Hey guys, I've seen that Dell released it's new Ultrasharp monitor called u2518d. The specs seem to be pretty good imo. 25" 2560x1440 Resolutiion on 60 Hz 8ms (5ms) IPS Panel 350 cd/m² And even HDR?! Here are all specs Price 360 Euro So my question is, can this monitor be any good for casual gaming, for Battlefield 1 and photo editing with it's built in HDR? Is my rig even good enough? My graphics card is GTX 1060 Would you maybe even advice me to buy some different model for that money? Thank you in advance!

tomorrow i will buy new monitor, im searching for dell monitor so which one have a great colour for editing,watching movies,and casual gaming? 1.dell u2417h 2.s2419h does ultra sharp have a better colour accuracy more than dell S series? even the S series come on this year?? thanks for your help

I have a DELL U2713HM that is out of warranty. It is showing a yellow vertical line on the display. This problem started 9 months ago and at first I was moving the monitor a bit and the problem was disappearing. But then I got tired of it, disassembled the monitor, and pushed the cables that are under the upper aluminium tape in. This fixed the problem for 8 months. But then the problem re-occurred. I did the same, pushed them in but nothing happened. Then, I removed the tape and unplugged the cable and plugged them back in, nothing happened. There are two cables under the tape, they look like ribbon cables to me, but I'm not sure. I was able to remove and plug back one of them, I'm not sure if the other one is stuck or not removable too easily but I could not remove it. They are socketed cables, in fact there are many tiny cables going into the socket, colourful cables. I don't know, but I assume they are ribbon cables. I am not sure how to repair this. Should I try to unplug and plug them again, and also try to unplug the second cable as well? Or do you think the cables are damaged? Or do you think the cables are not well plugged on the other side, aka. under that metal thing where the motherboard is? If I am to replace the cables, where can I find them and how can I replace them? A new monitor is like 700 CAD, and this 1440P IPS monitor is still good. It is still working but that yellow vertical line is annoying me. Any help?

I am planning on buying a new monitor, and I would like one of those two. The thing is that I don't know which one to choose. I want the one that has the best image quality as I plan on watching movies, anime and play games on it. I know that the u2417h is a bit pricier and is from dell's best branch of monitors, being a UltraSharp, but the s2418h has some kind of hdr mode (i know it's not true hdr). And so I want to know if the hdr mode makes a difference or if the u2417h is better.

TFT Central reported, several model numbers of unannounced Dell monitors were found in a certification website, and according to the model numbers, they should be announced later this year, or next yr. Firstly, three new models of the UP series were found.They are: -UP3216Q, which TFT Central predicted this could be the successor of the UP3214Q; -UP2716D, which TFT Central predicted this could be the replacement of the UP2715H. This could be a 4K monitor, as currently all the monitors in the UP series are 4K or up, or still a WQHD (2560x1440) monitor, as the word "Q" was absented in the model name, and all 4K monitors in the UP series has "Q" in their model name; -UP2516D, which TFT Central predicted this could be the replacement of the existing U2413. Same as the UP2716D, this could be a 4K monitor, or a WQHD monitor, but it can't be determined at this moment solely depends on the model name. TFT Central believed these UP series monitors represented the UltraSharp Premium range, and they expected these monitors to feature hardware calibration support and wide gamut backlighting (although this isn't 100% confirmed). They also believes these monitors would be available in late October this year. Other than the UP series models, several unannnounced model names from the UltraSharp series were also found, and they are expected to be released in 2016. They are: -U2417H/U2417HA, which TFT Central believed this could be the successorto the 24" U2414H model. This monitor probably still features a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It is still unknown what the word "A" represents here, as there is no Dell monitors with "A" in their model names. The U2417H is expected to be available early Feb, with the HA model coming end of Feb 2016. -U2417HWi, which TFT Central believed it could be another version of the U2417H, but similar to the word "A" it is still unknown what the word "Wi" represent here. This model is expected mid April 2016. (I guess "Wi" may stand for "Wireless input" or sth similar?) -U2717D/U2717DA, which similar to the U2417H and U2417HA, TFT Central believed this could be the successor to the current U2715H model, thus it probably features a resolution of 2560 x 1440. I'm looking for a replacement for my U2410 and I wanted something that can play video games and movies well with good colors. I work as a photographer on the side and I need a good degree of color accuracy in my workflow. However, majority the viewers of my work don't use wide-gamut displays and that prompts me to go with the S2715H model. I don't see much of a point to invest in a wide-gamut (AdobeRGB) workflow if my work doesn't get presented in its proper form Reportedly, the U2713H is great for color accuracy on still images but horrible for gaming and movies. Colors go out of control and become saturated. Both monitors are approximately $210 in my country and this point does not make my decision any easier. Anyone here who can sway me to the right path? ps I am jumping from 1080p to 1440p. My U2410 also has an undesirable coating that makes everything a tad bit grainy.

Hello, I'm on the brink of a screen upgrade but have some doubt about connections several monitors. So the monitor I'm planning to buy is the Dell Ultrasharp U2515H which has one DP-port for signal in and one for signal out - in other words - daisy-chaining displays. I have a secondary monitor that uses a DVI to Displayport cable and I want to know, if this monitor if hooked to the new Dell monitor will the daisy-chaining work? My concerns are about compatibility with the daisy-chain technology and the DVI to DP cable. Thanks in advance :-) DemcoX99X

Hi, I am looking to get a new monitor. I have basically got it down to either the U2415 or the U2515H, as I have heard nothing but good things about Ultrasharps, unless someone has a better monitor they can recommend The U2415 is a 24 inch 1200p monitor, which is 16:10. Specs here. The U2515H is a 25 inch 1440p monitor, which is 16:9. Specs here Which monitor is better? I am eying up one of the new Macbooks to use this with, but I plan to get my own desktop rig later on. I am not sure if the 1440p upgrade is worth the extra half again of the cost of the U2415 ($400 vs $600). Also, how much difference is there between the aspect ratios, in terms of everyday use? Dell has just announced the immediate availability of two new monitors. Both of which support a display resolution of 3840x2160, both sport IPS panels, 10-bit per channel color and a 60Hz refresh rate. The P2415Q and P2715Q. The 24" model carries an MSRP of $599 while the 27" model carries an MSRP of $699. I truly wish to see Dell release more IPS 60Hz 4K monitors with FreeSync support. Hi guys I've found that it's time to replace my Samsung Syncmaster B2430L and these two monitors are the ones I've laid my eyes on. Both seem very good, both are IPS, but there are indeed some key differences. Now if it comes to hardware I wouldn't have a problem figuring it out, but in this case I have a hard time picking the correct monitor. I live in Denmark, here the monitors cost: Dell (280$) and LG (250$) I work alot with software, different IT-tasks, watch movies and play games quite a bit. I like to multi-task, so i usually do have 2 different windows open. I usually sit between 50-60cm (19.8-23.6inch) from the screen.
