I updated from a 1660 super to a 3060 ti and I don't notice much of a difference in terms of fps gain. In certain games, such as Warzone 2.0, I get around 70 frames per second, which feels choppy and unsmooth. My frame rate in Tarkov is the same as it is in Warzone. In valorant, I witness people getting 300-500 fps, but I only get 150-250, which decreases to 100 when stuff happens. GTA 5 is also sluggish, with frame rates ranging between 60 and 80 frames per second. I used to get 120 in League of Legends with my old GPU, and I now get around 130 with the 3060ti. My computer seems to be underperforming, and I'm not sure how to improve it. My current system specs: CPU : RYZEN 3 3100 GPU : RX 570 4gb (PowerColor) Ram : 16 gb (8x2) My main problem is when im playing battle royale game like Apex Legends and COD:WARZONE. When i'm on the plane I only get about 30 - 35 fps and when I land on the map, it run at 50 - 70 fps with a lot of stuttering and my average fps is about 56 - 65. COD:Warzone is worse, I try to play on the lowest setting @ 720 and I can only achieve fps with an average of 40 - 47 fps. But this problem doesn't occur in a other battle royale game like pubg, it runs very smooth about 80 - 90 fps on highest settings. I also monitor the system while in-game using MSI afterburner and rivatuner statistic server and i can't seem to find anything unusual or maybe I just don't know if something is wrong. My gpu is running like it supposed to be about 98% - 100% while my cpu never touch 100%. Sorry for my bad english, I tried to explain it as simple as possbile and thank you so much. My Specs are as follows. RTX 2080TI (No overclock - Have tried and doesnt do anything) Ryzen 2700x (no overclock - Have tried and doesnt do anything) 16GB DDR4 @ 3200mhz Games installed on a NVME SSD Playing in 1080p @ 144hz So, I always have FPS issues with literally every game I play. Ive had this PC for about a year and NEVER found the cause, nor do I know what else to do as ive done seemingly everything. Below are a list of games and their average FPS. Biggest example: - I have been playing Days Gone, with my spec people have been getting frames with an average of 140fps, @ 1080p max settings. With Dips to no less than 100. Im getting an average of 70fps with dips into the low 50's all the time, lowest ive seen is 49fps thus far. Its not like its a stutter to that frame, its @ 49fps until I move away from that area, then when I come back the frames tank again, even then, the highest ive ever seen it go it 90, and thats in the middle of nowhere with nothing on screen. Even with everything happening benchmarks show specs like mine never dropping to 49, hell not even dropping below 100. This should NOT be happening with a PC like this, below are more examples. Ive done everything I can, please help. Below are more examples of my terrible frames. Its been this way for the 2 years ive had it and NEVER been able to fix it; Call of Duty: Warzone - Average of 60fps with frequent dips to 52 fps @ 1080p (changing settings from highest to lowest settings does literally nothing). Call of Duty: Black Ops, Cold War - Average of 60fps with frequent dips to 55 fps @ 1080p (changing settings from highest to lowest settings does very little) Cyberpunk 2077 - Average of 40fps without raytracing, average of 30 with raytracing @ 1080p (Changing from highest to lowest settings only gives me about 10 more fps). Horizon: Zero Dawn - Average of 55fps @ 1080p, changing from highest to lowest settings nets me about 20fps giving me an average of 75fps but still dips below 60 in some areas). DayZ: Standalone - Average of 50fps @ 1080p, changing settings doesnt do anything. World of Warcraft - Average of 52fps @ 1080p (Changing from highest settings to the lowest settigns nets a huge performance gain, this is the only game that has this effect. Ill sit at about 100fps with everything as low as it can go) Valorant - Average of 120fps @ 1080p (Changing from highest to lowest settings changed the average to about 140fps, also @ 1080p) Escape from Tarkov - Average of 50fps @ 1080p with drops to 45fps fairly often (Changing settings does practically nothing) These are just a FEW examples, this is a trend with literally every single game I play , Performance is abhorrent, with a PC like this I should easily pass the 60fps mark and given what ive seen on Youtube with the same build, should easily pass 100fps in most games even at their highest settings. Ive reinstalled windows a slough of times over the past year, run plenty of benchmarks that all came back perfectly fine, done plenty of clean driver installs using DDU, used old drivers new ones etc. Ive installed new and old chipset drivers for my motherboard and CPU, tried to overclock, underclock I have tried literally everything. Temps come back perfectly fine in every test and even while playing. All of the above done in an effort to fix the performance, also, I have switched the Ram and GPU with replacements to see if it fixes it and no, it doesnt. For those who are going to tell me that I need to play @ 1440p - I understand but dont. Various Youtube benchmarks, Youtubers with similar builds or even ones that are worse etc all play at 1080p and get much better frames than I do. Not only that but I should still easily be passing 60fps on mostly every game that I play, regardless of me being on 1080p or not. If anyone has ANY clue on what to do, please let me know I am desperate to get this shit fixed.

