with PC's, but this isn't an issue I've had before. using a Linksys EA6500 with a 2TB Segate Central 2TB NAS with genuine windows 10 with the latest version ESET Smart Security. Ran scans of both the PC and network, and i cannot find any sort of malware, and i haven't downloaded anything malicious, I'm very confused.

Hey everyone, as the title suggests, Silicon Lottery Percentages. I know what the silicon lottery is and how it works, but one thing I'm unsure of is the percentages - as in, how bloody lucky you are if your overclock is x% over the default clocks. So I was wondering if anyone here could shed some information on this. What percentage boundaries would be considered good, better, best, or Holy S**t? Specifically as to why I want to know. I've had my i5 for around 23 months now and am looking to upgrade. Since it can overclock, I've had it overclocked since I've had it. Up until now, its been at around 4.5GHz. Only recently, I've decided to push it to what I find is its max on AIR. My CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K Cooling solution: Phanteks PH-TC14-PE (Push/Pull) Stock Speeds - 3500mhz (3.5GHz) My overclock - 4898mhz (give it a little rounding, 4.9GHz) Equating to a 40% overclock (I think) - rock solid stable (Well, I've experienced no crashes and I've been at this speed for about a week now), at 1.31v (I know CPUz is saying 0.952v, but I've probably left SpeedStep on ) Is this a good overclock for the voltage and for what the chip is? Please let me know Thanks.

unknown Best way to send/receive data/commands to local computers?
Noobular posted a topic in Programming
I'm not really sure what language or where to start.. but i'd like to create essentially a control panel system (website, I can do this part) that will control other computers on the network, eg start/stop/open applications/hardware monitoring but i have no idea what gives the ability to do this, language wise... any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. - What would give me the ability to send / receive data from other machines on my network? -
Hey tech people! So for the past 7 months i've had a pc that shuts down randomly when i'm playing any harder to run games (Ark survival evolved, PUBG). Its a complete shutdown, no restart. As if i flip the switch. The issues started back in december when i switched my Motherboard/MEM/CPU. During a attempt to try and fix this with people on this forum back then we "found" the issue to be the PSU, which i replaced and upgraded. Unfortunately this didnt fix the issue, the pc is still crashing. I have updated all drivers and the bios. The replaced parts are sent back to the seller to test for any issues, but none were found. These were the Motherboard/mem/cpu. The current psu is 850w Gold so shouldnt have any issues suplying enough power. If you need anything more to help out, let me know! at this point i really don't know what to do anymore.. My specs are : Motherboard: Asus viii ranger Memory: Corsair vengeance 3200 2x 8gb CPU: Intel i7 6700k GPU: Evga gtx 970 PSU:corsair Rm850x HDD: 2x Samsung hd204ui SSD: 1x Crucial Bx200 480gb (current start up disk) Case: NZXT noctis 450

PC boots when PSU switch flipped and turns off after 5sec
Marshy88 posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello. I went to turn on my PC today and started by turning on my PSU switch (I turn it off because of ambient system light). However, today, the PC booted right after doing that. And after 5 seconds it turns off. During this time it displays a yellow/orange light then a red one. (Manual is useless, just says ram issue). I've removed my ram, no fix. (In correct slots, too). I unplugged the power button cable which caused it to not boot. GPU is not issue; I removed it and issue persists. I unplugged the CPU power and the PC boots and is stable, but obviously this doesn't work. System: Asus ROG Gtx 1070ti Asus B350F board Ryzen 1600 16gb Corsair @ 3000mhz Corsair CX600 PSU Please, any help is appreciated, I need to fix this asap for school work. -

Hey everyone, Whenever my PC goes to sleep or hibernates (I have tried both) it will restart upon waking it (it doesn't restart immediately but after 30-60 seconds). Any ideas for how to fix this? TIA
-
Hey... So I could use a lil help over here. Last night I left my PC to export a video for 20 mins as I usually do. When I went back to check on it the monitors wouldn't wake up and just said 'No Source' - weird! So I waited a bit and then just decided it's 3am I want to sleep and just shut down my pc with the power button. I just thought it was having a funny 5 minutes. But no... I turned it on again today and after about 3 minutes of being on it just shut itself down and restarted. Again - really weird. I played some Apex and no problems. Then I went to export another video and the same thing happened again! I left, came back and the monitors were sleeping and wouldn't turn on. I also noticed that my keyboard was lit uo but pressing the caps lock, num lock and scroll lock keys did not make their respective lights turn on... What the hell is going on?? I thought maybe it was overheating but my motherboard and GPU seemed to be fine on temps. Is this a CPU problem? My specs are: I5 6600k Radeon Rx480 1x8gb LPX Vengeance 1TB SSD 1TB HDD 256GB SSD I have no idea what is going on so any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated! Thanks friends! Edit: If I turn off one of the monitors (dual monitor set up) and then turn it back on. The other monitor flickers a little bit as the other one turns on...

9.9I found an old DVD player in my parents house and was going to try to use it when I realized it didn't end in a normal USB cable. It looks almost like 2 USB ports connected but it might not be related. Does anyone know what the heck this is?
