Hi, I have a Biostar X470NH that is paired with a 5600. I quickly realised it is stuck just below 3.5GHz. After some googling I found a Reddit thread with the exact same problem and it said the fix was Biostar giving them a modified bios that has the CPB unlocked. I tried contacting their support but it has been a week without any responses. In my current bios the supposed option of CPB is not available. I tried using AMIBCP to force it to show the option which worked but still did not enable CPB. Any thought on how I could replicate the modified bios? Attached is the latest bios file.X47BK523.BSS

Sorry for making an account just for this, I figured someone here would know and HP is out of hours so won't currently help me, not that they're useful anyway. I was trying to get my workstation to boot into BIOS. I tried F10, booting through recovery and CMD but none worked. I pressed the CMOS button assuming this would revert BIOS settings and let me boot into it. I turned the machine back on, pressed F10 and was shown a "Secure Boot" screen. It reads "A request has been made to change this system's secure boot configuration. which may affect the secure boot keys and/or may disable secure boot." "Please type in and enter the below number for authorization" My problem is that each time I've booted I've typed the number and pressed enter, nothing has happened. I've tried in both front and rear IO USB ports and don't have a backup keyboard but I know the keyboard is working. Hi, I'd like to change my BIOS mode to EUFI from legacy if possible. I couldn't see anything in the BIOS settings. Could someone run me through how to change it please? I've enabled TPM2 and SB for Win11 but I think I need to be on UEFI BIOS mode to install Win11 when available. I have an Asrock A320M-HDV R4.0

So I was looking around my bios settings, because why not, and I couldn't find CnQ. I'm currently on the latest (2.80) BIOS version, and the latest chipset drivers are also downloaded. Was it removed or am I just doing something wrong?

I was installing PrimeOS(android os) and it came with a installer after installation the system restarted and an error came while booting error: no such device: //android/kernel, the kernel file is still in the partition. I have attached my system info, Error screen. I turned off the secure boot while doing this whole thing but i again turned it on so in screenshot secure boot is shown ON but please do consider that secure boot was OFF at the time. I tried to install manually by bootable USB, but when I hit enter to install PrimeOS the system restarts and boots into windows, If hit enter on PrimeOS Live system again restarts and boots into windows. I tried disabling windows in the BIOS now it boots from USB and when I hit enter on install PrimeOS,PrimeOS_Live,PrimeOS_DebugMode systems restarts and same installation window appears I tried several times but same thing would happen. This Happens with every android OS, and Only OS I succeed installing was Kali Linux Help would be really appreciated.

I'm trying to install a new SSD onto my computer, and I wanted to backup my windows so that I could boot from my SSD. I backed it up using Macrium Reflect (free edition). Windows is now on one of my SSD partitions. When I went into the UEFI BIOS Utility of my computer, it showed that the SSD was connected in a SATA information section, but it didn't appear in the boot priority section. OS: Windows 10 OS Build 19041.630 Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING BIOS Version/Date: American Megatrends Inc. 0809, 2018-06-22 SSD: WD Blue SATA SSD 2.5" HDD: WD Blue PC HDD 3.5" According to the EZ Update program on my computer, there are no updates. Hello EDIT IN PIC ; thats not mine but im having exactly same issue mobo : asus z97-a cpu : i5-4690k [not oc'd] ram : Gskill 8gbx2 at 1333 storage: 250gb samsung evo 850 ssd [os], 1TB Seagate [data] bios ver : 2801 when i pressed f2 or del at pc startup, sometimes bios appears [freezed] , sometimes windows boots directly w/o entering in bios. mouse and keyboard won't works, looks lik screen freezed. i use quick restart button of cabin, and it repeats. [i mean either freezed bios or windows boots directly] Any helps appreciated.

I have HP Elitebook 8470p, I am currently using Legacy Bios, and also have UEFI too, but it shows "UEFI with CSM" and other option is "UEFI without CSM" can somebody guide me whats the different in both of the UEFI bios, thank you.

HI, i have another problem, my All in One pc Asuspro have not displayed anything after i turn on it, the cpu is running well, hdd start normally, i tried using another screen but still same no displayed anything, this happen after i formated some systems partitions likr recovery partition and unknown partition (I don't remember the name) i deleted on windows installation, because i got igpt partition error, after i deleted those two system partitions i restart the computer after the computer turn on the aio screen no displayed anything include p.o.s.t and bios, but the all hardware running so well like usual but no with the display, i already reinstalled ram. Should i reinsert cmos battery for bios reset???