But I have been playing with it, and I'm not very satisficed. I believe my 2080 is underperforming, but i dont wanna spend $20 on 3Dmark. My Cpu and Gpu usage is around 40-50% both on games. I average on high, 1440p. 60fps on fortnite. Is that normal? I really dont think it is. (I am running at 3.7GHZ.

Hello, I recently got a chance to try a 3060 ti and decided I wanted a little more power. I purchased a GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 3070 Eagle OC 8G. After installing the 3070 I noticed no increase in frames over the 3060 ti. I know the difference between the two isn't large but it I was getting the exact same numbers and even less on some games. I connected it using the two stock corsair PCIE to duel 6+2 cables that came with the PSU (RM650x). For example, I looked on YouTube and most people were running Cyberpunk on high (no raytracing, no upscaling) at around 70 fps. I'm consistently getting around 55 -56 in benchmarks and gameplay. I believe the cables may be the issue but I'm not sure. After plugging in the GPU using different ends of the duel 6 + 2 pin PCIE cables the results I got on the benchmarks consistently changed. I've ordered two Corsair 8 pin to single 6 + 2 connecters but do not know if that will fix anything. I'm not the most tech savvy person so I have a few questions. Does that even make sense that PCIE cables would affect performance? Would corsair put underwhelming cables in the PSU pack? Could this just be a bad 3070? Are my expectations simply to high lol? Any advice is appreciated and thank you. Hello. So i bought new GPU. RX 5700. Upgraded from GTX 970. But i feel like its heavily underperforming. When i saw other benchmarks they easily ran most games at 75+ fps. Meanwhile i cant run Far Cry 5 properly on high on 60. I think my PSU could be the issue. But can there be something else going on? My PSU is: Thermaltake 500W Smart RGB 80+ CPU: Ryzen 1600x Ram: GoodRam 2400mhz. I hope i can solve this fast because i barely see any diffrence in fps since this upgrade. Edit: 2x8 ram.

I looked online, and saw fps abvrages were 72 fps(1070 bench). i can assume dx12 is to blame for in heaven benchmark the score goes up 500 points or 700 vs opengl. as i saw on linuxbenchmark thread here. getting a 2000 in heaven opengl 1080p ultra and this on shadow of the tombraider highest preset + smaat2x anti aliasing. good bench or is my gpu under proforming? 1080p resolution, imige settings set to high quiality in nvidia driver, and gpu clock of 1887mhz

I have a GTX 1070 paired with a Ryzen 5 1600 and dual stick 16gb Corsair vengeance LPX DDR4 ram and an Asrock b450 Steel legend motherboard. My frame rate in gpu heavy games like Rainbow Six Siege only get around 190fps max depending on the map. Most of the time it just jumps around from 150 to 115fps all the way down to possibly 90fps. I don’t believe this is normal. I have a Zotac 1070 which I believe come overclocked.

So I recently zapped my motherboard while installing an rgb strip while the pc was on (biggest rookie mistake ever I know) and then my pc inmeadiatlity turned off. After I booted it again everything seems to work just fine. Except that my pc heavily underperforms while gaming. I did some benchmarks and my cpu is fine and the gpu seems to be fine too. But benchmarks scores for my gpu are lower than before the zap (before 91fps, after 76fps) and every gpu powered application gets lag spikes (even while benchmarking but the scores are still reasonably good). I decided to RMA the component that causes this underperformance but my question here is: what component, the motherboard or gpu, causes this underperformance? Hi, about a month ago I build a gaming pc but now it's heavily underperforming. In csgo my framerate is only 45fps when normally it plays on 200-400fps. I benchmarked my pc after that and my cpu and gpu both work fine.Temperature also isn't a problem because, both my gpu and cpu reach a max temp of only 60 degrees celcius. This al happened after I recently was installing a rgb led strip while the pc was on (I later regretted that decision) and the rgb extender cable, while plugged in the mobo, touched my mobo and my pc instantly turned off. After that the pc boots normally and everything works fine but it just underperforms in games.