OK, so I recently purchased a samsung 970 pro 512GB m.2 SSD. I get it situated in and everything, and for the first boot up i check to see if it is recognized in the UEFI BIOS, the BIOS sees it as a usable drive and even places it in the boot order between my other hard drives and my optical drive. looks fine, so i boot into windows and check file explorer and don't see it. So at this point I'm thinking it needs to be initialized in disk management, but upon entering disk management i see it isn't there, I re scan disks and still nothing. I go over to device manager and under the disk drives tab it shows up as samsung 970 pro like it should, I guess my question is what would cause a drive to be recognized by the BIOS, AND device manager, but NOT disk management. It isn't showing up as un-allocated it just isn't showing up in disk management at all. I tried installing Samsungs NVME driver from the website, installed and rebooted, I tried: 1.) Rescan disk in disk management, but it loads for a few seconds and then disappears like it found nothing of interest. 2.) downloading samsung NVME driver from samsungs website and installing and rebooting 3.) downloading samsung magician, but it isn't recognized by that at all, I tried downloading MiniTool Partition Wizard and it isn't recognized there either, both of them will only recognize my 1TB and my 4TB mechanical hard drives. 4.) Updating Windows 10 and the UEFI BIOS to the latest versions and repeating all above steps 5.) Disconnecting my other drives and trying to install a clean copy of windows on the SSD, but when it asked where i would like to install windows it won't show me any drives to install it on. 6.) unplugging the drive and re-seating it to make sure it was plugged in correctly and repeating applicable above steps. I'm out of ideas on how to make it show up in disk management so i can initialize it and use it like i want. like i said windows 10 and the UEFI BIOS both read it like a usable drive but i have no Idea what would be causing it to not show up in disk management. PC Specs: CPU: i7 6700k at a very modest overclock of 4.4Ghz mobo: Asus rog maximus VIII Extreme, Ram: 32 GB corsair dominator platinum 3200Mhz. So I'm returning here to all of you brilliant trouble-solving people with a problem to fix (probably easy fix..?) I've managed to startup my new PC-Build, and entering the UEFI BIOS menu. I've made a bootable USB stick containing Windows 10 64 bit ISO file. I made it following this tutorial (made the USB Drive from my Macbook) Afterwards I re-booted my new desktop computer, with the USB-stick inserted. I did as I thought should be right: - Went to the "Boot" button, chose the USB-stick containing the (hopefully) bootable Win10 ISO, and pressed enter. What happened is that the screen went black, and the picture returned after 3-5 sec, at the same UEFI BIOS menu I was at before pressing "Enter". The same happened as I tried to go into the "Advanced Settings", find the "Boot override" section and choosing the USB Stick once again. My system information: Motherboard: Asus Deluxe z170 CPU: Intel I7 6700k RAM: 2x Hyperx 2133 Mhz 8GBs sticks. GPU: None yet. Case: Fractal design R5. I will past images of the process: The USB-stick connected to a USB 3.0 Front-Panel plugin: The UEFI BIOS before doing anything (with USB inserted): Clicked into "Boot Menu": Scrolled down to the USB stick with arrows on keyboard and pressed "Enter": Screen went black, and then back to this: Then I clicked at "Advanced Settings": Found "Boot Override" and clicked at the USB-stick again: Screen went black again, and it returned to this: Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Hello folks, I had my i5 4690K Oc'd comfortably @ 4.3GHz 1.2v. I updated the AMI BIOS to 2.8 and when it was installed and everything, I realized all the OC's (CPU + RAM) had been set to default! Naturally, I loaded my OC Profile, but when I clicked to load it it said: "WARNING!!!The SETUP data is not equal to the HOLE,So can not Load User defaults!" So then I said I'd re-OC my parts. RAM first. So it set it to: 2133MHz 10-11-10-30 @1.67v as it was before. Booted into Windows fine. I restarted the system, went to my CPU Core Voltage and set it to 1.2v, then went to the CPU Ratio, typed in 4.3, and it just flashed back to AUTO. I have an MSI Z97 Gaming 3. I also tried everything again after installing the BIOS version I was on before, 2.7. What should I do? Any help is appreciated. ~Cookie

I was playing crisis 3 when my computer froze. I turned it off and said i'd figure out what happened tomorrow. Well tomorrow rolls around and I try and start my computer. Well I get sent to straight to my UEFI bios. I have an as rock extreme 3 motherboard for amd 3+. So i thought this was just some weird fluke and I cleared my CMOS. That also didn't fix it. I've taken both my hdd and ssd out and put them into another computer and they both work. I also tried another disk drive. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, and currently I'm trying to flash my bios. EDIT: I updated my bios and it still won't register any of my sata devices.
